The construction site was located outside of the town and it was largest one to occupy the grasslands. About fifty workers in total were working their butts off since last November. They groaned from the pain in their hands and body and grunted from the constant sass from their boss who were on their butts since they started the project, but it wasn't her fought. Whoever hired them, wanted the buildings done by July and now it was February.
A rusty blue truck pulled up at the front gates as Jax hopped out with his construction vest over his blue shirt and his cap in his left hand. The boss lady jogged over to the gates and personally let Jax in. "You're late, Beckett."
"Yeah I know, sorry boss." Jax placed on his orange cap. "What do you want me to do today?"
"I want you working one of the machines." She said. She then pointed to a large orange machine. "Maybe the Loader."
Jax nodded his head "Got it boss!!" Jax jogged over to one of the construction machines. He hopped into the Front Loader and started up the engine. He moved the lever forward as he began to move slowly towards the big pile of dirt. He grabbed ahold of another lever and began to push forward as the Loader lowered down picked a hand full dirt up.
"Hey Jaxy!!!" A construction worker shouted.
Jax turned to his left and saw a fat man with a messy beard swinging his lunch bag back and forth while walking towards Jax. Jax sighed and turned off the machine. "What's up Randy?"
"Oh nothing much, about to start my lunch break."
"But it's eight in the morning, lunch doesn't start until one." Jax said.
"And?"
Jax sighed and shook his head. "Never mind, what do you want?" He asked.
"I just heard about your mom this morning, she plead not guilty in the court a few weeks ago?"
"Yeah, and?"
"Nothing, I just feel sorry for her." Randy rubbed his belly. "You know...your mother was always nice to me. She always brought me and the others lunch when we insisted that we buy her lunch instead."
Jax cleared his throat. "Yeah...she was some sort of saint."
Randy chuckled. "Yeah, she was..." Randy raised his finger. "But she was also stubborn."
Jax looked up from the controls. "What?"
"Yeah, she was always trying to one up us with her schemes and rubbing it in our faces on how much money she made." Randy cursed. "Maybe that's why how she ended up in prison."
Jax bald his fists. "Take that back...."
"What?"
"Take it all back!!!" Jax shouted. His eyes began to turn purple as his left pocket in his vest glowed silver.
Randy dropped his lunch bag and raised his hands. "Woah, calm down Jax. I didn't mean any of it....I was just telling the truth."
"You and the others are gonna pay for framing my mother!!"
"Jax, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yes you do!!" Jax jumped out of the machine. "When you and two others decided to rob the person who hired us, you framed my mom by placing money in her bag."
Randy began to shudder. "I..I..don't...know what you're talking about."
"Oh, you'll know what I'm talking about soon!!" Jax twisted his hands. The pillars began to untangle and unscrew themselves from the others. Everyone began to mumble as they saw the pillars were hovering in the air. The construction workers gathered together in a crowd including their boss who stood in the front. They were standing so far away from Randy and Jax that they couldn't even make out what was going on.
"Jax, what are you doing?"
"Turn yourself in!!!"
"I...I can't."
Jax puffed as he slowly raised down his hands. The silver pillars began to hover over Randy. "Yes you can!!"
"I'm sorry!!!"
"Sorry's not gonna do it. Maybe your death will be a nice substitute!!!" Jax's eyes flashed silver as the pillars responded quickly. Thud!, the pillars hit the ground one by one and in result, squashed Randy to death. Blood began to come from underneath the piles of the pillars and soon soaked into the dirt and sand. Everyone shouted and yelled as they ran over to the pile of pillars and tried to lift them without machines. Jax saw the boss running over as Jax took off his cap and ran for his truck. He quickly hopped in, turned on the engine, did a U turn, and drove off.

He did a turn onto the highway and began to feel a sudden ache in his body like something was growing inside of him.
"Ah!!" He felt his heart beating faster than usual as his eyes glowed purple. Jax took his eyes off the road for a second and now a car was honking at him not to crash. Jax acted quickly as he turned the wheel right and was now trying to avoid another car. He swerved in front of another car and got off of the highway. He was reaching Backwoods Creek and thought the pain was gone.
A big truck turned in front of him as he turned the wheel roughly and landed on a dirt that leads into Gaia Forest. Jax tried his best to keep control, but his truck wasn't all that built for driving on the dirt road. He hit bumps and small holes in the path that made his heart begin beating faster.
"Ahhhh!!!!" He yelled in pain as he turned the wheel left by accident and got off of the dirt path. He shortly drove in the grass and instantly rammed into a big tree.
___________
"Wait, so this key belongs to Jax?" Blake asked. They arrived back in the grotto and Tyler had the silver key dangling from his right hand. He placed it on the wooden table as Sofia raised her scroll. The scroll left her hand and quickly flew towards the crystalized alcove.
