The next morning,sitting up in their bed is Remi, who is back to his real form as a guy, he gets up and looks in the mirror,*what a wonderful sight* ,he thinks to himself,his wavy almost silver hair, bright amber eyes and tanned olive skin reflected the morning sun in a way that captivated him himself. Maybe he was narcissistic but if anyone told him that he would take it as a compliment. He gets ready putting on his regular clothes of a shirt and sweatpants as he has not gotten his new uniform yet, he wasn't crazy tall but not short either, he would say this is the perfect way a guy can look ,just under the infamous 6 foot, he takes his backpack ,admires himself in the mirror once more and heads out the flat, again running into the neighbor this morning, who was also exiting his flat, a young guy around the same age as Remi actually , they both nod at each other in greeting and Remi decides to let the guy go ahead of him walking behind slowly, the neighbor goes on to the bus stop to board the bus as they come out the apartment complex, neither acknowledging each other any further, while Remi stops a cab, doing even that in a "cool" way, at least he believes everything he does is cool.

" Oh dear.......that could have been bad", he thinks to himself, as he shakes it off and sits upright, somehow not noticing that himself has abruptly forcefully switched into "herself". The cab ride ends and the driver is confused when his passenger who gets down and pays him is a lady and not the young man he picked up, perhaps he had too much to drink last night? He shook his head and blinked many times and shrugged and drove off, Remi wondering why the driver was staring at "him" like that.

Remi stands in front of the school thinking to himself, it was indeed a big school but he wonders how he got in, when speaking with Chara she had said that while the school was mostly affordable for middle class families not just anyone could get in and it was still a school that had kids of elites or very wealthy people, every student in the school had to pass a certain exam to get in so it meant everyone in the school was quite smart, at least academically, Remi had never considered himself academically inclined, when he asked his parents how he got in after talking to Chara, they only said not to worry, his mom claiming the owner owed her a favor..

Remi stared at the huge gate and royally white fence and pillars ,other students hurried into the school grounds, Remi walked slowly into the building still lost in thought, about how Chara was able to get in this school just by her pure hard work, he always felt sorry for her when they were kids , he hated that she had to grow up poor and would always try to help monetarily back then, but the girl had a strong sense of independence and would decline, his family wasn't the wealthiest back then ,but Remi always had a mentality that money could solve everything, now his family had actually acquired a fair amount of wealth after his mom made leaps in the medical field and his dad was doing okay in real estate , he was living comfortably but knew Chara's uncle was still struggling , Chara won't accept his help though even now ,so he'd always go to her shop and buy a lot of stuff and give her tips ,that was one way to do it.. as for himself though he wonders how he will cut it in this school, he was definitely going to be at the bottom of the class , but he didn't have to worry too much about grades, he knows very well academics is not his path to make it in life, he was already a rising star in the e sports community with a few hundred thousand followers on social media, he had even occasionally run into some people who knew him, he was a sort of celebrity and enjoyed the attention he'd get at events from fans. Although still a trainee, he knew he was definitely getting the contract to join the official e sports team this year, he had been the rookie of the year the previous year and helped his team get to the finals, the manager was fully invested in him, his life was set, but maybe his new "condition" could change things? He sure hopes not...

Finally, she arrived at the principal's office, the principal Mr. Ryan was a short rather stocky man, he had no sense of fashion and an old school demeanor, but he had a charm and a way of talking that all the students respected him to some degree and no one could really hate him. As the door to his office opened and he noticed the grey-haired teenager, he immediately got up and hobbled over ..." Ah...you must be Remi ..." he said as he walked over adjusting his square dark framed glasses ..." Have a seat...your mom told me about you. Don't worry at all, we will take the best care of you at this school.
"Thanks "Remi said and sat down. "So, I've already handled your registration...don't worry about any exams I own the damn school." He said in a rich baritone voice as he giggled a bit and adjusted his glasses once again .."let's see here you look a little bit different than described..." the principal said as he observed the young "man" , to him the boy looked rather soft and frail for a man *could it be the condition took a toll on his development, poor boy*... he thought to himself.
"Alright let's get you to class ...introduce you to the mates and get you settled in" the man stood up knocking over his box of pens on the desk." Ah clumsy...come on boy". Remi observed the man and got up and followed his lead, the man was interesting, HE thought he had a charm for sure or maybe he was just a great talker...

