Strong wind hit Abrus' face as she found herself hiking through the deadly snowstorm that was in Antartica on Deception Island. Of course when Abrus searched for the toxic and dark readings, that it would lead her to one of the most deadliest places in the country. She wore a violet scarf to keep her neck and chin at least warm, but some parts of her legs and stomach were still opened. Luckily, Abrus knew that this country would be cold as she placed some sort of poison spell on herself that allows her body heat to stay at a warm temperature. Even when the coldness and the snowflakes touched her skin, she would feel nothing but a swift breeze.
She was heading towards an arctic base known as the Whaling/Whalers Bay Station and could see it from far away. It was a base used by a Norwegian-Chilean whaling company in the early 1900s as a ship base until oil prices went down during The Great Depression and the base was abandoned. It wasn't until the base came into contact with toxic waste from research labs and Toxin's scroll that it became one of the most toxic places in the country.
Abrus reached the base and noticed the large rusty objects that surrounded the building. From no windows to no doors, the base was definitely abandoned, but Abrus still felt someone's presence in the building. She walked in as her hands had mist surrounding them and her eyes glowed.
"Oh Toxin, come out come out wherever you are. You doltish critter!!" A haunting sound came from the kitchen of the base as Abrus slowly walked towards the room. She peaked in and saw green gas, that must've been toxic, feeling the kitchen. It seemed to be coming from the basement with the door torn off and laying on ground in front of the stove. The dishes were piled up and tables and chairs were dirty. Abrus tried her best to move throw the destroyed and dirty kitchen, but even the terrible smell disgusted her.
She walked down the stairs and now the toxic gas was getting to her. She reached the last step and saw the dirty green toxic gas swirling around something that was glowing in the center of the basement. "Ah, there you are." Abrus slowly walked towards the small gas tornado and placed her left hand inside of it.
"AH!!" Abrus was met with a burning sensation as she yanked her hand out. "You ignorant virulent!!!" Abrus raised her hands as she began to mumble a poison spell that would allow her to phase through the gas and get to Toxin's scroll.
"Hguorht em tel won!!!" An outline formed around Abrus body as she slowly made her way through the gas towards the scroll. She reached the object and grabbed ahold of it as the gas went away and the object stopped glowing. The scroll reacted to the darkness that was inside of Abrus as she threw the scroll in front of her and the object began to morph into a monstrous figure.
Toxin arose from the darkness. His eyes glowed dark green as he stretch his body and looked around the room. He finally looked at Abrus and grinned. "I didn't expect you to need me so soon."
"Don't flatter yourself. If Mother Nature didn't form a new team of rangers, I wouldn't even need."
"A new team...of rangers." Toxin folded his hands into fists. "I thought we made sure she couldn't."
"I thought so too, but don't worry--" Abrus waved her hand. "They're amateurs unlike the previous team."
Toxin crossed his arms. "If they're amateurs, then why do you need my help defeating them?"
"Because you know dang well that you're more suited for battle than me!!"
Toxin chuckled. "I know...I just wanted to hear you say that again."
Abrus puffed. "They may be amateurs, but they're stronger together."
"Stronger together...." Toxin repeated the words as he summoned his long sword and took out one of the green crystals that laid in the swords's cross-guard. "Don't worry, with the help of me and my comrade, we will tear that ranger team of theirs apart, take the elemental scrolls, and this town will bow down to us!!"

BEEP!!, the sound of her alarm shook her up as she pushed her body to the other side of the queen sized bed. She let out a small groan before slamming her hand on the off bottom that was located on top of the light blue alarm. Sofia leaned forward and scratched her head with her hair not as straight as it was before she went to bed. She felt her scalp dry as a desert and just remembered that she forgot to take a shower after she got home from Blake's house. She spent her whole Sunday training with him and Tyler, trying to master the basic "mystical arts" Blake liked to call the techniques. Now, her reward was a dry scalp and messy hair with twenty minutes on the clock before school starts.
She hopped out of bed and slid across her wooden floor of her medium sized blue bedroom. Her walls were, of course, blue with white accents of surfboards and people riding waves scattered across her walls. Her father was the one who designed the room with Sofia having somewhat of a say in what it would look like.
She opened up her drawer, grabbed her comb, a towel, and ran to the bathroom which was down the hall and to the right. Her footsteps weren't even quiet as the mother heard her racing down the hallway before she entered the bathroom. "Be careful Sofia!!" She shouted from the kitchen. The mother took another sip of her coffee and a last peek at the local newspaper before getting up from the dinning table and placing the dirty cup in the sink with the other dirty dishes.