"Yeah, it belongs to his trailer."
"His trailer?"
"He lives in a trailer park?" Sofia asked.
"Yeah, not everyone has a perfect house." Tyler said in a taut voice.
"Sorry..." Sofia didn't mean to be mean. It's just that it was a surprise that the school's bully would live in a trailer park.
Tyler rubbed the back of neck. "Its fine..." He said. "So Blake, why did we come back to the base?"
Blake raised his scroll and it flew into the alcove. "If Jax actually has the magnetic scroll, then that means that we can't approach him like we approach a regular person."
"Why not?" Sofia asked.
Blake jogged over to the bookcase and began to look for a specific book. Sofia and Tyler glanced at each other and shrugged their shoulders. "What are you looking for?" Tyler asked.
Blake finally found the book on the fourth shelf of the first bookcase. He pulled down a book that was titled, Darkness: The Influence of Evil, and jogged back over to Sofia and Tyler. He opened it up to the thirteenth page and placed the book down on the table. They leaned forward and saw a drawn diagram of a normal human being with purple fog covering them. An arrow pointed from the human to a monstrous figure.
"When a human being is corrupted by darkness, their emotions are amplified and when they reach their limit...." Blake cleared his throat. "They turn into a void monster."
"How many books do you read?!" Tyler asked.
Blake grinned. "So...many..."
"Oh god..." Sofia placed her hands together like she was about to pray. "Do you think that's what Abrus might do?"
Blake titled his head. "Well, Vixx doesn't have that many generals or admirable monsters so I wouldn't be surprised if Abrus was recruiting. Kill two birds with one stone."
Tyler slammed his hand on the table. "We have to get to him first." He said in an behest tone.
"And how do you suppose we talk to him?" Blake asked. "I can't talk to him because his stupidly would aggravate me---"
"And because you're choleric." Sofia added on.
"I am not!!!" Blake cleared his throat. "I don't have anger issues...."
"And you Tyler, you can't talk to him because he hates you and you guys just got into a fight." Sofia said.
"So what you're trying to say is that you're the only one that can talk some sense into him?"
"Yeah...if you guys haven't noticed." Sofia pointed to herself. "I'm more calm and thoughtful than you guys."
Blake and Tyler shook and tilted their heads in agreement. "Alright, but we'll be in the car just in case he decides to pull out that monster form." Tyler said.
Sofia nodded her head. "Alright."
___________
Smoke floated up to the tree with a smell of something burning covering the dirt path. The truck began to make rumbling noises which awoke Jax whose head and arms were bleeding. He regained consciousness and let out a deep cough as he looked around. He saw the front of his truck jammed into the side of a tree, but the sides and back were perfectly fine. He began to smell something burning as he immediately opened the driver's door and crawled out. Jax continued to cough until he crawled all the over to another tree. He sat at the trunk of the tree with his legs extended out and his right hand over his heart.
"AHHH!!!" He felt the pain begin to resurge in his body as he began to pant. Jax felt like he was going to die and now he was examining his life and what he had done wrong. First was the horrible event that took place during his sophomore year. That was his first time facing death and fearing it and now he was afraid to die. Second was his mother who had high hopes for him. She didn't want him to be a run down drunk like his father and a construction worker who's barely getting paid like her. She wanted him to be better. The last thing was Jax's own wrongs and the bad things he'd done ever since he entered high school. The people he hung out with and the things they made him do in order to join their group.
"ARGH!!!" The pain felt like four missiles hitting his body and making him explode. He didn't understand how he was surviving this much pain. Ever since he found the scroll, the agony has been increasing and increasing, but he couldn't just throw the object away. It was powerful and it was like a drug that you could never take away from him.
"I can take the pain away." A sudden voice filled the air around him. Jax look from all sides of him and even behind the tree he was sitting on, but he couldn't find anyone.
"Who...who's there?" He asked.
"All you have to do is come to me." The voice said.
"How do I know you can?" He panted.
Jax began to glow as he felt his body being healed by something magical, but also sinister. The glow went away and Jax was on his two feet. He wiggled his legs and then folded his hands into tighten fists. "Thanks...." He felt good and was at full strength, but something seemed off to him.
"Do not express my gratitude with a 'thanks'. Express it by giving back what's mine."
"What are you talking about?"
"The scroll boy, the one in your left pocket."
Jax slowly took out the silver scroll. "This?"
"Yes!!"
Jax examined the scroll. "What's so important about it?"
"Give it to me or die!!!"
Jax backed away, he didn't know who this person was and her voice changed from a pleasant tone to a more sinister and evil voice. "What do you want with it?"
"If you do not come to me and hand me the scroll, I will take it from you and turn you into one of my monsters!!!"
