This is entry 12 of Rogers Camel. it has been a day since we started crossing what once was a river. the heat has been extreme and we had to set up our travel huts half way across. cuz a dust storm started, and i'm in a hut with kathy. jack and a abby are in one and gordon and martha are in the last one. i look at kathy and tell her that i am doing better.
she smiles at me and tells me that she is glad. the storm continues and we are all stuck in our own hut in pairs. i write this down cuz if i don't then it's me giving in and letting it be forgotten. letting humanity win etting everyone think that we all changed we all turned into something else.
cuz one day someone is going to find this book and know that there were still people who had hope that there was still history being written down. thats why i write this so we aren't forgotten. we are living in a world of survival, and if i don't write this down who, who will tell our story, our life, what it was like.

I run out into the dust storm the winds are fast and hard. there is so much dust beng blown aroud i can't even see my feet but i can see a a faint light coming from there hut. i struggle to there hut the wind is trying to push me over. i am using my arms and hands to block the dust from getting in my eyes.
i finally made it to there hut i have a lot of scratches from stuff being blown around and hitting me looks like gordon had the same idea to come to there hut. when i get in there is a very poisonous snake and it has cornered jake and abby in the corner.23Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡS4RVBowfW4
i look at gordon and then look at the torch that is stuck inthe ground it has one pointy end and then back at gordon. he nods and pulls it out of the ground and at the same time he stabs the snake. i grab the kids by the arms and yank them out of the way then stomp on the snakes head multible since i'm wearing boots.23Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡhfKOKeUEuH
gordon stabs the snake again. i go back to mine and kathy's hut while gordon goes back to his and martha's hut. we tell them everything is fine now and we all go to sleep and continues waiting out the storm.
who knows how long this dust storm will last but that was a close call.
