"She will tear down everything she's ever stood for all for this pitiful revenge pilled experience that'll make her no better than them."
As the screen cuts to black, a chair comes flying in from the back, crashing into the theater screen, with Milo standing tall. After looking at his anger-imbued face, and an audible grunt, he stomps his way past the crowd before slamming the doors of the theater shut as he exits.
Comparatively, everyone else, including Sayla, was shaking from head to toe, or at the very least frozen. As the silence struck the room, the man laying against the edge of the theater stage sits up like a robot before shouting.
"FREE ROOM AND BOARD! IT'S LIKE I'M BACK IN COLLEGE AGAIN!!" He says, similarly shutting the doors to the theater closed as he leaves, just with more happiness.
Just before the lights shut off and the video had played, Sayla was intending to go talk to the girl in the front row. Now deciding it was the perfect time to make an introduction.
Sayla slowly begins to approach the girl in the front row, but as she gets closer, a horrifying truth comes to fruition.
"Oh my god!" She shouts, gaining the attention of everyone in the room. "She's bleeding!" From further inspection, Shen immediately characterizes the wound as a stab wound that had been promptly ejected from the torso.
"I got this-" Shen says, tearing off a piece of cloth off his shirt, before stuffing it into the open wound, a makeshift gauze of sorts.
"Let's get her to the medical bay, now!" Natavan shouts, grabbing one end of her body while Shen carries the other.
Everyone but Milo, the homeless guy, and Ronan had attended the nurses office. Ronan went off to explore, saying, "I'd rather know where I'll sleep, the girl seems to be a lost cost." before running off.
Everyone sat outside besides Truett and Shen, Truett went in to help assist Shen in any way he could.
Before long, Shen came outside, with a bit of blood on his shirt, but a bright smile. "She's breathing good now, luckily the stab wound didn't hit any major arteries or organs. We heavily gauzed and bandaged it, so for what we got in this place, we did a good job." He says, patting the sign above the door that says "nurse."
As Sayla entered through the door, the girl, now sat up on the bed, looked more confused than scared.
"How are you feeling?" Sayla asks.
"I barely remember what happened... Last thing I remember was passing out in the bus.." As Sayla hears this, she stumbles back a few steps, with an impressive amount of confusion.
"So you... Never woke up since then till now?"
"Not that I know of." She says, rubbing her eyes and yawning. Sayla says goodbye before exiting out the front door, looking at the rest of the group sitting on Vietnam war beds, the same beds that block the hallways.
"She seems okay, but she knows next to nothing about any of this. She says the last thing she remembers was going unconscious on the bus."
"How did she even get to the theater then? Is it possible she started there, like we each started in random rooms?" Truett says.
"We all woke up with another person besides us, right?" Everyone began to nod their head besides Sarah, who, still startled, spoke up.
"I think I may have been the only one to wake up alone, it makes sense considering there are 11 of us total."
"So who woke up alongside..." Sayla begins speaking before pausing, and going towards the nurses door and swinging the door open.
"What's your name, sorry?"
"Uh... ah, Kinsley."
"Thank you!" Sayla says, shutting the door closed.
"So who woke up alongside Kinsley?" As Sayla spoke, not a single person raised their hand.
Half a day had passed. Everyone went out to explore while Shen and Sayla stayed near the nurses office for a good few hours before heading out to explore themselves.
On their exploration, they find a door locked, with a sign above, that says, Kitchen. As Shen attempts to open the door, a loud buzz goes off, the door completely locked shut.
A while later afterwards, a bell went off on an intercom, shortly followed by a gut-wrenching constant shreking sound.
"What is that?!" Sayla shouts, covering her ear next to Shen who's doing the same. Eventually the shrieking subsides, and a voice comes out from over the intercom.
"That sounds infuriating isn't it? Everyone head to the cafeteria."
After a second of thinking, the voice finally appeared in Sayla's head. "I recognize that voice. That's Ronan."
"So why are we here?" Brutus says, bouncing his knee up and down in a chair. 5 people stood upright, leaning against the walls of the cafeteria, while the remaining 6 decided to sit down at the table adjacent to the wall.
"Also how'd you get access to the intercom?" Sayla asks Ronan, staring at him sitting at one of the ends of the table.
