Jayko
I looked and saw a damaged soul mimic. I felt terrified, and sad. I couldn't even speak, but yet, I still pulled my axe. I nearly sobbed in despair, as I saw that it was more humanoid, with an alligator face. Souls whirled around, then coincided at the monster's core. RhobeWhis looked sad, but prepared a fireball.
As the souls coincided, it dashed towards me, with blood stained teeth, the size of rats. It charged and caught me with its jaw, the mouth bit me and I felt the pain throb. I felt the heat of a fireball, and then I was released. It charged toward RhobeWhis and then it tried to use a life stealing move called soul siphon as I ignored the pain in my back.
I could tell that it had sucked the soul of the hunter, because it looked like the dragon hunter. I dashed in a pure, unrestrained anger, and slammed the axe so hard, the soul siphon stopped, but left RhobeWhis unconscious from the strain of his soul resisting. I had to kill this thing alone. It released the souls it had just absorbed, and I saw that as an opportunity.
I slashed him in the mouth, hoping to weaken the jaw, but the jaw was so strong it would take at least 3 hits. The souls fused, as I dashed backwards, angrily. I decided to prepare another attack from that old book. I read it for a long time. I saw it go in to bite me, and I dodged to the left.
I hit it in the jaw, powerfully, "Icy Slash!"
I saw the jaw was frozen. giving me the time to attack once more. The jaw couldn't open, taking away his bite and soul siphon! I ran in as the souls separated from the creature, and flew into me. I took damage but I continued running as I was hit rapidly. I reached the jaw and slammed my battle axe into the jaw with most of my remaining strength.
Its jaw broke and shattered completely. But, that didn't kill it. It kept launching souls over and over. I slashed the monster, and it immediately knocked the axe out of my hand.
The soul Mimic used its souls to swing itself around the room and confuse me, then landed near RhobeWhis.
I saw the creature lunged toward RhobeWhis. I knew I couldn't allow that. I felt strength surge through my arm. The arm swelled large, energy making it far bigger. I slammed the soul mimic with my fist so hard it had fainted completely, so it had died. I saw I created a crater in the wood floors. The mansion was dark, without the souls, and I waited for RhobeWhis to wake up.

RhobeWhis
I opened my eyes and felt exhausted. I was moving, but that must have been because of Jayko. I looked back and saw Jayko was carrying me. He had brought me back to the Festival town and I stood up.
He said to me, "You're awake! Happy to hear it!"
I said, "What happened, why did I pass out?"
He replied, "The strain of your soul resisting the soul siphon left you unconscious."
I replied, "Really? Are you sure? It was enough to knock me out for 5 miles? And, how did you beat it?"
Jayko smiled and said, "I broke its jaw, then finished it off with a slash, but even that wasn't enough to kill that demon. It had actually pulled out three new moves while you were out. One I didn't see, but it was a jaw based move that could work while the actual jaw was broken. The other one was soul shot. It shot the souls that it had to deal damage. The third one was using souls as extensions of its body to attack."
I replied, "How did you beat it then?"
He exclaimed, "Well, I slammed my fist into him because the soul mimic knocked my battle axe out of my hand. I slammed it so hard, that I crushed the creature."
We walked into town, Jayko bloody, and I was dirty and tired. We walked to the adventurer's shop, which was in every town and village, and I realized something. Every town or village has a blacksmith, enchant-smith, and general shops, including an adventure shop.
Jayko told the shop-keep, "How much for a soul mimic rib?"
I gaped at the prospect. I didn't expect him to have grabbed a soul mimic rib. I saw him place down one.
The shopkeep replied, "How did you get this?"
He replied, "I beat a soul mimic."
The merchant replied, "What? Those are rare, and hard to beat, if they sneak up to you, you're as good as dead."
I replied, "It had a famous dragon hunter in it, it must have snuck up to it."
The shopkeep said, "Really? Then 500g each."
"I'll just sell the one please."
He gave me the money, then walked to help a customer. We walked out and continued traveling, until we reached the town we would be in for the months, no, years in the future, the main town. This is the end of the beginning.