Without any hesitation, Jax stomped his feet and ran off down the dirt path as fast as he could. He didn't know where that voice was coming from, but he knew that it was something devilish and he couldn't let her get the scroll. If she was going to use it for evil, he would have to hide it somewhere that no one will find it, the exact place where he'd found it.
__________
The green car slowly pulled into the trailer park where trash was everywhere and the sign was damaged and vandalized with black ink and spray paint. Kids ran around with water guns while adults didn't even bother glancing at them, but they did glance at the beautiful car that just pulled into their home.
"I don't like this place." Sofia admitted. She saw a woman hanging her clothes on the line to dry, but they were still dirty with stains and grease all over the shirts and jeans.
"Don't worry, most of them are friendly." Tyler said from the backseat.
"Most of them?" Sofia began tapping her feet.
"Don't worry Sofia, we'll be in the car watching you." Blake said as he parked in the shade of a tree and around a couple of bushes.
"You sure you want to do this?" Tyler asked. "Me and Blake could just catch him by surprise and take the scroll."
"That's a bad idea---"
"Yeah, I'll do it..." Sofia nodded her head repeatedly.
"Alright, Jax's trailer is the one far away from the others." Tyler said pointing to the vehicle. Sofia nodded her head as she took a deep breath and opened the door.
She got out of the car and glanced at the people sitting outside of their trailers. They stared right back at her like she was the most hated person in the world. She wiggled the tension off of her as she made her way to the trailer that was away from the others. She tried her best not to glance at the people who were calling her over and asking where she was from.
Sofia gulped as she made it to the trailer. She quickly knocked on the door three times and waited. No one answered as she knocked on the door again, but she didn't hear a single step in the trailer. She peaked through the window and saw junk was all over the floor and the bed wasn't fixed. The dishes were piled up and all the cabinets were open.
"Hey miss.."
Sofia quickly turned around. "Yeah?"
A woman and a man stood in front of her. They were dressed like bikers, but also wore run down boots and hats. "What do you think you're doing?" The woman asked.
"Oh, I'm looking for my friend." Sofia gulped. "Um, have you seen him?"
The woman and man glanced at each other. "You go to school with him?" The man asked.
"Yeah, we were suppose to work on a project together after school, but he never showed up." She glanced at Blake's car. She saw him and Tyler watching her and the two bikers talking, waiting patiently for them to make a move.
"That's funny because I could've sworn I heard on the news that school was cancelled today." The woman said.
"Yeah....it was." The man chuckled. "What's your business here?"
"Look, me and my friends." Sofia pointed to Blake's car.
Tyler rolled down the left window and stuck his head out. "Yeah, we're with her so watch it!!!" He shouted.
"Shut up!!" Blake rolled the window back up as Tyler had seconds to get back in before Blake chopped his head off.
"We think Jax might be in danger and we want to find him first." Sofia said. "Do you know where he is?"
The two bikers placed on a serious face and glanced at each other. There was a moment of silence until the man opened up his mouth to speak. "Yeah, he's working a job as a construction worker."
"Where is he working at?"
"The site outside of town, near the main road." The man answered.
"But he usually gets back around two and it's five." The woman added.
"Thank you, we'll find him and bring him home..."
"Safely....he's family."
Sofia nodded her head. "Safely..." Sofia placed on a crooked smile as she left the two bikers in front of the trailer. She walked fast back to the car and got into it as she let out a deep breath.
"So, what happened?" Blake asked.
"Jax has a job as a construction worker outside of town." Sofia answered.
Tyler slapped his hands together. "Alright, lets go get that scroll--"
"But, he usually comes home at two...." Sofia finished.
"So that means Abrus got to him first." Blake sighed.
"Not necessarily, Jax's smart...he knows how to survive. He's been surviving ever since his mom got sent to jail and his father left him and his mom." Tyler said. "I know he wasn't captured, we just need to find him."
"And how do we do that?" Blake asked. "Wait until he's turns into a void monster and start attacking the town?"
"No." Sofia snapped her fingers. "I have an idea, is there anyway that we can use the remaining essence from the key to track the scroll?"
"No, when the key made contact with my scroll...it vanished."
"Ugh!!" Sofia rolled her eyes.
Blake's eyes widen. "But if we place all of our scrolls together, we can try to summon the essence again."
Tyler nodded his head and took out his scroll. "It's worth a shot."
Sofia and Blake took out their scrolls as Tyler placed the key on the dashboard. "What do we do now?" Tyler asked. Suddenly, the three scrolls glowed enormously as the key reacted by shaking repeatedly. A silver glow emerged from the key and formed a pixelated ball of light. The ball of light made its move as it phased through the front window and flew out of the trailer park.
"What are you waiting for? Let's go!!!"
Blake started up the engine and placed the gear lever into the reverse gear. He slowly pulled out of the trailer park and placed the gear in drive mode as they zoomed down the road.