The two arrive at the classroom and the principal walks into the students muttering "Good morning Mr. Ryan" or some not even noticing his presence.
Mr. Ryan loudly clears his throat and announces "Good morning, everyone. This is your new classmate who will be joining us today, a social media famous e sports star and protege...some of you may know him. Tell them your name kiddo."
The class buzzing and murmuring as some of them seem to be knowledgeable of e-sports, and are excited of the prospect of a somewhat famous person in their class.

"My name is Remi Tarence , I hope we get along" an almost squeaky voice comes out of the small framed body standing in front of the class ,leaving everyone so quiet for a second you could hear a pin drop., the sweatpants clearly a size too big and mop like hair that covered the eye, the only similarity this has to Remi was the signature grey hair from his mother's side of the family and the same shade tanned skin tone, but anyone who had seen him a couple times would know that was not him and they did.
The fangirls in the class who actually knew Remi Tarence quickly called wolf....
"That's not Remi. I'm pretty sure Remi is a dude, principal Ryan, maybe you need new glasses" a girl named Hote immediately remarked, the rest of the class laughed a bit at the joke but never at Mr. Ryan.
The principal does a double take and immediately has to think on the spot " Oh my mistake kids ,sorry I meant to say this is Rei , Remi's cousin who will be filling in for him sometimes as he won't always be able to be here since he has duties outside school, don't worry this is a special program we are trying as we have never had such a student before and he can be a good ambassador for the school", he paused a bit to see if the class was buying it ..and continued "Rei here has been home schooled and this is a good opportunity for her to experience actual school so this is our very first substitute student program, she will fill in for her cousin on days he can't make it and we can also observe how she integrates into school" he pauses again, raising a brow to see if the story worked..

"Ah that makes sense .." and other murmurs of agreement can be heard from the class as the students think it's nothing unusual in a school like theirs with different programs, though some are bummed and would have liked to see the real Remi instead, not some faceless girl ."So when will the real Remi join us ?" One of the students asks.
"Soon". principal Ryan responds, "but until then be nice to Rei here."
"Why did you introduce yourself as Remi ,Rei? "another student asks, as the class begins to murmur, ''rei" just standing there quietly, perhaps still in shock that she was a girl right now, she swore she didn't fall asleep in the taxicab, what is happening?
"Ah silly kids, she probably played along after I got her name wrong, right Rei...?" Ryan covers up quickly . "Hehehe yes yes" Rei responds with a little nervous laugh.
"Alright no more questions " principal Ryan announced as he gestures his hands to wave no in a rather animated manner "Rei come with me , let's complete your registration and get you a uniform, the rest of you wait for your teacher" principal Ryan leaves the class walking rather briskly with Rei following closely behind , the students go back to murmuring and gossiping , some still excited that remi will be part of their class, even the ones who had no idea who he was until now where excited when they heard he was sort of famous online.chara on the other hand simply facepalmed finding it hilarious that remi basically blew the cover on the first day, principal Ryan must be in on the whole thing and a rather quick liar ,she thought to herself and went back to reading her book.

As the principal and remi exit the class and are in the halls ,he looks around rather cartoonishly raising his brows and looking side to side he then turns and asks Rei in a low voice almost whispering "why did you show up as a girl ? Your mom said that won't be an issue"
"I don't know either, I was normal in the cab on the way I didn't even realize I had changed till we got to the class" Rei responded sounding almost like a sulking child who had been busted stealing candy.
"Well don't worry I already prepared for incase of an incident like this,I will register you as well, just be ready to act as your cousin if you are to show up as a girl again, I'll tell your mother about the change of plans" Mr Ryan says switching back to a bit more serious tone now and he takes out a pen and paper ,writes something on it and hands it to Rei "go here and get the uniform and report back to class...and boy..." he puts his hand on the girl's shoulder "...if there's ever a problem or you need anything at all in this school just let me know and I'll take care of it" he gives Rei a pat on the back and walks to his office taking off and cleaning his glasses . Rei just stands there, Mr Ryan definitely had an interesting personality she thought to herself.

