“Naruto Uzumaki, Rock Lee, and Neji Hyuga continue their fight against Raiga Kurosuki, with Raiga utilising a local thunderstorm to provide him with an infinite source of lightning. Raiga manages to knock all of them out with his electricity, but Sanshou, Tenten, Karashi, and Ranmaru give them the Curry of Life, but accidentally intoxicate Lee in the process. Ranmaru returns to Raiga, telling him the four are dead, and with his viewpoint of the world changed by the Konoha ninja, he attempts to lead Raiga off a cliff. This fails when a drunken Lee attacks Raiga, who angrily dispatches him. Ranmaru attempts to get Raiga to stop the battle, but Raiga attacks him, accusing him of abandoning him. Naruto returns, though, and defeats Raiga by punching him off a ledge, from which Raiga commits suicide by using lightning to incinerate his body. Ranmaru begins training alongside Karashi as an apprentice at the curry shop, and Naruto’s team returns to Konoha.”

The reason Rock Lee works hard as a shinobi
Dramatic music plays in the background, featuring a mix of electric guitar, drums, and Japanese flute, as the battle between Raiga and Rock Lee continues from the previous episode. At the cliff, it is still raining. A dialogue takes place between them, which explains why Rock Lee works hard as a shinobi.
Raiga: Why, why do you go so far?
Rock Lee: I will become so strong that Guy sensei can smile at me with pride because that is my way of the shinobi.
Raiga: I see, that explains it, your whole life is devoted to your sensei of yours. Well, this guy person can be the one to hold your funeral. With all your hard work and devotion, I am sure he will shed a tear.
Afterwards, Raiga utilises a local thunderstorm to provide him with an infinite source of lightning to use. He activates his jutsu, Ninja Art: Thunder Dragon Tornado, and he strikes Rock Lee, and Rock Lee passes out while he falls off the cliff.
As evident in the dialogue, Lee works hard because he wants to be strong and, in the process, to make Guy Sensei proud of him. This shows that he highly regards his sensei and considers him to be someone precious. Therefore, Guy Sensei is more like a father figure to Rock Lee.

Ranmaru’s attempt to atone for his sins
Ranmaru returns to Raiga, telling him the four are dead, and with his viewpoint of the world changed by the Konoha ninja, he attempts to lead Raiga off a cliff. When Ranmaru appears, Raiga is happy to see him, as is evident in his words, “Ranmaru, I don’t believe it; you’re alive!” As a result, Raiga carried Ranmaru and put him on his shoulder. In the process, Raiga said to Ranmaru, “Nothing will ever separate us again, Ranmaru; now let off these brats and get back to screwing mayhem like we always have.” Yet he does not know that it was a trap when Ranmaru activated the fog surrounding them. Ranmaru also told Raiga that they should leave because the genin were dead. As he leads Raiga to the cliff, he wants to atone for his sins by killing not only Raiga but also himself in the process. However, this fails as a drunken Lee interrupts them. There is an element of change in Ranmaru’s character. Despite caring so much about Raiga, he is willing to kill him to atone for his sins, as compared to before, when he and Raiga would kill lots of people. Therefore, Ranmaru has grown to have a heart and empathy for others. Ranmaru is now a round character who seems like a real person who cares the most about others.

Rock Lee’s drunken fist
This fails when a drunken Lee attacks Raiga, who angrily dispatches him. Triumph music plays in the background with a mix of electric guitar and drums. Despite his drunken state, Rock Lee has the upper hand. Raiga attempts to strike Lee with various lightning bolts, but Lee dodges the attacks. The drunken fist is in full effect as Lee knocks Raiga out with his kick. He was too fast for Raiga. Due to this, Ranmaru was knocked out in the process, but luckily, Naruto saved him.
Meanwhile, after Raiga realises that Ranmaru is nowhere to be found, he is furious at Lee and starts to unleash his lightning along his body. He said to Lee, “You little one, you’ll pay for this!” Afterwards, he unleashed his jutsu, Ninja Art: Thunder Raiman. Despite his jutsu, Lee still has the upper hand as he beats Raiga in the stomach. Thereafter, in the process, Lee ended up unconscious.
Despite being drunk, it is impressive that Rock Lee dodged all these attacks. It is also reminiscent of when he had a battle with Kimimaro and dodged his attacks. Therefore, when Lee is drunk, he is unstoppable, so it is a unique trait that he possesses.

The end of a friendship between Raiga and Ranmaru
Ranmaru attempts to get Raiga to stop the battle, but Raiga attacks him, accusing him of abandoning him. Dramatic music plays in the background, with a mix of drums. Before Raiga could do anything to Lee, Naruto, and Ranmaru arrived on the scene. Ranmaru shields Lee from Raiga’s attacks, and as a result, a dialogue takes place between him and Raiga.
Raiga: What do you think you are doing?
Ranmaru: I have brought you the Curry of Life; I want you to try it.
Raiga: What?
Ranmaru: If you do, you will understand you are not alone. Its spices blend like the feelings of all mankind.
Raiga: What are you saying?
Ranmaru: We have hurt too many; please, we must stop.
Raiga covers his ears. No! That is enough! You have always been my eyes and ears. If you do not stop spouting this selfish nonsense, we can no longer be one.
Ranmaru: Strike me with your lightning, then. If I die, the mighty Raiga falls as well, for we will always be one.
Raiga was shocked while still covering his ears: Ranmaru, I will not be able to remember you for who you were anymore, but I must give you a funeral!!!
Afterwards, Raiga utilises the local thunderstorm to provide him with an infinite source of lightning to use against Ranmaru. Raiga is covered by lightning.
Despite trying to change Raiga’s mindset about life and knowing that their actions were wrong, Raiga is not willing to listen. Their relationship is now strained since Raiga wants to kill Ranmaru for betraying him. This is tragic in the sense that a once-close friendship is now broken.

Therefore, there is a sense of melancholy as he commits suicide. Moreover, when it comes to Raiga’s animosity with the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, it makes one wonder what happened between them. Raiga hates them to the extent that he wants to hold a funeral for them. Whatever happened between them must have been something serious, and this may be revealed in this anime or the other anime, Naruto Shippuden.
Ranmaru begins training alongside Karashi as an apprentice at the curry shop, and Naruto’s team returns to Konoha. Despite Raiga’s tragic death, the episode ends on a positive note as Ranmaru begins training alongside Karashi as an apprentice at the curry shop. Ranmaru has found people who care about him and will never be alone. Naruto’s team returned to the Leaf Village since their mission was successful. They defeated every member of the Kurosuki family.
The lesson from this episode is that there are good people who care, as is evident when Ranmaru finds people who care about him at the curry shop.