__________
"HELP!!!" Jax's clothes moved with the wind as he ran down one of the alleyways of the town. A train horned as it went over him and across the bridge that led out the town. Jax acted quickly and hid behind a garbage can full of hold clothes and a mattress laid beside it.
Jax didn't know what to do. He had no family and the only friends he had would laugh it off and think that he's high or going insane. The ones that he used to have would help him without any hesitations, but he wasn't on good terms with them. He though about Tyler and realized that he still had his phone number in his contacts for some reason. Why didn't he delete the number after they went their separate ways?
Jax fumbled in his pocket for his phone. He took it out and unlocked the phone as he went to his contacts and pressed on Tyler's name. He quickly peeked around the garbage can and looked from left to right to make sure no one was watching him. He pressed the eight digit number and raised the phone to his ear.
"Jax!!" Tyler shouted from the other side of the line.
"Tyler..." Jax gulped. "I need your help!!"
"I know, where are you?" Tyler asked.
"I'm on the 42nd street...around the gates...hiding in the alleyway."
"Alright stay there. Me and two of my friends are coming to get you."
Jax shook his repeatedly. "Tyler, you don't understand. This lady began to talking to me and this thing...I found..." Jax began to come up with an idea. "I have to put it back where I found it."
"What? Jax don't do anything...just wait!!!"
"If I put it back where I found it, everything will go back to normal.....AHHH!!!!" Jax dropped the phone as he tumbled down into a puddle of water and began to breath heavily.
"Jax?...JAX!!!"
Jax began to feel his body show signs of a seizure, but instead he stayed still with his mind still conscious. He couldn't move and only saw cars driving pass the alleyway and cats minding their own business, not paying attention to the boy who felt like he was dying slowly.
"You should've listened to me." A female voice came from behind him. He obviously couldn't turn around so he began to groan in agony.
"Who's there?" He asked.
"Your savior...." A foot appeared in front of Jax as Abrus bent down with her hands together. "Do you want me to save you?" She asked.
"Ye...yes." He answered slowly.
"Then give me the scroll!!"
"I...I can't..." Jax groaned. "I can't move my body."
"For Vixx sakes!!" Abrus stood up and raised her hands. The tip of her fingers began to spawn violet mist as it filled the alleyway. "Retsnom live retaerg a nwaps ot ti esu dna ydob s'yob siht ssessop taht live eht revo ekat lliw surbA I!!!" The mist that filled the alleyway soon began to sink into Jax's body.
At first, Jax didn't feel anything until the mist fully entered his body and made its way through his system. "AHHH!!!" Jax yelled, grinding his teeth while turning left to right like he was having a bad nightmare. Suddenly, the pain went away and Jax was able to move his body. He got up and glanced at Abrus. "Crap..." he muttered.
"A thanks would be nice....or just express it by giving me that damn scroll!!" Abrus extended her hand out, waiting patiently for Jax to give it to her.
"What do you want with it?" He asked.
"Give it to me!!!" Abrus eyes glowed. "Or I will turn you into a 'pile of goo."
Jax backed away. "I'm not giving you anything."
"So be it!!" Abrus sighed. "I shall approach this situation in the hardest way." Abrus grabbed Jax as she waved her hands and they disappeared.
_____________
Blake pulled up to the alleyway right around Aurae Street. In a haste, the three rangers got out of the car and jogged into the alley. They looked behind the garbage cans and the old furniture people threw out, but couldn't find Jax anywhere. Tyler looked through the backyards and sighed.
Sofia saw a phone behind one of the garbage cans and picked it up. She pressed the middle button and the screen turned on, revealing a picture of Jax with his mother. "This is Jax's phone." She said.
"Abrus must've gotten to him." Blake said. "What do we do?!"
Tyler sighed. "I don't know...."
___________
The underwater cavern was silent with water dripping from the ceiling and the ocean swishing into the cave. The cavern lit up with the color purple as a orb of light appeared in the center of the rocky ground. The orb transformed into two people, Abrus and Jax.
Jax began to look around. He saw fish and sharks swimming around the small cavern and remained in the center. "Where....where are we?"
"It's none of your concern!!" Abrus grabbed the collar of Jax's navy blue shirt and pulled him over to the pile of rocks. He through him onto the rocks as the large masses of stones began to move and hold him hostage.
"Let go of me!!" Jax tried to break free, but the rocks were to heavy and it seemed like they were holding him by his skin.
"I tried to be nice....but you wouldn't let me."
"Alright, you want the scroll...here!!" Jax stomped his feet as the scroll moved in his pocket. "You can have it!!!"
"It's too late now child and besides..." Abrus raised her hands. "I'm gonna enjoy this!!!"
"AHH!!!" Jax yelled as he felt his soul begin to leave his body. He felt his body getting weaker and weaker while his mind was going all over the place trying to figure out what was happening.