"Urgh, I told her to wash these dishes yesterday." She muttered. She sighed and snapped her fingers as she went to her bag and started to fumble through it, looking for something that seemed old.
Sofia came down the stares with her towel wrapped around her head. She wore casual her Monday clothes which were a silver and blue tunic with white leggings. The mother looked from her bag and chuckled. "I though you hate silver."
Sofia sighed. "Dianna told me if I don't wear silver on Silver Sparkling Day....than she will begin to cry over a hysterical betrayal of two people who've been best friends since the fifth grade."
The mother chuckled again. "Yeah, that sounds like Dianna alright." The mother continued to look through her bag.
Sofia looked around the kitchen. "So, any breakfast?" She asked.
"No, sorry. I'm running late and I feel like I'm missing something---"
Sofia raised the empty plate that was on the table. "Breakfast?"
The mother grinned. "Nooo....oh right!!" The mother snapped her fingers again. She reached into her bag and pulled out her phone. "Do you wanna see something cool?"
Sofia answered with a shrug of her shoulders as she looked around the kitchen, trying to figure out what she was going to eat for breakfast. The mother unlocked her phone and went to her photos and videos. She clicked on a video and handed the phone to Sofia. It was a video of the three rangers fighting the monster in Central Park. The video was three minutes long but it seemed like she caught the whole thing right up until they disappeared.
Sofia's eyes widened. "How....what..where..when?" Of course she knew when and where.
"During the monster attack, I was picking up those donuts." She pointed to the medium sized box in the pantry.
"Donuts!!!" Sofia jogged over to the pantry and grabbed the box full of donuts. She opened the box and immediately grabbed the glazed donut.
"And the Power Rangers showed up out of nowhere." The mother looked concerned after she said that, she sighed with relief. "I'm just glad that they were around when that thing started attacking innocent people."
Sofia swallowed some of the donut. "Did you see what happened to the monster?"
"No, there was this big bright light and the monster was gone. There was this boy though....didn't know where he came from."
Sofia sighed with relief as she handed the phone back to her mother. "People at the aquarium are speculating that these attacks may be the work of supernatural creatures--"
Sofia wasn't even listening, she was counting the bits that were left until the delicious donut was gone. "Do you know who the boy is?"
"Yeah...Jax I think. He goes to your school, right?" The mother grabbed a cup and began to pour some coffee.
"Yeah, do anyone know what's the status with him...like is he going to jail?" Sofia asked as she opened the fridge. She took out some milk and grabbed herself a cup.
The mother shook her head as she placed her cup of coffee by her bag and took a out a mirror. "No, but he is a person of interest."
"Oh..." Sofia poured herself some milk while her mother looked at herself in a small circular mirror.
"Oh by the way, I'm gonna be working late so order some pizza."
"The workaholic Mrs. Woods is working overnight...what a surprise..."
Mrs. Woods grabbed her bag and coffee and kissed Sofia's forehead. "Stay out of trouble as always."
Sofia chuckled from the fact that she was a Power Ranger and the job came with a lot of trouble. "Yeah...I'm too smart for the bad deeds to draw me into trouble."
"Oh, that's my girl." Her mother grabbed her keys from the table walked towards the living room. "Oh and don't have any boys over!!" She shouted as she closed the front door behind her.

"1...2...3..." Blake stroked the punching bag three times with his fists. He was sweating like a woman giving birth, but he didn't let the oncoming heat bother him as he stroked the punching bag again and did two kicks to the sides at the end. He was shirtless and still had his green and gray pajamas on and was house shoeless.
He finally came to an ease as he grabbed the punching bag and made it stop swinging before it hit his window. He hopped into his bed faced down in the covers like he was sniffing them to make sure that he actually washed them. A book sat beside him with the title, "The Lightning Thief" which was written by Rick Riordan who was one of Blake's favorite authors. The history behind mythologies always interested him. The different beliefs in gods and different views and perspectives on things, but reading one of his favorite books didn't seem to cheer him up.
Blake stomped to Tyler and shoved. "The heck is wrong with you?" He asked. "You could've killed us!!!"
"But I didn't, we're all fine." Tyler said.
