The shuttle ride was smooth and quiet and they did in fact make it in five minutes as there was nobody else around. Reaching the stones Violet jumped out and ran right over the barrier to the centre, “Hurry up we seriously haven’t got all day!” She yelled pacing. “Jesus Violet we will make it, don’t get all worked up.” Nolan said calmly as he and Wes joined her. “So what are we doing around some old rocks anyway?” Wes grumbled kicking the grass. Nolan glanced at Violet who smirked and nodded, “This is how we are getting to your new school.”
“Are you sure you have enough power to open the gait?” A voice spoke from behind the tallest stone. “Who’s there?” Nolan called out. Violet gravitates towards Wes pulling him behind her bracing body. A male stepped out and introduced himself, “I’m Atlis.Remember me? How are you doing Vi. Pausing he ran his hands through his outgrown fluffy bubble gum blue hair and continued. And you Nolan, how are you doing?” Violet clenched her fist now visibly shaking, “Atlis!” she snarled “What are you doing here?” Nolan Flexted his hands towards the ground as a silver mist started to encase them. “Now, now, Nolan, Serephina wouldn’t take kindly to you killing one of her favourite employees, now would she?” His tone was heavily condescending and righteous. “Just because she gave you a promotion doesn't make you some favourite employee, or did you hit your head on your last mission harder than they thought?” Violet snipped back. “What are you doing here anyway?” Nolan asked, letting the mist subside. “Isn’t it obvious? Why else would anyone be here?” He laughed “Seriously how did you get into the organisation? I clearly need to go through the gait but I thought I would wait for you because I couldn't be bothered to open it myself.” “And how did you know we would be here?” Wes asked boldly, “Well little boy being as important as I am, I hear things around my office and I get told things seen as I’m a favourite employee.” Atlis said smugly. “If you're so important couldn’t you afford a better hair stylist?” Wes laughed mockingly. Atlis snarled. “What no come back bubblegum?” Wes jeered. “Let's just open the gait,”Atlis switched “Fine.” Violet rolled her eyes.
Atlis walked over and took Noland’s left hand as Violet took his right, and they faced the largest stone arch. “Hale, step to the side for a moment please.” Violet called out, tightening her grip on Noland's hand. Wes lent against one of the smaller stones as they started chanting, “Magic gait, Time as one, Fabricated lines of the universe be undone!” swirling gold shimmering white mist broke through the rain drops creating a magical dome around them. “Magic gait, Time as one, Fabricated lines of the universe be undone!” they chanted a fifth time and simultaneously Violet and Atlis swung their free arm towards the arch commanding the mist into a single charging point the gold coiled around the needle, and as it hit the empty space between the the stone pillars it started to fill till each partikel was replaced with magic gold swirling mist. If Wes hadn’t just watched it happen he would have simply thought there was a draped veil hanging in mid air. “Well Violet is getting a little sloppy on the release there.” Atlis mocked. “If i didn’t know any better i would have thought you had had no idea where you were going, but that would be pretty ironic as your name is Atlis your one step up from map Bubblegum.” Wes retorted as he joined them at Violet's side. “Hey, stop calling me Bubblegum! You’re just a kid you don’t know anything” Atlis hollered, sounding extremely flustered, “I still have a better hair style.” Looking him up and down Wes said, "and a better fashion sense.” Atlis was wearing a matching bubble gum blue cloke over one shoulder which had a white fluffy bottom fringe with gold fastenings over a white shirt and black three quarter trousers with long white socks and black boots he was stood with his hands on his hips pointing his, celestial chiseled nose which went with his other chiseled features, towards the raining sky making the water run down his pale cheeks. “Who in this day and age wears a cloak over one shoulder you look like some pompous rat.” Wes remarked. Atlis’s usually ghostly pale face was turning red. “Okay that's enough playing with the puppet Hale.” Violet took Wes by the hand and pulled him towards the gait “We have more important business to attend to.” Violet took Nolan’s hand and quickened her pace, as Atlis followed.