"Oh, you're going to be a beautiful monster!!!" Abrus shouted. "Now let's begin with those people who did your mother wrong."
Abrus thrusted hands towards Jax as he began to shake repeatedly. A silver spirit came out of Jax and converted into black with Abrus placing her hands around it, trying to capture it. The cavern darkened with the eyes of Abrus and the eyes of Jax turning purple.
__________
The green car passed the local park as Blake drove in silence while the others had no choice but to be on their phones. Tyler was texting his mother and telling her that he's alright and that he's with two of his friends. She didn't believe him at first replying to his text with: "You have no friends." Tyler sighed.
Sofia was scrolling through the news slate, looking for any signs of monster activity, but nothing popped up except for a lady who threaten a teenager with a blow dryer.
She scrolled down until she reached the end of the page and saw a news report on the robberies through the town. First, there was a robbery at a pawn shop on Rhea street. The robber stole chains and watches and tore the shop to pieces. The police arrived on the scene and saw more jewelry and other antiques were all over the ground. The police were confused on why the robber didn't steal any other item like a guitar or electronics.
A lightbulb turned on in Sofia's head as she opened up another tab and clicked on another news article about the second robbery in the town. The robber stole jewelry again, but left the expensive purses and wallets. Sofia looked at another article and the robber stole Jewelry again, but left more expensive items in the store.
"Oh my god!!" Sofia snapped her fingers.
Tyler looked up from his phone and Blake blinked as he stopped at a red light. "What?" They both asked.
"These robberies, Jax committed them." She said.
"What?"
Sofia shook her head. "I'm so stupid for not putting two and two together."
Blake and Tyler glanced at each other. "What Sofia?" They both asked.
"So the robber's been taking jewelry from every store that he's robbed, but nothing else."
"Right..."
"Because with jewelry he can easily use some sort of magnet to take the jewelry."
"But jewelry can't stick to a magnet because a lot of them are diamagnetic." Blake said.
"Not unless it's some unusual magnet....like an ancient scroll with magnetic powers."
Tyler slumped in his seat. "The robber is Jax." He said. "I should've known that he was doing it again."
"Again? When's the last time he did it?" Sofia asked.
"2014, his sophomore year. He didn't really rob any stores, but just stole things and sold them online and on the streets." Tyler explained.
"And how do you know this?" Blake asked. Sofia widen her eyes and slapped Blake in the thigh. She slowly shook her head as the light turned green. "Uh, never mind." He said as he slowly placed his foot on the gas.
"So, the plan is to go to one of the stores that he's robbed and see if we can pick up some essence of the magnetic scroll and if we can do that then---"
"We can find him." Tyler nodded his head. "Sounds like a plan!!"
__________
"Think about those people who did you wrong, those people who you thought were your friends and turned on you. They blamed you for something that you didn't do like your mother!!!" Abrus placed her hands on Jax's shoulders. "Feel that pain and anger and turn it into power!!!"
Jax sat still on the pile of rocks with the stones covering his arms and legs and his eyes glowing viciously purple. Pain and anger stirred up in Jax's body as he let out a growl and roar which signaled Abrus to complete her final phase.
"Do you want revenge?"
"Yes..." Jax said with a deep and terrifying voice.
"Then I shall give you the power to claim it!!" Abrus pushed the palm of her left hand into Jax's chest as he let out a grunt noise and began to slowly lean forward. Abrus slowly backed away and Jax stood still with purple squid-like tentacles coming out of his back and wrapping around his body. He was soon in a cocoon that glowed every now and then.
Suddenly, the cocoon hovered over to the mirror and began to crack. The cocoon burst opened with energy coming out of it like a gust of wind coming out of nowhere. The energy hit Abrus as she clapped her hands at the sight of a bronze monster with a small face in the center of a big head. Electric wires came out of the head and the monster had a blaster for a right hand and a magnet for a left hand.
"So beautiful!!" Abrus bald her hands. "Now, take your revenge on those two people and while your at it, destroy those Power Rangers."
"Yes Madame." The monster's voice was electric and deep. The monster raised his right hand to his chest and disappeared in the sound of a magnetic field hitting electricity.
___________
The three rangers raced to the front door of the pawn shop. Right when the rangers reached the door, the owner flipped the "open" sign over to "close."
"You have got to be kidding me!!"
Blake touched his forehead. "What's the next store, Sofia?" He asked.
Sofia took out her phone and looked at the list of shops that were robbed. She gulped. "That was the last one."
"Ah!!" Tyler kicked a fire hydrant and placed his hands on a railing of a bus stop. He looked down and closed his eyes in frustration.
Sofia placed her hand on his shoulder. "Tyler, it's gonna be alright."
"No, its not!!" He turned around to face her.