Blake bald his fists. "Oh, I can't stand you in school and I can't stand you right now!!!" He shouted. "You're impulsive...I don't even know why the fire element chose you!!!"
"And why would the earth element choose someone like you?" Tyler asked. "Someone who easily thinks he's better than everyone!!!"
"I don't think that!!!"
Blake laid up with his hand covering his forehead like he felt a headache incoming, but it was just the terrible truth playing over and over again in his mind.
"Oh and don't let me forget about your rage out you had at school."
Blake gulped and looked away. "I don't know what you're talking."
Tyler crossed his arms. "Oh yes you do. It happened last year, between you and a guy named Kirby."
Blake began to remember the blood splattered across the school's floor with people staring down at the boy who covered his noise and was yelling in pain. The boy's face glowed red as the students looked at Blake with his hands in fists and blood dripping from his knuckles. His glasses were crooked. Blake glanced at the book that was soaked in blood with the title of the book hardly readable.
The boy turned his face and looked at Blake with tearful eyes. "YOU PSYCHO!!" He yelled.
Blake shook his head and slammed his hand onto his bed which made his book close. He had to erase the memory, but he didn't know how. It was like his mind was reminding him of what he actually was. He wasn't the hero that he always wanted to be like the ones in the fairy tales, he was more of the supporting character who envious Tyler's somewhat good senses and Sofia's abundance of intelligence. But what did Blake have?
Blake knew that Mother Nature was right and that a good dutiful ranger and right hand must know when to trust their leader, but he still didn't think Tyler was a good leader. All of these thoughts were going through his mind and the thought of school made him ease up and start thinking about excuses for when he arrives to school late.

It was Monday and the school was reopened with less people filling the halls than it was a week ago. Maybe the students were using the monster attacks and the thunderstorm as reasons for not going to school. Tyler snapped his fingers as he played with a pencil. He could've used that excuse not to go to school, but he knew his mom wouldn't care. She wouldn't even care if the apocalypse was happening today, she would still force him to go to school. She was rough like that, but he thanked her for it.
Tyler was by the main entrance, waiting for Sofia and Blake so that they can discuss about finding the next scroll and sharing theories on how to fully awaken the zords. "Ah!!!" Tyler felt pain in his hands as he dropped the pen. He's been training with Blake, Sofia, and Mother Nature, trying to figure out new techniques that involved the saber sword. Training was harder than before. Probably due to the tension between Tyler and Blake that was never settled.
Tyler reached down and grabbed his pen as he looked up and saw Jax walking the halls with people turning to glance and stare at him before mumbling to their peers about his supposedly involvement in the monster attacks. Jax felt the tension from the students on his shoulders. He heard the harsh words of what they were saying and the people who laughed right in his face. He saw his two buddies who were in the middle of bulling some kid and stopped what they were doing to look at Jax.
"Yo guys, what's up?" Jax said as his friends just stared at him with blank faces. "Who's the fresh meat?"
The two friends glanced at each other while Jax pursed his lips. "I see." Jax turned around and saw everybody looking at him, even the teachers who tried their best to act cool and fake like they were flipping through some papers.
"Do you guys really think I had something to do with these monster attacks?!" Jax asked as the mumbling began again signaling a "YES."
"Well, I hope that these monster attacks continue and I hope that they kill all of you!!" Jax shouted as he punched a nearby locker and stormed down the hallway.
"Hey Jax!!!" Tyler shouted as he waved his hands from the main doors. Jax looked to his right with a disgusted look on his face and he continued down the hall and turned right into a classroom.
Tyler felt bad and didn't know what to do. All these people making accusations on Jax for something he didn't do. Tyler knew the truth, but he couldn't tell anybody because it was the number one rule of being a Power Ranger.
"Rule number one, never reveal your Ranger identity to anyone." Mother Nature said as the rangers lined up in front of her.
Tyler raised his hand. "So like I can't tell my mom?"
"No..."
"But what if she threatens to cut off my phone and tablet if I do not tell her what's going on?"
"You must not tell her under any circumstances."
"Ok, but what if---"
Mother Nature's face glowed red. "ANY!!!" She yelled.
Tyler gulped and lowered his hand. "Ok...."
"Earth to Tyler!!" Sofia snapped her fingers in front of Tyler's face.
Tyler shook his head and placed his pen in his pocket before opening his mouth to talk to Sofia and Dianna. Dianna wore a flashy silver jumpsuit with a weird headband that had flashing lights. She also wore white flats to match her headband. Standing beside Sofia, they both looked like goofballs.
