The repeated beeps of an alarm roused a small freshman from her unrestful sleep. She rolled around her bed feeling for her phone guided by the sound of the noise. Her hand landed on the corner of a sketchbook and the new student opened her eyes to start her first official day of college.
Floy sat up and looked at the portrait she drew the night before. Her sullen eyes lit up with some of their usual spark and she even managed a small smile. With a deep breath, she rolled off her mattress and began her morning routine.
Fifteen minutes later, she stepped out into the hallway and turned to lock her door. A splotch of black ink caught her eye and she looked at her whiteboard. Her shoulders fell and she reached out with her hand to try and wipe away the letters but they were written with permanent marker.
She lifted the whiteboard and saw that the same word was still written on her door. The small girl confirmed that she didn’t misremember and it was indeed a second act of vandalism. She set the whiteboard back onto her door and tilted her head to look at it from a different angle.
The young artist reached into her bag and pulled out a few colored markers of her own. She spent a few minutes scribbling on her board before stepping back to examine her work. With a satisfied nod, the freshman began the trek to her first class of the year.125Please respect copyright.PENANAV9lJKzt6tX
