This is entry 11 of Rogers Camel. we decided to go around but then we ran into scull soldiers. luckly they didn't see us but right now we are trying to sneak through there outpost. i look at the other to follow but be quiet and we start slowly weaving through their huts. As we do, Gordon and Martha are in the back, Jack and abby are in the middle me and kathy are leading.
we are about halfway through when we have to stop and hide cuz their signal horn goes off. are look at at gordon and the others and i tell em to hide quickly and we do we hide in one of their huts. the scull soldiers are looking everywhere for us we keep having to sneak to a different spot.
it's going dark when they finally stop looking for us, and we finally escape as we leave we all are relieved that we didn't get caught. we continue through the night trying to put some distance between us and them. Gordon and I share some life stories like i tell him this one time me and my old friend who recently passed away, well, we went on this hunt and we saw a small steam of water it was a beautiful sight. he was sort of a goof at times and it was a very hot day he splashed water at me and i did it back at him. i told gordon the his name was john he was a very good friend.

we continue sharing stories as we keep watch for the rest of the night. till the girls wake up as the kids sleep and after martha and kathy wake up me and gordon get some sleep. in the morning me and gordon go scout ahead while the girls cook and the kids pack everything up.
Gordon and I come across a dried up river, knowing that when we start to cross this, it will be very hot and we will need to use our water wisely. when we get back they are already eating and martha serves up some for us and as we eat gordon and i tell em what we found.
after we are done we start to move again and we eventually get to the river and start to cross............