"What took you so long?" He asked. Tyler quickly turned to Dianna and smiled as he lifted his head. "Sup Dianna." He said in a laid-back voice.
"In your dreams Tyler." She said as Sofia chuckled.
"Hey, I remembered that you had a crush on me last year."
Dianna placed her hands on her hips. "And now I moved on to bigger and smarter boys."
Tyler shrugged his shoulders. "Well, you're not my type anyways." He looked at Dianna from down to up. "You have a weird sense of fashion."
"Tell me about it..." Sofia muttered.
"How did you guys become friends anyway?"
"Well---"
"It all started in third grade!!" Dianna extended her arms with a smile, cutting off Sofia. "I was new to school and everyone had amazing fashion senses even for young kids, but one stood out to me the most. I saw a brunette girl sitting in the corner with just a blue t shirt and shorts and flip flops on. I knew from then on....that we would be best friends forever!!"
Tyler looked at Sofia. "Is that true?"
"Sort of...." Sofia glanced at Dianna to see if she was waiting for Sofia to tell Tyler the truth, but she didn't. "Anyways, the reason I'm late is because of....I think you know why."
Tyler slowly nodded his head. "Right...."
Dianna noticed people mumbling and talking more than they usually were in the hallways and she knew something had happened right before she entered the school with Sofia. "So I heard about Jax..people are blaming him for these monster attacks?"
Tyler rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, I just witnessed people looking at Jax like he's the apocalypse."
"Your simile is wrong." Sofia said.
"What?"
"I think you meant to say 'like he's one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse' " Sofia said.
Tyler and Dianna looked at each other and rolled their eyes. "Whatever." They both said.
Dianna sighed. "I don't blame them tho. These monster attacks on the town are placing people on the edge, they want to know what's going on....including me."
Sofia adjusted her book-bag as she and Tyler exchanged a nervous glance. "Yeah...."
"I'm so surprised that they are still letting him go to school." Sofia said.
"Well if they can let Blake back for the thing that he did, I'm sure they can do the same for Jax." Tyler said.
"Tyler!!"
"What? I'm just saying."
Sofia felt the grudge Tyler held for Blake due to the fact of him not caring for Jax. Dianna looked at them both. "Ok....should we get to class before Mr. Crooksford gives us detention for being late."
"Detention...." Tyler slapped his forehead. "I forgot I have detention.... Anyways, you guys go ahead...I'm gonna wait for Blake."
"Blake!!" Dianna widened her eyes. "How do you know Blake?"
"We're kind of...sort of....are two people who know each other?"
"Are you trying to get his homework?" Sofia asked.
"We had homework?!!" Tyler slapped his forehead again. "But no...we need to talk about something." Tyler's face went grim.
Sofia understood why and immediately pulled Dianna away. "Wait, I need to ask him what he knows about him!!!" Dianna shouted as she grabbed ahold of the wall while Sofia tried to pull her behind it.
"No!!!" Sofia finally succeeded as Dianna disappeared behind the wall leaving Tyler waiting by the door and the first bell ringing.
______________
As usual, the classroom was up and mumbling with students from left to right talking about the possibility of Mr. Crookford not coming back due to his frightening encounter with the lightning bolt last Monday. People heard rumors of him being so terrified after he woke up that he was unable to leave his house for four days.
Sofia didn't believe the rumors. Mr. Crookford was her favorite teacher and she'd hope he would fight the fear and come back to school. She tried her best to rub off the trashy rumors by talking to Dianna, but she was to busy scrolling through Kylie Jenner's Instagram to even pay attention to Sofia so she looked out the window. The town was the, somewhat, same old town except for the cracks in the streets and the sidewalks with signs still being rebuilt and she could see a few people working on the tree fountain in Central Park.
Dianna suddenly nudged Sofia as she turned around and saw people staring at an old man writing his name on the board. He wore a black suit like he was going on a date, but a flashy silver tie and dress shoes and his hair was white and curly. He turned around for everyone to see the wrinkles on his face. He placed his bag down on the table and let out a deep breath.
"My name is Brock, you can call be Brock and only Brock. If any of you call me Mr. Brock like I'm an old man or pronounce my name wrong like Sock or Cock on purpose, I'm gonna punch you in the throat."
A boy in the back of the room raised his hand. "Sir, abusing students is against the rules." He said quickly.
