"You're not much of a threat" I state standing up fully then turn around to find Maverick staring at me. Silence fills the room. No words exchange. My eyes met with his then trail down his neck where I saw a glimpse of gold.
Why is it hard to breathe?
My body first reaction led me to the makeshift table cleaning off my dagger from the blood. This fire is no joke, the room is hot, yet I am not use to it. Oh right, I never took off my cloak. I place the cloak on a nearby chair. A hand found my heart above my chest. It's beating fast. Keep your cool.
I've been cooking this bird for thirty minutes. More time will be needed for sure. It's almost golden brown from the kiss of the fire.
I was sitting on the opposite side of the room leaning on the wall playing with the dagger in my hand. My eyes glance over at their target, Maverick. He wasn't look at me this time but outside of the window. The light from the fire made his appearance gentle and warm but his personality is awful. The way his thick eyebrows furrows up when he's observing. In a second, his eyes found me.
"It's done. Have at it" I said placing his empty plate down next to him on the couch. I grab my plate walking over to the only room. As I was walking, it’s noticeable that Maverick was watching.
"What? If you thought, you were getting this room then you are sadly mistaken" I shut the door. For a moment, I swear I heard him laughing. Might have over did it. Why should I care? Correct, I don't... I shouldn't.
This room has held numerous amounts of dust.
Theres’s evidence of people living here at one point in time, clothes still here. Empty frames on the walls. Cobb webs in the corners of the room.
"I should probably eat before it gets cold". I sat down on the edge of the bed and started eating. My hand stops in front of my mouth after taking a few bites. I forgot to say grace. "God is grace. God is good. Thank you for another meal. Please give me the wisdom and humbleness for tomorrow. I am not sure what I am doing but I know there is a why. To be honest, I am finding it hard. That's for another prayer. Amen" and with that I continue to eat my food. After a couple minutes of eating, I am done. Not much to go over.
A yawn comes out of my mouth once the food had time to settle in. I place the plate on the nightstand stretching out my arms. I'm so sleepy.
I lay in the bed placing my cloak over me.8Please respect copyright.PENANAX6vmWp4W5h