"Tyler, why are you so worried for a guy who hates you and you hate him?" Blake asked. "Like, I don't understand."
Tyler sighed. "Me and Jax might hate each other, but we were friends once and even though it might seem that we butt heads a lot, we cared about each other. We thought of each other like brothers."
Blake gulped. "Oh..."
Sofia rubbed Tyler's shoulder. "I promise it's going to be okay, we just need to come up with another plan. I read in another article that there was an accident at the construction site Jax works at." She said. "I speculated that that guy who died had something to do with Jax's mother getting arrested."
"So what you're trying to say is that Jax killed someone and he might be after the others who are responsible for his mother's imprisonment?" Blake asked.
"Exactly." Sofia glanced at Tyler who had his lips pursed and eyebrows narrowed. "This might be rough to understand that he might've killed somebody---"
"No..." Tyler nodded his head. "He probably did. We just need to find those people and protect them from him."
"Yeah, but how do we do that?" Blake asked.
Sofia's lips were flattened like she was about to say something until a large crowd of people began to scream and run from the center of the town. Sofia and Blake jumped from the center of the sidewalk as people ran past them like they totally forgot about Blake Friday or there was a sale at Building Depot.
A huge creaking sound like a pirate ship being stationed at bay came from the Central Park as a red Toyota was on fire in the air. The Toyota came down and a boom sound shook the whole town. Cop cars came from every direction and drove straight towards the park. The three rangers glanced at each other and nodded their heads as they went into a nearby alley.
_____________
"Put your....hands up and turn around!!!" An officer of the law shouted as he held his gun and pointed at the monstrous figure that stood in the Central Park. The monster had a woman in the air with its magnet attracting the woman's silver necklace. The monster stood in front of a water fountain that was in a shape of a tree.
"As you wish!!" The monster said as it raised its other hand, which was some sort of blaster, and fired at the cop car which made the officer jumped to the side and drop his gun. The other officers fired their guns at the monster as the bullets deflected off of the figure like flies dying after they touched a light trapper. The monster fired his blaster again as a line of energy came out and hit every cop car and made them explode.
The monster turned his attention back to the lady. "You will pay for what you did to my mother!!"
"What are you talking about?!" The woman began to kick her legs like they were falling asleep.
The monster's eyes glowed viciously. "You know what I'm talking about!!!" It's face began to transform into a human-like face, the eyes glowed purple as the face finished its transformation into a teenage boy.
The woman stuttered. "Ja...Jax?"
"Now do you know what I'm talking about?"
"I'm...I'm sorry..."
"It's too late to say sorry, you will pay---" Jax's face transformed back into a monstrous form as he pointed the blaster at her. "By dying!!"
"Water technique...Tentacle Grasp!!!" The water from the fountain swirled into the air like a tornado and transformed into a tentacle. It grabbed the woman and sat her down on the green grass as she immediately got up and ran into the streets.
The monster reacted quickly and pointed his magnet at her necklace which reacted to the magnet and tried to pull the woman by her neck. A red figure ran over and took the necklace off of her as she ran away while the necklace reached the magnet and stuck to it.
Three colorful figures stood in front of the vicious monster. Sofia examined it and noticed the monster had a magnet for a left hand and two wires sticking out of his head. "Guys, look at him very closely." She said. "What does he remind you of?"
"A failed experiment." Blake said.
Tyler tilted his head. "A large potato with a magnet and blaster for hands?"
"No..." Sofia sighed as the monster struggled to get the necklace off of the magnet. "A monster that was created using the magnetic scroll."
Blake rubbed his helmet. "Which means...."
Tyler's eyes widen behind his visor. "Jax?"
The monster got rid of the necklace as he looked up and saw the three rangers standing in front of him. "So these are the chromatic Power Rangers, how interesting."
"I don't know what the hell that means but--" Tyler pointed his finger at Jax. " You can't hurt innocent people."
"INNOCENT?!!!" The monster's eyes glowed. "Every human on this damn planet isn't innocent. They might seem like it from the outside, but in the inside, everyone is full of sins....including you." The monster pointed to Tyler. "Including me...."
"Yeah that may be true...." Tyler gulped. "But everyone deserves a second chance, they deserve to make up for what they did wrong---"
"And that's what I'm helping them do!!!" The monster pointed his blaster at the rangers and fired. Sofia and Blake got out of the way, but Tyler took the blast head on as he summoned his saber sword and blocked the blast. The monster somehow cranked up his blaster as the energy began to push Tyler back with him still blocking the attack, but he felt his body getting weaker every time he took a step back.
Blake sighed. "I told you before...his vengeance for his mother's arrest is amplified, there's no way we can save him....it's better to destroy him here before he kills anyone else."
"No!!" Sofia shook her head. "I refuse to kill anyone." She said.
