The stone steps of the labyrinth were melting a bit more with each step, turning into a glassy layer of lava. When Darius and his team descended into the massive underground hall meters below the French Tower, there was nothing regarding illusions or mind games. There was only a pure, destructive magical energy that blinded the eyes and shredded the air in the lungs like glass shards. In the center of the hall, the eighth and ninth Port stones stood like monoliths. The eighth stone had already awakened; the blood-colored magic pouring from it like a waterfall was filling the ancient runes on the floor of the hall. And right between these two stones stood Abu Nazir, bending gravity merely with his presence. He didn't have a wand in his hand. He no longer needed a wand. With his arms spread wide, he was a silhouette of a god with green and crimson magical energy bursting from his veins. The massive stone columns of the labyrinth were trembling slightly due to the pressure wave swirling around him. "Illusions are for the weak," roared Nazir, slowly raising his hands into the air. In place of his eyes, there was only pure, burning chaos energy. "Today, right here, we will see whose will shall bend reality!" Nazir suddenly slammed his hands to the ground. "Ruina Totalis!" No light or curse shot out; instead, the gravity of the entire labyrinth abruptly reversed. The massive stone blocks, the lava pools on the floor, and the eight-person team were hurled toward the ceiling at a terrifying speed. While the ceiling turned into a deadly floor in seconds, Nazir merely hung suspended in the air and smiled. "Shields up! I mean down!" shouted Barlas, aiming his wand at the ceiling in the panic of losing his sense of direction, trying to weave a cushioning charm (Arresto Momentum). But Nazir didn't let them breathe. While suspended in the air, he made his hand into a fist. Barlas's shield shattered like glass before it even formed. As the team violently crashed into the ceiling, the sounds of bones breaking echoed in the labyrinth. Sina screamed in pain and passed out. "If you want pure power, you will get pure power!" shouted Kuzey. While plastered to the ceiling, he managed to turn his massive, illegal wand on his shoulder toward Nazir. "Bombarda Maxima!" The massive golden energy ball hurtled toward Nazir. Nazir simply struck the air with the back of his hand. That spell of Kuzey's, which had torn down a massive castle, deflected off its trajectory the moment it collided with Nazir's bare hand, hitting the labyrinth wall and completely vaporizing it. Alaz, crawling on the ceiling under the weight of his dragon-scale armor, turned the barrel of his pump-action shotgun on Nazir and fired in rapid succession. Before the dragon-fire bullets could reach Nazir, they were crushed in the invisible pressure field around him and exploded like fireworks. Nazir pointed his finger at Alaz and simply squeezed. An invisible vise wrapped around Alaz's throat and pinned him to the ceiling. As Alaz lost his breath, his gun dropped from his hands. "We are here, too!" roared Meltem. Using Lidya's shadows like a slingshot, she shot like an arrow from the ceiling toward Nazir into the zero-gravity void. The basilisk poison on her knives glowed with a deadly green. Without even turning his head, Nazir swung his other hand toward Meltem. A pure kinetic shockwave caught Meltem in mid-air and hurled her against one of the stone pillars at the other end of the hall, cracking her ribcage. Meltem crashed to the floor like a lifeless doll. In just seconds, Nazir had shattered the entire team without even moving from his spot. Darius let go of the stone outcrop he was clinging to on the ceiling. Spinning around, he went into a freefall and gripped his wand with both hands. He trapped all the pain in his mind, Efsun's death, Alaz's choking, and Meltem's scream into that dull, black void. While falling, he screamed those forbidden words that pierced gravity and Nazir's field. "Sectumsempra... OMEGA!" The black scythes shooting from Darius's wand absorbed the air like a black hole and collided with the invisible pressure around Nazir. The first scythe shattered. The second cracked. But Darius, forcing his own blood and life energy into his wand, allowed it to vomit a third and a fourth scythe. One of the black scythes pierced Nazir's impenetrable pressure shield and opened a deep gash from the man's right cheek down to his shoulder, slicing through flesh to the bone. Nazir's blood dripped onto the floor of the labyrinth for the first time. Distracted by pain and shock, Nazir's gravity spell suddenly collapsed. The entire team rained down from the ceiling meters below, crashing onto the hard floor of the labyrinth. When Darius plummeted to his knees, blood poured from his mouth, but he stood up. Before him stood Abu Nazir—half of his face sliced open, covered in blood, but still pulsating with a massive magical energy. Nazir brought his hand to his bleeding face. As he looked at his own blood, the chaos energy in his eyes gave way to a pure, mad hatred. The Eighth Port stone behind him abruptly began to crack violently from Nazir's spilled blood, and the darkness inside it began to break free. Darius raised his wand again. Beside him, Barlas struggled to his feet and joined him. "Only one person is making it out of here alive today, Nazir," growled Darius.43Please respect copyright.PENANA0DPqam6tWP