Brock sighed. "Son, does it look like I give a damn about those rules?"
"No..." The boy muttered.
"Then why the hell are you bringing them up?"
Another student raised her hand. "Sir, you said we can't call Mr. Brock because you're not an old man?"
"Yes, that's correct..."
"But you are..."
"I am what people call, a man who is close to his prime spectrum."
Everyone started mumbling and looking to their partners for answers. "We don't know what that means.." the student said.
"Good!!!" Brock shifted to the front of the desk and placed one of his hands in his pocket. "And stop calling me sir...makes me feel old."
Sofia raised her hand as Dianna tried to pull it down, but Brock noticed it before she succeed. "Yes girl who looks like a tomboy."
Sofia sighed. "What happened to Mr.Crookford? I thought he was suppose to come back."
"Right, him...." Brock sat on the desk and placed his other hand on his lap. "Due to Mr. Crookford's terrifying encounter with the lightning bolt, he is unable to teach as of right now."
Everyone began to talk as some students high five and others sighed in relief, but most of them, including Sofia, was saddened over their favorite teacher possibly not coming back for the rest of the school year.
"If I say so myself, he's a wimp." Brock said.
Sofia narrowed her eyes. "Excuse me?"
"I mean, only ten percent of people die from a lightning stroke and seventy percent of people live with long term-affects. Even if he was struck by that bolt, he would've lived so he shouldn't be living in fear over that." Brock shrugged his shoulders.
"But both of those things sound bad." Sofia said as she stood up as Dianna tried to pull her down. "People suffer from stutter and other terrible symptoms."
"But he would've lived." Brock began to test Sofia. "Sometimes a person has to take a hit and deal with the consequences in order to protect people."
"Are you applying that Mr. Crookford isn't brave?"
"I'm not applying, I'm saying..."
Sofia grunted and sat back down as Brock grinned. He sighed and noticed Dianna sitting by Sofia as he widened his eyes. "I'll be damned. Dianna is that you?"
Dianna had her face covered with her hands, but that wasn't enough to stop people from recognizing her from a mile away. She uncovered her face. "Hey Brock." Dianna said with a fainted smile.
"It's nice to see you again."
"Brock, I saw you yesterday."
Brock shook his head. "Oh right, you'll have to excuse me....my memory is a bit fuzzy." He hit the side of his head. "But I'll never forget your fashion sense."
"Thanks." Dianna opened her notebook and tried to act like she was jotting down some notes even though Brock hadn't started class yet.
"Alright, shall I take attendance?" Brock shifted back to the board. "And if I pronounce your name wrong, deal with it." Brock reached into his bag and grabbed the attendance sheet.
Sofia nudged Dianna. "How do you know this old bag?"
"I volunteer at the Local Health Center."
Sofia raised an eyebrow. "You never told me that."
"I thought I did..."
Sofia shook her head. "No, you didn't."
"Don't take it personal, its just something that I don't need to brag about." Dianna started drawing what looked like a small bull in the top right corner of her notebook.
"I mean, it's cool that you're doing it and I expected you to do something that involved the community." Sofia said. "But you could've told, I've would've went with you."
"Really?"
"Yeah..." Sofia leaned back in her chair. "I like old people..."
"Sofia, the Local Health Center isn't about just taking care of old people."
"It's not?"
"No, you take care kids who are sick too. You're pretty much a volunteer nurse and I like it."
Sofia smiled. "As long as it makes you happy then I'm happy."
"ELIZ---A---BATH?"
The girl in the middle row raised her hand slowly. "It's Elizabeth sir."
"Stop calling me sir!!" Brock sighed. "Elizabeth, like what?"
"Huh?"
"Like what does it sound like?"
"Lady Macbeth but without the lady....and the mac..."
"Huh..." Brock raised his glasses. "I'm just gonna call you Bethany.."
"But--"
"How does that sound?"
Elizabeth sighed. "Fine, I guess..."
"Good.." Brock placed a check in the "Present" column. "Alright, KEV--AN?"
The boy in the first row raised his hand.
"Hey, Brock is reaching Tyler and Blake...where are they?"
Sofia shrugged her shoulders as she began to feel worried about the rough conversation that will abrupt between Tyler and Blake.
___________
Blake entered the school in a green vest and flexible cargo pants. He wore a shiny silver watch and pretty much looked like the boy who lived in the rich part of the town. He didn't even noticed Tyler standing in front of the billboard that was filled with flyers for different events and opportunities to get your grades up. Without paying much attention to the students, he felt their eyes on him, waiting for him to make another insane move.