Reaching the brink of the gait there was an unrecognizable howling noise mixed with a whistling. They hit the wall of mist as a jog and passing through was excruciatingly painful. Wes screamed out in pain as their bodies turned into the pure essence they were created to pass through time and space. The sensation was as if someone had taken every bone out of your body and you were jelly but you could still feel your bones as they were shaved down into a fine powder. When they stumbled out the otherside Wes stumbled but was caught by Violet who looked equally worse for wear. Their bodies felt as if they were filled with the fine powder, “Solace Flawless, Sanaresandar.” Violet cried, shaking as she fell to the floor. A green mist emanated from her hands gravitating towards the boys across the grassy ground covering their feet. “Violet, you shouldn’t use healing incantations after going through the gate, you know this.” Nolan urged. “Yes well, it works though doesn't it?” Nolan and Wes both no longer felt like sacks of powder but the cost was greater for violet who as Nolan helped her to her felt started coughing and losing her breath. Nolan was now concerned, laid her on her back, placed one hand over her forehead and one over her stomach and under his breath muttered an incantation, “Light of sun, heart of moon, heal the inner wounds, let the inner damage be removed.” A glowing amber light burned from his palms as he moved them along the entire length of her figure. She sat up slowly and mumbled, “Says you, Mr hypocrite.” Nolan chuckled, "At least you are feeling better.” He extended his hand for her to just ignore it and push off of the ground to stand up. Violet dusted herself off and looking around it was exactly as she had remembered it all those years ago, the stonehenge fully built and in perfect condition no rain clear skies and where the open grass land field had been just moments before ravenscroft academy stood tall and proud the red brick exterior with ivy scaling the walls and the large raven stood upon a book for the crest above the iron gait looking ominous and dangerous as ever. “Here it is, what do you think?” Nolan asked, gesturing towards the school as if introducing a prize on a game show. “Is this really it?” Wes asked matter of factly. “Hay ill have you know this is the esteemed ravenscroft academy you are bound to find your way here.” Nolan yelled defensively “wherever you may have lost it.” Violet muttered under her breath. “Don’t you worry I haven't lost it, that's what old people do after they have kids.” Wes had herded her and was now glaring towards the school. 107Please respect copyright.PENANAB5CyZjb8gw
They approached the iron gait, trudging through the tall grass. Once the gait was upon them it was way more vast then it had looked from the distance, towering over them ominously. Violet pressed her hand to the metal and it started to glow and as if there was a ripple in water a veil was disabled and the gait started to lift. 107Please respect copyright.PENANAf7uHeH8usK
They walked down the cobbled road, “Where did Bubble-gum go?” Wes queried. “He would have followed his own path through the gait straight to the office.” Nolan grumbbled, to a nod of recognition from Wes. 107Please respect copyright.PENANA59Qdv00Vev
As they reached the giant oak door it opened as if it sensed their presence, to reveal a tall thin beautiful woman with knee length straight scarlet hair which coincided with the marron and black leather all in one which was skin tight other then the flared legs which had a triangle cut out revealing her pointed black velvet heels. She glided towards them putting her round glasses on her snub nose. “So you’re Westly Hale, are you?” she leard in a full high society english accent. Wes raised his eyebrow “What’s it to you.” he snorted. “You have a clear attitude problem, no matter here at Reravenscroft we will squash the defiance right out of you.” She sneered. “Who are you anyway?” Wes scoffed, “I’ll have you know I'm the head mistress of this fine establishment, Miss Whinsdale." Her demeanour had not changed from the calm composed refined style she always wore. “Mistress hay, wonder who the unlucky guy is.” Wes goaded. Whinsdale's eye twitched for a fraction of a second before, “I will see you in detention Mr Hale three thirty sharp. Having a quick tongue in this school is going to get you nowhere other than trouble.” she shot back. “Go easy on him Delilah.” Nolan pleaded, “I most certainly will not, I expect nothing less than perfect.” Delilah Whinsdale turned on her heel and glided down the hall. “Be good Hale. You hear me, hold your tongue and stay out of trouble.” Violet demanded as a last fleeting attempt to instill some common sense, which was met with Wes physically sticking his tongue out and holding it “Is this okay?” he stuttered. Violet raised an eyebrow and he stopped not before Nolan could start laughing which Violet took as an issue and turned on him, “Don’t encourage the bad behaviour mercer!” “Ohh you in trouble,” Wes jeered. “You will be two if you don’t hurry along.” Violet snipped. 107Please respect copyright.PENANACAdF8oIekR
Wes slunked away following Delilah up the grand stone staircase. “Close your mouth Nolan otherwise you will have enough drool to put out a small forest fire.” Violet said repulsed. 107Please respect copyright.PENANAWExhOKVuNu
The air was growing colder despite the radiant blue cloudless skies. “The tree gait should just be around the corner.” Nolan indicated, and followed the path along the line of trees till they came across the rune engraved barkless white wood trees, which were easily differentiated from the other Ash wood trees which surrounded them. Violet took Nolan’s hand once more feeling the familiar sense of warmth and safety in the connection “Magical woodland gait, Time is but one, Fabricated lines of time be undone.” They chanted in unison they brought their harms to chest height and flattened their palms towards the space between the trees. Steadying their stance the same white mist surrounded them encasing them in a dome before it shot in the direction their hands were pointed. 107Please respect copyright.PENANAOqzAkhyDeI
Once the mist had created the veil and the power had drained Violet lost her footing and nearly collapsed, “You are over working yourself you aren’t using magic for the remainder of today and once we have are mission you are going straight home to sleep i will deal with Hale.” Nolan said concernedly and yet it was not a request but an order. He then placed her right arm across his shoulders holding her hand to keep it in place and then wrapped his left arm around her waist to shoulder her through the gait. “Im seriously fine.” Violet insisted as they walked out the other side. “You don’t look it.” Cora said. Cora Violet's best friend and life line had short wavy candy floss pink hair she was in a blue and yellow cardigan with her pastel multi pastel coloured cargo trousers, “You look like the rainbow threw up on you hun.” Violet teased. “What you got for us today?” Nolan asked abruptly as Atlis wandered over “I have an assortment of things ive…” Cora had been cut off, “Do the leprechauns know one of the rainbows got loose?” Atlis mocked. Looking completely unfazed, Cora said, “Hi Atlis, anyway where was I?” “You were going to tell us what you had found.” Nolan reminded her also ignoring Atlis. “Right, yes I remember now, well then come to the lab I just cleaned.” Cora said and started down a corridor.