As the class loitered around waiting for the first class, Rei walks back into the class heads turned as she was now in a skirt and top though her wavy fringe still covered her eyes leaving a slight mysterious presence to her, but the boys in the class were immediately interested in the "new girl" they made a loud long stretching "ooooo" sound and mutters and whispers buzzed around the class, Rei (remi) who loves attention absolutely loved the reaction,the homeroom teacher who was now in the class,reintroduces her and asks the class to be nice.
"Alright go sit in one of the empty seats over there " the teacher mumbled and pointed lazily, the woman already looked tired even though the school day just started.
"No thanks" Rei responds In a haughty manner ,she sharply walks to the seat next to chara , there's a guy seated there ."oi you,move"rei says as she stares at him with a blank face, he gets up and moves immediately as her aura is commanding and unwavering, and it would seem the class has a crush on her as no one even calls her out for it, the teacher who is over it and couldn't care less just sighs and starts the class. Chara looking at Rei and shaking her head and finding it funny how outrageous of a character her friend is.
Seated in the back seat central of the class is arloh, he had been watching everything unfold and was rather uninterested in this new student,he had been asleep earlier in the day when she was introduced by the principal and only woke up after she left with the other boys in the class telling him they had a new student.

As soon as the class is over the classmates clamour around Reis table asking her all sorts of questions ,"remi" more than happy to play along, bathes in the attention, "are you really remis cousin? When is he coming? Can we see your eyes? Are you single?" Questions fly in left and right,
"Calm down everyone I will answer your questions, " rei says as she stands up briskly making everyone move back slightly almost making the horde trip over themselves,Rei then sits on the desk and crosses her legs "but see.... I don't like talking much so if you want to ask anything about me or my amazing cousin you'll need to submit a token" and yawns doing her best impression of a high class lady, chara giggles in the corner ."now shoo shoo, If you want my time you know what to do" rei says and yawns slightly .the students rush out the class , who knows where they're going,some who stayed behind immediately start handing her stuff like snacks and money to talk to them . "Oh how sweet you guys okay I'll answer your questions"Rei says as she basks in the attention but is soon interrupted as arloh walks through the crowd coldly asking them to get out of his way as he snarks when he passes by Rei, "what's his problem" Rei remarks but immediately forgets as she goes back to attending to her subjects.
Some minutes pass and we see chara having to literally pry Rei away from her adoring fans and take her out the class to a corner.
"I'll be back my lovelies..." Rei exaggerates and does a princess wave as she's dragged out of the class by chara .

"Hmm she's interesting right?" One of the guys in the class says to the other next to him with a notorious smirk on his face , the other nods in agreement.
"Remi we need to talk" chara says as they arrive at the school corridor outside the class, it wasn't as busy this time with only a few students outside and in the hall ways, "what is it ,some guy was trying to ask me out" Rei says as she laughs at it pompously.
"remi you might be entertaining too much of their questions, don't forget you have a secret to hide?" chara says , giving her friend 'the look'. .... "Ahh it's fine it's fine you worry too much , I'll be back to myself tommorow so I might as well indulge today ,I won't say anything I don't need to ,I'm just having some fun" Rei insists talking in a highpitch and making light of charas concerns.
"But what if you don't change back tommorow, you were supposed to show up as a guy today right,what happened with that ?" Chara questions and pulls Reis ear. "Ow!, why!?, I don't know I think I might have fallen asleep a bit on the cab here, that's why" Rei retorts denouncing any claims of an error , chara raises an eyebrow at Rei "but are you sur-" "by the way 'cha-cha chara' who was that annoying guy that walked through my loyal subjects in class back then, and looked at me like I owed him money, I never borrow money hmmm" Rei interrupts chara changin the subject into her own vain concern.