"Blake!!" Blake turned to his right to see Tyler leaning against the billboard with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his book bag like he was the toughest and coolest kid in school. "We need to talk."
Blake sighed. "Not now, I'm already late for class and so are you."
"We have a substitute, I'm sure we can make up excuses." Tyler placed on his book bag and walked up to Blake. "Be real with me....did you know that Jax could be saved?"
Blake scoffed. "No...if I did know, I would've told you guys."
Tyler's scowled look made Blake's right eye twitch. "You're lying."
"No, i'm not...seriously. If I would've known---"
"You would've killed him."
"No I wouldn't!!" Students glanced at Blake. "We had to destroy him in order to purify him so even if did go for the kill, he would still be alive."
"But you didn't know that that would happen."
"Alright, what's going?" Blake asked. "Why do you care so much for Jax? You making it seem like he's your boyfriend."
Tyler face lit up as he grabbed Blake by his shirt and pushed against the wall. Blake instantly grabbed Tyler hands. "You don't want to do this Tyler." Blake warned.
"Or what, you're gonna do? Go psycho again?"
"Let...go..."
"Me and Jax might hate each other, but in the past...we looked out for each other when we went through bad times."
"I don't care!!" Blake pulled Tyler's hands off of him with no problems. He then switched places with Tyler as he pushed him against the wall. The students, who stared from a distance, and even Tyler were surprised by his strength. Blake was a little bit small compared to Tyler, but he was surprisingly stronger.
"What the--"
"I told you to let go."
"Boys!!" Tyler and Blake turned and saw a tan woman staring at them with a warning look. The two glanced and shoved each other away as they grabbed their bags. The woman walked up to the two boys with papers underneath her arms and held a box of literature books as she turned to Blake. "Blake, you should know better than to erupt a fight again...after the last event you've caused."
Blake looked at the ground. "I do Ms. Baker."
"I can't tell. You're a senior, you should be setting an example for the underclassmen."
"Yes ma'am...."
Ms. Baker turned to Tyler next. "And you....with how much trouble you got into in the past few years, I'm not even surprised, but...don't you have detention."
"Yes ma'am, but I decided to do it after school....so it wouldn't overlap with my classes."
"Mhm..." Ms. Baker examined Tyler to make sure he was not lying. "Alright, I better not see any of you fighting again or you'll get suspended."
"No need to worry Ms. Baker, we were to just disagreeing on things. Isn't that right, Blake?"
Tyler and Ms. Baker stared at him, waiting for an answer. "Yeah..." He muttered.
"Get to class before it ends."
Blake gave Tyler a grim look as he muttered something under his breath.
"What was that Mr. Edison?"
Blake sighed. "Nothing..."
"Now off you go."
"Yes ma'am...." Tyler and Blake walked past her.
"Were not done, Blake." Tyler whispered as they raced down the hall shoving each other like they were twelve. They turned left as Ms. Baker sighed and continued to the main office.
______________
By the time the first period was in halftime, the board was filled with different equations and formulas including kinetic energy, efficiency, and polyatomic ions. Every desk in the classroom had papers scattered across the surface.
"Like I was saying before I was interrupted by our amazingly grace student, Bath---" Brock pointed to Elizabeth.
"Elizabeth...." She muttered.
"Whatever!!" Brock pointed to an equation. "If you start with conditions of temperature and volume and change the conditions of the temperature and volume---"
"It's Charle's Law." Sofia answered. "This is basic science, were in Junior's biology so we're suppose to be learning something new."
"Is this right, Dianna?"
Dianna gulped. "Yelp..."
Brock glanced at the board and sighed. "Than what am I doing here?"
"Funny, I've been asking the same question." Sofia said as everyone chuckled.
"Sorry we're late!!" Tyler and Blake appeared at the doorway with their book bags slouched and Blake's glasses crooked.
"Ah!!!" Brock extended his arms. "Theodore Logan and Wayne Szalinski, nice for both of you to join us."
"Um who?"
"Just get in the dang classroom you two!!"
Tyler and Blake glanced at each other as they tried their best to get into the classroom at the same time. Tyler placed his hand in Blake's face while Blake grabbed ahold of the opposite side of the doorway trying to keep Tyler from getting in.
Sofia sighed. "Oh brother..."
