Outside the curry shop, the genin realise that there’s a storm, not realising that it symbolises Raiga’s revival. Neji noted that the lightning came from the Kadabami Gold Mine, where Karashi was frightened to see that his former boss was alive. This episode is primarily focused on Raiga, who has undergone significant changes since his previous appearance.

Raiga’s caring nature towards Ranmaru
Raiga awakens to find Ranmaru unconscious. Creepy music plays in the background as Raiga is perplexed to see Ranmaru in that state. He starts speaking to Ranmaru, saying, “No, it can’t. Ranmaru...Hey, Ranmaru, wake up already. Quick joking around, okay? It isn’t funny.” He bends down, tries to wake Ranmaru up, and continues to say, “Hey, Ranmaru.” The repetition of Ranmaru’s name shows that Raiga can’t believe that the person he cares about is dead.
Moreover, after realising that Ranmaru is not waking up, he looks at Karashi with an angry look on his face. He questions Karashi, saying, “Tell me, tell me what you did to Ranmaru.” Karashi responds while he is frightened, saying, “Nothing, I swear! It was you. Ranmaru, he laid his hands on you, boss, and you came back, and then he...” Before Karashi could finish his statement, Raiga had a sad look on his face as he said Ranmaru’s name. It is tragic in the sense that Ranmaru is willing to sacrifice his life to save Raiga, and since Ranmaru is not waking up, Raiga concludes that he is dead. Therefore, as a result, he threatens to kill the genin, who is supposedly responsible for his death. This shows his caring nature towards
Ranmaru in the sense that he was willing to kill the people who were supposedly responsible for his death.

Raiga’s massive strength
Raiga vs Tenten
Tenten has no choice but to engage Raiga by herself, but she is eventually defeated. At the cliff, Tenten was unconscious, and after some time, she woke up. She witnessed everything and wondered how Raiga could still be alive. Therefore, she has no choice but to engage Raiga by herself, which results in a battle between Tenten and Raiga.
She summons her ninja tools and tries to tie up Raiga with her chains. She also tossed various kunai at him. However, he stops her attack by using lightning and breaks free from the chains with it. As a result, the lightning strikes her, and she lands on a rock. A threatening melody plays in the background as Raiga has the upper hand. He comes closer and tries to stab her, but she dodges his attack. She resorts to holding a wooden stick and beating him with it. She seemingly has the upper hand because she tossed one of his weapons aside. However, when she tries to beat him up with the wooden stuff one last time, he partially cuts the stuff into two using his sharp blade. Afterwards, he infuses his lightning through the blade, which travels through the wooden stuff and then hits Tenten. Due to this effect, she lands on the ground. Raiga seems to have more control over lightning as compared to the first time he interacted with the genin. Henceforth, he has acquired massive strength thanks to Ranmaru.

More details concerning Raiga’s caring nature towards Ranmaru
Raiga then demands that Karashi turn over Lee, Neji, and Naruto to him, threatening to kill him and his mother. After defeating Tenten, he looks at Karashi and holds him up by his collar. A dialogue takes place between them.
Raiga: You know, I’m not a smart person. He’s dead, and I don’t know how it happened. I don’t have the slightest idea, so who killed him? Was it you?
Karashi: No! It wasn’t me! I swear! Maybe those guys from the Leaf Village
Raiga: Huh, you’re right; if those brats had never come, then I could have had Ranmaru with me forever.
Raiga tightens his grip around Karashi’s throat and threatens him. Raiga went on to say, Where are they hiding? Come on! You'd better know where, because if you don’t, you’re dead.
Karashi, with an up-pitched voice, says, Yeah, I know...maybe...
Raiga releases Karashi, and he falls to the ground. Karashi seemingly runs away from Raiga and looks at Raiga with a scared look on his face.
Raiga: Get up, you worm, and take me where they are. GET UP!!!
Karashi, with a squeaky voice, says, Yes, boss.
As Karashi starts leading the way, Raiga stops and turns his back to where Ranmaru is supposedly dead on the ground. He begins by saying, “Don’t go yet, Ranmaru; I haven’t given you a funeral. I swear that soon I’ll lay their corpses at your feet.” Then he turns away and follows Karashi.
As it is evident in the dialogue, Raiga won’t rest until he has his revenge on the people who supposedly killed Ranmaru, to the extent that he is determined to lay their corpses at Ranmaru’s feet. Ranmaru was someone who gave him a purpose in life; hence, it explains his caring nature towards Ranmaru, even though it is toxic.
Karashi tricks the group into going to Raiga and attempts to escape with his mother. When Karashi arrives at the curry shop, he finds his mother and the genin outside. He starts telling them lies about Tenten falling off a cliff. The genin wonders what happened, and Karashi responds by saying, “We were both running; Tenten and I were still busy; Lee was still busy, and she told me I could train with her, but then when we got to the lightning pass, a bolt of lightning hit a tree and knocked it towards us, and Tenten fell off a cliff, all the way to the bottom!” Therefore, the genin decides to leave so that they can find her. However, before they can leave, Neji looks at Karashi with a suspicious look on his face.
Karashi decides to stay behind and says he’s going to grab the first-aid kit and that he will be right behind them. Neji says, “Very well.” So as soon as Naruto, Neji, and Rock Lee left, Karashi told his mother that they were all running away. She wonders why, and Karashi says he will explain later and that they should first run away. At that moment, Karashi remembers Raiga saying to him, “I’ll be waiting at Lightning Pass, so bring them to me, you worm; I’ll have my revenge. If you don’t, the corpses I’ll lay on Ranmaru’s feet during his funeral will be you and your mother.” That’s why Karashi is pressuring his mom to leave, but she refuses. Karashi had no choice but to do what Raiga said because he not only threatened his life but also his mother’s life.