Chara sighs but understands Rei is just trying to change the subject and not admit she made good points "that's arloh , well since you brought him up ,I should use this to tell you all you need to know about our class and maybe this school" chara suggests as she brings out two candy sticks from the fanny pack she wears around her waist "here have one" she observes both candies with her eyes for a second before handing over the one that looks smaller to her to chara,who graciously accepts even doing a silly little bow .
"Okay so this school actually isn't as peaceful as it seems today, the problematic ones aren't back yet" chara briefs, Rei asks what she means as she reaches into the bag of chips chara holds- yet again another snack appearing out of the fanny pack amid their conversation- Rei grabs a handful while paying attention.
Chara takes a chip from Rei's hand as she continues her briefing ,her free hand being very animated as she's obviously keen on giving her friend the gossip "ok so we have alroh renoh ,the guy you were asking about, he is actually pretty relaxed and has no issues ,but he is a snob so most people are scared of him," Rei nods and listens ,"so I should avoid that one" Rei remarks then eats a chip and throws the candy in her mouth at the same time.
"it's going to be more of him ignoring you" chara corrects as she takes and eats a chip from the bag. "ah that's not fair ,why will he avoid me ,I'm delightful" as she reaches and takes more chips from charas bag.
Chara continues as she shakes the bag of chips to ensure its not empty ,she still has some left and she nods to herself in contempt "okay so there is also his cousin Reuben, stay away from Reuben, he is a dangerous loose canon who's family can ruin anyone's lives if they mess with him,..." She paused to chew on the chips in her mouth " but the problem is he is actively a leader of one of the gangs at our school, whenever he is around they feel very confident and start going out of their way to oppress us,it's quite annoying"
"Waoww" rei mumbles inaudibly in surprise as she stuffs her mouth full with chips,"so the wich kids wun we shchool" Rei says as her mouth is stuffed with the snacks.
"Yes, your family may be well off but they are nothing in comparison to some of these guys so make sure to avoid them" , chara warns as she notices her bag is empty and flips it over trying to shake out any chips, looking at Rei surprised and sighs and throws away the empty bag.
"Ah and then theres bel.." chara adds " she's not really an issue but can be a nuisance if she wants to, she's basically the princess of our class and school also from a very influential family ,so be mindful around her too, she'll probably be back in school later, she usually resumes early and Reuben is the one who tends to extend his holiday so we won't see him for some time. So yeah, just keep a fairly low profile don't interfere in others business and you'll be fine ." Chara stretches as if tired of the briefing she had just given .
"Yesh buos" Rei says with a mouth stuffed with chips and does a salute .
"You glutton, you ate everything while I was talking, spit it out" chara realising the culprit was flaunting her crime in front of her , she smakcs Rei on the head , and Rei with mouth full of chips runs off screaming no, and chara chases after her , the two running back into the classroom. Arloh who was walking down the hall sees chara chasing Rei playfully and wonders how chara is close to the new girl as he stares quietly for a bit and heads to the classroom as well to prepare for the next class.

The school day ended and all the students came pouring out into the halls...some tripping over each other from sheer excitement to leave school and go home ,you'd think it was the last day of the school term and not the first...

"So you're sure you'll be back to normal tomorrow right?" chara quizzed her friend as they walked out the classroom and outdoors onto the assembly grounds which the school hardly ever used ,it was mostly a garden and walk paths now, which surrounded the main building and made a beautiful view to see from the entrances and exits of the school .

"Yeah it should be all good tommorow,today was just a slight mistake on my part I won't sleep off tomorrow" rei responded in the usual confident way she spoke to chara. Chara while reaching over and using her palm to brush Reis hair ,Warned in an almost motherly tone " I won't walk home with you today or take a bus together because I have to go and pick up some things for my uncle, but make sure you get home safe okay? I'll see you tomorrow".

"Hmm alright I'll see you tomorrow, "Rei answered looking upwards and furrowing her brows at the hand patting her head "do you want a puppy ey ?" Rei snarked playfully at chara who was getting intense with the head pats, "alright alright I'm leaving,get home safe okay" chara said as she stopped patting and rushed off leaving Rei behind by herself. Rei waved off her rushing friend and turned around and sighed as she started walking to the bus stop,"I would like to visit mom today and tell her how today went, but I'm too tired to go to my parents place, she will call anyways,I should go home and just enjoy myself and sleep today...hmm what should I make for lunch.." Rei is busy contemplating as she approaches the bus stop she doesn't notice the rogue bike driver who was going full speed and driving on the sidewalk , people moving out of the way and shouting curses at the rider .."hey kid move!! " An elderly man shouts and Rei returns to earth but noticing the speeding bike coming at her she couldn't move out of the way in time and froze ..staring at the bike rider who had no intention of changing his direction. 'ahh am I really going to die in a skirt? And hungry ? On a sidewalk? I expected something more grandiose for my death..ah what a shame, chara and my parents will be so shocked and sad,I hope they never find out about my death so they stay happy' Rei was having her final thoughts accepting that this was the end...a hand reaches and pulls back the girl who was in stride into the path of the crazy biker. Rei's final thoughts were abruptly interrupted by being pulled so quick as she spun around flopping into the Arms of none other than the "hater dude"from the back seat of the class.