Blake let go of the doorway as Tyler fell into the classroom. Blake chuckled, grabbed his book bag, and walked to his table.
Brock grinned. "Oh man, who cheated on who?" He asked as everyone giggled.
Tyler got up from the floor and grabbed his book bag. "No one cheated on no one."
Brock shrugged his shoulders. "Seems like it. Looks like you two fighting like a couple of bull dogs trying to get their last meal."
Tyler narrowed his eyes. "Who are you? Where's Mr. Crookford?"
"Oh you mean the coward?"
Sofia slammed her hands on the table. "He is not a coward!!" She shouted.
"Oh would you be quiet girl who looks like she could be in Point Blank."
"I don't even know what that is!!!"
"Do yourself a favor and watch movies." Brock sighed. "Anyways, he was too scared to come back to school and now I'm taking his place. Do you have a problem with that?"
Tyler pursed his lips as he looked at the class who stared at him with concerned and grim looks. "No..."
"Good now go sit over their raspberry." Brock pointed to the empty seat by Blake.
"Raspberry?" Tyler looked down and noticed how much red he was wearing. He walked to his seat as Blake scooted to the edge of the table.
"Now, as I was saying—" The bell rung as everyone got up immediately and shifted to the door. "Good...leave!!" Brock shouted.
Sofia grabbed her bag as she walked past Brock's desk. "You suck." She said.
"And you eat!!"
"What?!" Sofia shook her head and left the classroom as Brock grinned while he noticing something blue was glowing in her bag.
"So, it's true..." He muttered as he began to place folders and papers in his bag.
_____________
Toxin blended into the afternoon. Trees surrounded him and all animals of all types stared at him. A deer glared at him with its googly eyes as he was crouched down behind a large rock. "You hideous creature, DIE!!" Toxin opened his mouth as toxic gas came out like morning mist. Before the deer had a chance to run away, the toxic surrounded the animal and connected to the skin like a magnet.
It began to burn the skin of the animal as it yelled in pain. The toxic reached the flesh as the animal dropped dead into the dirt. "Good riddance..." Toxin took a peek as he saw Tyler, Blake, and Sofia running through the forest looking for something.
Toxin looked up at the trees as he nodded his head at the camouflaged Krakens who were sitting in the trees waiting for his command.
"This doesn't make sense." Sofia said as she held her scroll up. "The scroll led us here, but there are no signs of any Krakens or void monsters."
"Maybe it's leading us to another scroll." Tyler suggested.
Blake rolled his eyes. "It wouldn't be this easy dumbass."
"You wanna say that to my face?"
Blake walked towards Tyler as Sofia came between them. "Knock it off!!!" She shouted. "We don't have time to fight, we have to figure out why the scrolls led us to this spot."
Toxin whistled as the Krakens came down from the trees and landed on the ground, surrounding the three rangers who immediately got into their fighting stances. "Now, we know why they led us here."
The rangers heard laughter coming from the rock. "Who's there?!" Sofia asked.
Toxin came from behind the tree with the sun shinning on his rusty armor. He exhaled toxic gas in excitement and tighten his fists. "So you three are the Power Rangers."
"Yeah and you are?"
Toxin placed his fist on his chest. "Toxin, Vixx's right hand and his skillful warrior!!"
"If you're so skillful, why do you have a bunch of Krakens surrounding us?" Blake asked.
"Before you can face me, you have to prove that you are able to hold your own."
Tyler puffed. "You're talking like you're all that, but you just look like an old seahorse." He said. "Why don't you fight me yourself?"
"Tyler!!"
Tyler noticed the dead deer on the ground next to Toxin. It's flesh being picked by flies and it's eyes staring at him. Tyler puffed and threw his book bag at Toxin and ran towards him. The Krakens growled at the bag hitting Toxin as they closed in on Sofia and Blake. Tyler threw a punch which was slower than his previous ones. He still felt tired after the long day of training from yesterday as Toxin stopped his punch with the palm of his hand and grabbed Tyler's fist.
Toxin began to twist Tyler's arm with his fist as he kicked him in the chest. "Pathetic!!!" Toxin grabbed him by the neck and threw him across the grass.
Sofia lifted her leg and slammed it down on a kraken's head as the Krakens moved in on them with a signal from Toxin. Blake grabbed a kraken and lifted him up into the air and slammed him down. With a strong kick to the side, the down Kraken flew into another knocking that one down.
