The next morning, Emily found something under her bedroom door.

A photograph.

She picked it up.

It showed her sleeping.

The picture had been taken from inside her room.

The timestamp:

2:13 A.M.

Emily looked at the photograph again.

Someone was standing beside her bed.

She couldn't see the face.

But the clothes were familiar.

A gray sweater.

Black pants.

Her father's clothes.

Emily dropped the photograph.

Then her phone vibrated.

Unknown number.

One message:

HE'S NOT DEAD.

Another appeared.

HE'S BEEN WAITING.

Emily's hands trembled.

Then:

AND HE'S NOT ALONE.

A final message appeared.

LOOK IN THE MIRROR.

Emily slowly raised her eyes.

The mirror reflected her room.

Her bed.

Her desk.

Her window.

Emily.

But the reflection wasn't copying her.

Emily stood completely still.

The reflection smiled.

Emily didn't.

The reflection raised one hand.

And wrote something on the mirror from the other side.

Three words appeared in the reflection:

Emily stumbled backward.

The mirror suddenly cracked.

Not shattered.