Raiga’s massive strength
Raiga vs Naruto, Neji, and Rock Lee
Elsewhere, Naruto, Lee, and Neji are faring badly against Raiga, who is using a thunderstorm to increase his power, but Sanshou heads out to provide curry for them. As Neji and his team are on their way to Lightning Pass, it is raining. Along the way, Neji noticed that Karashi’s story was not adding up. A dialogue takes place where Neji says:
Neji: Would lightning in a tree be enough to send Tenten over a cliff?
Naruto: Huh? What do you mean?
Neji: I don’t know; perhaps Karashi’s training didn’t stick.
Rock Lee: That is my fault.
Naruto: Then what?
Neji: Maybe it’s some kind of trap again-
Rock Lee: Or someone is threatening him.
Naruto: But we already beat the Kurosuki Family
Neji: Maybe my eyes were clouded.
Naruto: No way...It’s him.
Neji and the rest are already suspecting that Raiga is alive. So, as they are on their way to Lightning Pass, they keep in mind that there is a possibility that they will face potential danger. When they arrive at Lightning Pass, they find Raiga.
As a result, a battle takes place among them. Raiga has the upper hand since his lightning is way stronger this time. This is evident in Neji’s words when he said, “He was using sheer chakra before, so there was a limit to the power he was wielding, but this time he’s using real lightning as his source. If he can draw upon the power of nature itself, truly harnessing it, there’s no stopping him.” Raiga has massive strength since there is no limit to his power; he can depend on the storm to defeat the Genin.
After realising Raiga’s strength, Neji activates his Byakugan and tells his team that if they can dodge his attacks and take the battle right to him, they might defeat him. Therefore, Neji instructs Naruto to take the first step. For instance, Naruto activates his Shadow Clone Jutsu and goes after Raiga until he reaches him. Meanwhile, Neji attempts to strike Raiga in the back using a gentle fist, but a huge bolt of lightning strikes Neji instead, and he passes out. Another huge bolt of lightning strikes Naruto, and he passes out. There is a threatening atmosphere since both genin are defeated. As a result, intense music plays in the background with a mix of drums, violin, and electric guitar.
It’s now Rock Lee versus Raiga as Rock Lee removes his weights from his ankles. Despite Rock Lee being struck by a huge bolt of lightning, he is still standing. Raiga is perplexed, as is evident in his words, “This kid is unbelievable.” What will happen next between Raiga and Rock Lee? We are left in suspense until we watch the next episode.

Tenten’s crucial words to Ranmaru
Tenten returns with Ranmaru, insisting that he live because it is a choice his and Raiga’s victims did not have, and has Sanshou make the Curry of Life for him. When Tenten arrived at the curry shop with Ranmaru, she told Sanshou about what Karashi had done. As a result, Sanshou decides to stay and give the curry of life to Ranmaru; however, he doesn’t eat. Meanwhile, Karashi arrived at the kitchen and noticed that his mom had messed up the blend of spices, so he added some spices to the curry. After Karashi finished making the curry, he gave the curry to Tenten. Tenten attempts to give Ranmaru the curry, but he still refuses to eat. A dialogue takes place between Tenten and Ranmaru:
Tenten: Are you so dependent on Raiga that you can’t even eat when you’re not with him?
Ranmaru: Why? Why are you helping me?
Tenten: Do I need a reason not to let you die? Grandma Sanshou and Karashi put their hearts and souls into making this curry; they did it to save you. Don’t you feel anything, seeing the two of them try their best for you like that? Because if you don’t feel something, then you’re just a horrible human being. People help each other, whether it’s saving their lives or just lending a hand. If someone needs help, don’t you naturally just step in?
Due to her words, Ranmaru tries the curry of life and finishes eating it. He also wants Raiga to eat the curry. As a result, they leave to see Raiga. In the next episode, Ranmaru and the rest will go to the Lightning Pass, where Raiga is. What will happen when they get there? We are left in suspense until we watch the next episode.
The lesson from this episode is that in life, some will naturally help someone who’s in need, just like Karashi, Tenten, and Sanshou are trying to help Ranmaru feel better.
