Jayko
As we traveled, I, at our breaks, were writing about the enemies we fought, and were looking at them and traveling for long distances, over 10 miles an hour for 6 hours. We had traveled a quarter across the continent without any signs of civilization except ever once in a while when we saw some traveling traders showing their abundance of materials and steels. We only bought 5 oranges on our adventures.
Before I continue, there was a strong creature out along a ridge, a very powerful one. It was a frogdon. These are incarnations of earth. An angry spirit lives inside, trapped until the frogdon's death. We had to fight it. I won't say much, except we beat it, we struggled to break the rock, and we took a couple hits.
So then, we went on, until, about shunin the 22nd, (May) and we saw, on our journeys that there was a celebration at a petite town at the edge of a hill. The odd thing, though, was that the time was midnight. A small child walked up to me, almost at a waddle.
"Welcome to the Midnight Full Moon Festival! You c-can trade f-for items and b-buy some f-fun items that y-you can b-buy nowhere else!"
I told RhobeWhis, "Let's sell our potion materials. We don't need them."
He contorted, "We could use the gold, it costs 100-1000 for a spell."
I said, "Let's look for a place selling dragon scales!"
I heard a voice call, loudly, "You're looking for a place to sell dragon scales? I'm just the place!"
We walked forward and looked at his large expanse of scales. He had ice, fire, and even psychic dragon scales.
He shouted excitedly, "I've got the rarest scales on the continent! Everything from psychic dragon scales, to the acid hydra scales. I bought them for over 100g a piece!"
I had a feeling that this was a lucky find. He was selling single scales for 150g each. "I think we should sell here," said RhobeWhis, as his jaw dropped at the price of the scales. I knew what he was thinking. The more he sells them for, the more he buys for them.
I said to the shopkeep, selling the scales, "How much for a scale?"
He replied, "145g."
I looked at the price of his dragon scales, being 150g.
"148g, take it or leave it, don't you try to pry our money."
He replied, "Fine, 148g a piece. How many?"
I replied, "We have 5 ice dragon scales."
He said, "740g in total, eh? You got it."
I handed him the scales as he handed me the gold. I smiled and said, "Thanks for doing business!"
Next was an inn. There, we would rest, then feast.
RhobeWhis
As we went to the inn, it seemed oddly quiet, but we still went to bed. It was bright and magic runes floated up in a magical fray. I felt my body want to lay down, as it made me feel even more energized than in the 6 weeks we had traveled across the massive continent. It probably was because I slept on rock for 6 weeks every day, but I felt great!
The next day, I went out, and saw a purple mist, it seemed the town was usually covered in this, because no one freaked out wildly, I looked at it and noticed it was similar to clouds. It smelled like strawberries, and we went to a restaurant south of the marketplace.
We went and walked into the restaurant, as we talked.
When we sat down, they served a mysterious food. They explained that it was a slab of meat, wrapped in crushed wheat, bread and a chicken egg, then cooked. It sounded awful but tasted amazing. I gaped at the flavor. The waitress laughed as we scarfed the stuff down with no break in between bites..
I heard someone mutter to a friend,, "I heard about a mansion west of here. I heard that potentially powerful soul based creatures prey on people who go there. There's probably a group of dragon hunters going down, hoping for a juvenile soul dragon or something. I'd bet it's a soul skeleton, they love places like that. But... I doubt there is anything at all."
I told Jayko, "Did you hear that, there may a soul creature over at a mansion west of here!"
He replied angrily, "There's no way one is there. A famous, retired dragon hunter lives at that mansion. He probably killed the thing in 10 seconds flat."
I replied, confused, "How do you know that?"
He replied, "I know history, he was famous. He had 1000's of fans across the continent."
I said, "Let's investigate anyway. Just in case."
We went out of the petite town and went west, the way we went across the continent to begin with. We went and saw the mansion, and there seemed to be no damage.
Jayko said, "See? It got killed in seconds."
We entered, and saw blood, Human blood. Jayko looked at me terrified, and walked forward. He checked some drawers, nothing. He went upstairs, as a roar echoed through the room.
"That's the dragon hunter's battle roar. See?"
His voice wavered intensely.
Then, something turned on the corner. It wasn't the hunter, at least, completely.