"It's not just anyone, Sofia. It's a damn monster!!"
"NO!!!" Tyler began to pant as swirls of the energy began to touch his suit and make small cuts in it. "Our job as Power Rangers is to save, help, and protect people and that's what we're going to do. We have to figure out a way to reverse the monster form!!"
"Yeah, you figure that out..." Blake hopped over the bench and ran for the monster. He took out his scroll. "Earth technique...."
"Blake, what are you doing?!!"
"Stone Bracers!!!" Blake's arms glowed green as they turned into stone-like gauntlets.
The monster pulled his blaster back and pointed it at Blake, but it was too late. Blake reached it and began to punch it repeatedly like a boxer punching a large size of meat stuck on a hook. Every punch Blake laid on the monster, the more his gauntlets began to glow brighter like they were charging up.
"No!!!" Tyler took out his scroll. "Fire technique....Fire Stream!!!" Tyler thrusted his hands forward as fire came out of his palms and went straight towards Blake. Blake pushed the monster back with his punch and quickly turned around and placed his two gauntlets together to make a small wall.
"The hell do you think you're doing?!!" The small wall extended downwards as Blake kicked a portion of it and it turned into a cube of stone which hit Tyler in his legs and stopped his long stream of fire.
Blake's gauntlets faded away. "I'm trying to protect this town...this world and it seems like you want the town to get destroyed while you sit around and try to figure out how to get your former partner in crime back!!"
"No, Blake you know that the darkness corrupted him. This is not his own doing." Tyler said.
"Like I said before, darkness doesn't just corrupt. It heightens a person's deep sins and desires. Jax wanted that man dead and killed him."
"Blake, Power Rangers save people and he needs saving." Tyler said.
"Says who?" Blake walked towards Tyler.
"Says me!!" The two clashed with small electricity appearing between their helmets.
While the two rangers were fighting, Sofia was about to break it up but saw the monster look up and stare at the rangers with one side of its face resembling Jax and the other side staying monster-like. The human side soon transformed back into the monstrous look that it was before as the monster let out a groan.
"Guys!!!" Sofia shouted.
"What?!!!"
Sofia ran over to them. "I know how to get Jax back without hurting him."
Tyler smiled in his helmet. "Alright, I know I could count on the brilliant Sofia to figure it out."
"Alright so the book stated that when a person is corrupted by darkness and when they reach their limit, they turn into a void monster, but the book didn't state if the human, who was corrupted, is some sort of vessel for the monster."
"Vessel? What the hell are you talking about?"
"You know like Dean was a vessel for Michael, the archangel?"
Blake and Tyler glanced at each other.
"You guys never watched Supernatural?"
They both shook their heads.
Sofia sighed and touched the top of her helmet. "Well---"
The sound of water swirling and people screaming filled the park as a violet portal appeared in front of the monster and the rangers. Abrus stepped out of it with her hands folded like she was Cersei from Game of Thrones. Abrus placed the back of her hand on her forehead. "Uh you Power Rangers are irritating."
Tyler pointed his saber at her. "You're not getting the magnetic scroll, Abrus." He said.
"Actually I will. When this mortal finishes his wishing desire, he will be destroyed and the magnetic scroll will be in the palm of my hand."
"What?!" The monster jogged over to Abrus's side. "I thought you said that I will be able to kill those people."
"And you will and when you're done, you will be died." Abrus said in a polite and nice tone.
"I...I won't do it."
"I gave you that power, boy!!!" Abrus slammed her hand on the monster's face. "You will do as I say!!!" Her eyes glowed and so did the monster's as he let out a small groan which soon turned into a roar. Abrus removed her hand and Jax stood strong.
"What I should've done from the start. Make him a mindless monster." Abrus felt her body getting weak from the sun, her body still wasn't use to being back into the human world. She quickly pointed to the rangers. "Destroy them!!!"
"Alright Sofia, time to put your theory to the test." Tyler said as Sofia nodded her head.
Sofia looked at Blake. "We have to do a final attack..."
"Fine. Either way he will die or be saved." The three rangers formed a small triangle as and raised their saber swords like they were about to fence while Jax raised his blaster.
"Final attack!!!" The three shouted as they glowed their specific color.
Jax fired the blaster as the beam stroke the rangers' swords with sprinkles of energy bouncing off and hitting the grass. Together, the three rangers change the direction of the beam to Abrus
"What!!" She panted as she quickly teleported away and the beam hit the tree statue instead. The statue crumbled into pieces as the rangers' swords glowed their respective colors. They thrusted the swords downwards in a vertical way as three colorful slashing projectiles went for the monster. The three slashes hit Jax in the chest one by one as the monster exploded, leaving a pile of purple sand that soon came together and transformed into Jax.
