That single drop of blood trickling down Nazir's cheek did not fall onto the melted floor of the labyrinth, but directly into that deep, pulsating crack in the center of the Eighth Port stone. The moment the blood touched the stone, time stopped. From inside the stone rose a high-pitched frequency that tore the eardrums, resembling thousands of people screaming at the same time. The green and crimson magical energy gushing from the cracks burned the surrounding oxygen in seconds. The stone wasn't awakening; it was poisoned by Nazir's uncontrolled, wounded blood, practically turning into a black hole. Nazir, despite that horrific wound covering half his face, did not return to his wand. His hands glowed like two fireballs within the bending space-time. "You cannot take what is mine from me!" roared Nazir, his voice turning the walls of the labyrinth to dust. "I am the god beneath this city!" Nazir swung his arms forward. Three massive energy whips made of pure, raw magical energy, each as thick as a tree trunk, bent the light in the air and came down upon Darius and Barlas. Barlas gripped his silver-headed wand with both hands and raised it in the air. "Protego Maxima... Repello Inimicum!" The massive golden shield Barlas wove cracked like glass with the first strike of the whips. With the second strike, Barlas dropped to his knees, blood pouring from his nose like a gutter. "Our turn!" shouted Darius, stepping behind Barlas's shield and aiming his dark wand straight at Nazir's heart. "Avada Kedavra!" The toxic green light shooting from Darius's wand was the purest, most merciless killing curse an Auror could cast. The curse tore through Barlas's shield and advanced toward Nazir with the speed of lightning. But Nazir, instead of deflecting the killing curse, slammed his hands together. He pulled the chaos bursting from the Eighth Port stone in front of him like a wall. When the killing curse hit the wall of chaos, it didn't vanish; it ricocheted off, hitting the ceiling of the labyrinth and vaporizing a massive block of stone. Barlas lowered his shield and launched an assault. The former hunter swung his wand like a master swordsman, and the curses tumbling from his lips one after another illuminated the labyrinth. "Confringo! Expulso! Crucio!" Explosive flames, shockwaves, and torture curses rained down on Nazir consecutively. Nazir, gliding like a ghost in an almost zero-gravity environment, dodged through the curses, pushing Barlas back with the green necromancy flames he hurled from his hands. "Enough!" roared Nazir, snapping his fingers. The stone floor beneath Barlas's feet suddenly turned into massive steel spikes. Barlas barely jumped back, escaping death, but his wand flew from his hand. The labyrinth was becoming the stage for a pure magic collision of two opposing poles: Darius, who defended absolute order but broke the rules, and Nazir, who defended absolute chaos.

Darius swung his wand horizontally toward the ground. "Fiendfyre!" The hellfire bursting from the tip of his wand took the shape of a massive black dragon and lunged roaring at Nazir. Nazir responded to this untamable fire in kind. He transformed the energy he drew from the Eighth Port into a storm of pure ice and death, unleashing it upon the dragon. Fire and ice collided right in the middle of the labyrinth. The resulting steam and shockwave pinned the half-unconscious team on the floor to the walls. At the center of the collision, the blackness at the tip of Darius's wand and the green flame in Nazir's hands were locked together. This wasn't a Priori Incantatem; it was a deadly lock of pure, raw wills. But the Eighth Port could not handle this massive energy load. The blood seeping from the cracks on the stone melted the core of the magic. The stone shattered with a loud rumble, but instead of scattering shrapnel around, it began to collapse inward. Right in the middle of the room, a massive black vortex opened, swallowing gravity, light, and sound. The fabric of space and time had been torn. The massive gravitational pull of the vortex began to suck in the stones in the labyrinth, Nazir's flames, and Darius's dragon. As Nazir was dragged toward this gateway of nothingness that had opened, the anger on his face suddenly vanished. With his half-open, bloody face, he looked at the vortex, that dark tear. The chaos in his eyes gave way to a dark fascination. He had lost control, but he was virtually mesmerized by the magnitude of the thing that had opened. "Darius!" shouted Barlas, snatching his wand from the floor and clinging to a pillar against the vortex's pull. "If that madman goes through that gate, we won't know where he will go or what he will become! Shoot him!" Darius used a spell that pierced the stones to anchor his feet to the ground. He gripped his wand with both hands. Efsun's death in his mind, the pain of his team, and the destruction of Bodrum... He concentrated it all into that dull black void. Nazir had reached the very edge of the vortex. His body was slowly stretching into the void, being swallowed by the darkness. He turned to Darius and offered that blood-curdling, arrogant smile. "The Ninth Port waits in the dark, Widdershins," whispered Nazir, his voice echoing from within the hum of the vortex directly into Darius's mind. "I am only a beginning." Darius swung his wand forward with a roar. "Sectumsempra... OMEGA!" Those massive, pitch-black scythes shooting from Darius's wand merged in mid-air with the "Bombarda Maxima" Barlas fired at the same time. The two deadly spells struck Nazir right in the chest at a tremendous speed. But there was no explosion.

In the millisecond the spells hit Nazir, the vortex collapsed inward with great silence. All light, all sound, all magical energy was sucked into a single point, and then a blinding white flash detonated. The shockwave leveled the entire labyrinth beneath the French Tower, burying Darius and his team in darkness. Hours later... When Darius sat up from among the rubble piled upon him, covered in blood and dust, the labyrinth was completely silent. A pale morning sun seeping through the torn ceiling illuminated the ruins. Barlas, Kuzey, Meltem, and the others were struggling to get to their feet, gasping for breath. They walked toward the center of the room. All that remained of the Eighth Port stone was a glassy, melted crater. The Ninth Port stone, on the other hand, stood in the corner like an ordinary, pitch-black piece of rock that had fallen asleep. And Abu Nazir... Darius walked around the crater. There was no corpse, no pile of ash, and no trace of blood. Had Nazir been blown to pieces by that final epic blow from Barlas and Darius? Or had he willingly passed into that shattered tear in space-time, to another dimension or the heart of another Port? There was no trace. Only the cold memory of his last whisper echoing off the ruined walls of the labyrinth remained. Darius slowly tucked his wand into his robes. When Meltem came to his side and looked into the emptiness of the crater, there was no victory in Darius's eyes, but the weight of an unfinished war. The king had fallen, but his throne had merely been vacated, not destroyed.