"Blake, can you take care of these guys?" Sofia asked as she dodged an attack.
"Yeah!!"
"Alright, I'm gonna go help Tyler." Sofia rolled underneath a Kraken and proceeded towards Toxin and Tyler. Blake was about to blurt something, but decided not to as he head-butted a kraken.
Toxin walked over to Tyler who tried his best to get up. "I admire you for your bravery." Toxin grabbed the back of Tyler's neck and picked him up. "But you're so impulsive that I could've killed you."
"Then why didn't you."
Toxin chuckled. "It wouldn't be fun if my opponent dies at the very start of the battle."
"Ahh!!!" Sofia did a drop kick as Toxin let go of Tyler and hit a tree. Sofia helped Tyler up as they backed away.
Tyler touched his shoulder. "Thanks Sofia."
"Yeah Yeah, stop being reckless....we need to play this smart." Sofia said.
Toxin touched the tree as he left behind a hand print burned into the tree. "You'll pay for that little girl!!"
Sofia took out her scroll. "Call me a little girl again!!"
Toxin chuckled as he snapped his fingers. A large buzzing sound filled the forest as a figure jumped down on Sofia from the trees. A human sized green fly grabbed Tyler by the chest and lifted him up as they hovered in the air.
"It's morphing time!!" Sofia shouted. "Unleash the element!!"
"Oh no you don't!!" Toxin grabbed dirt from the ground rub his hands together. He blew the now green dirt onto Sofia who glowed brightly signaling her morphing sequence. The blue glow turned into a dark green as it went away and Sofia dropped to the ground lifelessly.
"Sofia!!" Blake stomped the ground as the dirt collapsed under the Krakens and they fell into a dark abyss.
Toxin walked over to Sofia and chuckled. "Get away from here!!" Tyler shouted from the sky. He reached for his scroll in his pocket and struggled with the fly monster holding him by his throat.
"I'll be taking this." Toxin crouched down and grabbed the water elemental scroll.
Tyler finally gripped the tip of his scroll as it glowed red and the fly's hands ignited in flames and let go of Tyler. Tyler was falling while Blake took out his scroll and his ring turned into the gold gauntlet. Tyler twisted his ring and it turned into the gold gauntlet as well.
"Unleash the element!!" Tyler and Blake yelled as they morphed. Blake bald his fist as the green glow went away. Tyler landing beside Blake which stopped the red glow as they stood beside each other.
"This shall be fun—" Toxin felt his lower body getting heavy as he looked down and saw his legs slowly transforming into stone. "STINGER!!!" He yelled.
"Yes, Toxin!!!" Stinger summoned two medium sized weapons. He tightened the grip on his weapons and swooped down over Tyler and Blake. Tyler grasped his scroll as he shot fire blasts at the fly.
Blake flipped open his scroll. "Earth technique...Rock Bracers!!!" Rocks began to form around his forearms as he ran towards Toxin. He reached Toxin and thrusted his fist forward as Toxin grabbed his sword and block the attack.
"Not today Green Ranger!!" Toxin pushed Blake back with his sword. He could barely move with the hard substance reaching his thighs. "I don't have time Stinger, do it now!!" He commanded.
Stinger lined up with Tyler as he flipped open his scroll. "Fire technique!!" Stinger began to fly towards him with one of his weapons pointed at him. Without Tyler even realizing it, the weapon was pierced in his chest. Tyler demorphed and stumbled as he tried his best to breath, but the weapon stopped him from getting air into his lungs. Why wasn't he dead? What was the weapon doing to him? He felt something cold come out of the weapon and make its way through his chest.
"Ahhh!!!" The inside of his chest now felt like a blizzard.
"Tyler?!" Blake turned his attention away from Toxin as Stinger swooped down on his next prey and stabbed Blake in the back. Blake demorphed and stumbled down feeling the same pain as Tyler. The three rangers laid on the ground in a dramatic triangular manner.
"Master Toxin, we should kill them now while we have a chance."
"No!!" Toxin began to pant as half of his body was now stone. "We do not kill unless we have to now take these scrolls and let's go before I turn into a statue!!"
"Yes Master!!!" Stinger quickly grabbed the fire and earth elemental scrolls and placed them in his pouch. He walked over to Toxin and grabbed him as he spread his wings and leaped into the sky. With the wind moving him, Stinger and Toxin flew away leaving the rangers defeated on the ground.