"Jax!!!" Tyler ran over and examined his body. Jax was unconscious due to the stress and the control the darkness had over him. "He's unconscious." Tyler said.
Abrus finally appeared next to the destroyed the statue. "You rangers will pay!!"
Sofia raised her fists. "You want some?"
Abrus was about to take on Sofia, but felt her body getting dry and weaker. "We will meet again rangers and when we do....you all will be feeling toxic boiling inside of your bodies." With a wave of her hand, Abrus was gone.
"Hmph..." Blake rubbed the chin of his helmet.
"Tyler, we should get----" Sofia stopped talking as his mouth was wide opened from the inside of his helmet. The three rangers saw a silver light emerge from Jax's body. The silver light formed the magnetic scroll as Tyler grabbed it and flashed it at the other rangers.
"One scroll down--"
"Seven to go." Sofia finished.
"Lets go."
"What about Jax?" Tyler asked.
Sofia looked around and saw no one stayed around to watch the fight between the Power Rangers and the monster.
"He's fine, he won't get into any trouble. The police already know that it was another monster attack." Blake said. Tyler slightly nodded his head as he regrouped with Blake and Sofia and left the Central Park.
____________
Abrus teleported back to her underwater base with the sand swirling around like a hole was being made and the sand turning pitch black as Abrus crawled from under the sand with her body alive and more vibrant with color than it was before. She crawled her way to the mirror as it glowed from the presence of her power and began to show a dark room. She noticed the markings on the wall and the room began to become clearer.
"Vixx?" She asked in a fainted tone.
As she suspected, the large scaled man in half armor appeared on the other side of the mirror in the dark room. "Abrus!!" Vixx examined her and looked around the underwater base. "What has happened to you?"
"Power Rangers, Mother Nature has formed a new elemental team."
"WHAT, IMPOSSIBLE!!" After Vixx yelled, he began to think about the elemental scrolls as he sighed and sat at his throne. "Actually, it's quite possible. We did not have time to gather of the scrolls so Mother Nature must have found the other scrolls that were not corrupted."
"No, not all of them." Abrus raised her hand and summoned a vision mist of the three rangers at Central Park.
"Nos fo a hctib!!!" He cursed in a forgotten language.
Abrus sighed. "Dear, watch your language please."
Vixx slammed his hand on the small stake of old books. "I should've known Mother Nature would make it hard for us to find the elemental scrolls." Vixx glanced at Abrus and saw how tiresome she was even though she looked way better than after she entered the human world. "You know what this means, right?"
Abrus'a eyes widen. "No, please not him. He's bothersome...I will take the moody brat of yours or anyone else but Toxin!!"
"Abrus!!" Vixx's eyes glowed as he sighed and they went back to normal. "He is not ready to reenter the human world again... he needs more training. And besides..."
Vixx got up from his throne and approached the mirror. "Knowing how my scrolls work, look for any place that gives off toxic and dark readings. I'm sure you can use your mirror to find them."
"But--"
"Enough, I'm must return to my duties and prepare for the invasion." Vixx walked out from the view of the mirror as the image faded away to normal glass.
___________
"Oh yeah baby, got us a magnetic scroll!!!" Tyler raised the scroll into the air as Sofia grabbed it with a grin and placed it on the round wooden table. Mother Nature walked over to the others with a book under her arm that was titled, "How to be a Great Vegetarian."
"Well done rangers, but it is far from over." She said.
Blake pulled up a chair and sat in it. "Yeah, we've got the scroll and now we need to wait for the zord to awaken."
"Skip that, we need to wait for all of the zords to fully awake." Tyler said.
"How do we do that?" Sofia asked.
Tyler shrugged his shoulders. "With the power of friendship?"
Blake rolled his eyes. "Shall we get to training?"
"Woah woah--"
"We just got done facing a monster and now you want to do training?" Sofia shook her head. "I feel like we don't need training, me and Tyler took on those techniques and attacks with no problems."
"That was just you guys going with the flow and feeling the powers surge through you"
"Yeah and it worked!!" Tyler jogged over to Blake and poked him. "Maybe take some lessons from us, it seems as though we showed you wrong...twice."
Blake shoved Tyler. "You guys don't get it. Abrus said that the next time she faces us, it will be toxic."
Tyler waved his hands. "Oh, I'm scared!!" He said in a goofy tone.
Mother Nature slammed her book on the table. "Toxic you say?" She stood strong with her hands behind her back. "If she said that then that means she will summon Toxin somehow....probably with his scroll."
"Wait what?"
"Those void monsters...have scrolls?"
Mother Nature nodded her head. "Indeed, but we will speak about that later and in the mean time, you will train until the sun goes down because I fear that Abrus has placed a hex on you three and one of you or all of you will face the toxic wrath of Toxin."
Tyler gulped while Sofia shook her head repeatedly. "Oh boy." She muttered.