"Before all that, I got a question. Who woke up in the same room as our Kinsley here?" He says, pointing towards the door before it opens, showing Kinsley walking from the nurses. "How'd you-" Truett says before stopping himself.
Once again, not a single person raised their hand, or spoke. It stood dead silent in the room. "I was told the details of this situation from my dear friend Bourne here." He says, putting his arm over the back of his neck.
"There are eleven of us, and I woke up alone. everyone else woke up with some-" before Sarah could finish her sentence, Milo stands up from his chair, raising his hand.
"I woke up alone too."
"Alright, everyone, grab the person you woke up with and partner up." Bourne says, clapping his hand like a coach.
Truett and Bourne stood next to each other. Sayla quickly sat next to the homeless guy, laying tired in his chair. Natavan quickly grabbed her brother before they backed away from the rest of the crowd to give themselves some space. Finally, Shen reluctantly stood next to Ronan, who was now standing upright at the end of the table.
Milo, Sarah, and Kinsley stood alone.
"So one of you two is lying!" Brutus yells, pointing at Milo and Sarah.
"Why in the world would they have everyone but 2 people wake up alone? That makes no sense!" He continues to shout, pointing, until Natavan lowers his hand.
"Oh, but it does!" Ronan says, running towards the wall, pulling a marker out of his back pocket.
"Imagine a scenario with me. Imagine you're the killer. you wake up before the person you're also waking up with, as if you're less drugged than the rest. You run outside to go explore a bit, exploring every room you enter. You end up going into a room with two people, laid passed out. Is it wrong to think a bloodthirsty killer wouldn't take the victim out of the room they were in to possibly attempt to frame someone, remove an alibi?" Ronan says, beginning to spiral.
"Wait, stop. Are you saying they might have taken Kinsley out of the room she woke up in?"
"It's a likely possibility. Why would the killer kill someone, knowing it'd remove an alibi for themselves?" Ronan says, leaning against the wall covered in a makeshift map of the building he drew.
''Good theory, sure, but what if the killer didn't know better? Why would they think to need an alibi? They don't even know where they are." Truett says, pondering just as equally.
"Considering whoever the killer is truly as smart as the man in the video said, I'd assume he wouldn't kill someone in such a way."
"So you're making assumptions?" Brutus says, getting more and more frustrated, before storming out of the cafeteria entirely.
"Finally, an important piece of the puzzle we keep forgetting is that Kinsley never woke up. The first time she ever saw this place was when she woke up in the nurses office, I'm right, correct?" He asks, pointing at Sayla.
"Yes, but how-"
"So the killer had to have woken up before her, would've had time to drag her out of someone's room as well."
"You thought about this a lot, huh?" Shen said, laid back in a chair.
"The moment Bourne told me, I just thought. That's it really." Everyone sat in silence for a good while, staring at Ronan, standing at the end of the table, looking around at everyone.
"But all of that isn't even the biggest clue here. Sayla?"
"Yes?"
"Think."
Sayla sat there for a second, everyone staring at her. I don't understand why he put me on the spot. She thinks, standing up from her chair. Everyone watches as she gives a good rack of the brain.
"Shen, what did the entry wound look like to you?" She asks him, slowly sitting back down in her chair.
"A sharp object... Size wise, maybe a kitchen knife?" He says.
In that moment, you can see a look across Sayla's face, before she slams her fist on the table.
"The killer could've, in theory, killed in the same room they woke up in, but they knew that was a bad idea in terms of an alibi. So they left, and went into the locked kitchen to grab a weapon. We all had our stuff taken from us when we woke up, they couldn't have brought that knife in." She sat there, formulating her words.
"On the way, they could've easily found the crow room. Reading the plaque on the wall would've given them a good idea towards the fact they had to stay hidden, so after grabbing the knife, they found someone in a separate room so they'd still have an alibi. They brought Kinsley to the theater and attempted to kill her there before running off to their room before their partner woke up. That's why they only tried to kill her and messed up, because they were in a time crunch."
After a good minute of silence, a clap from Ronan in the background came apparent, in a slower than normal clap way, yet still approving.
"One question, I still don't understand why the killer took Kinsley out of the room." Bourne says.
"A multitude of reasons. To create confusion, to create a suspect who cant even claim they woke up and saw the dead body, or the possibility of the killer being afraid of killing with someone still in the room, afraid they'd wake up." Ronan says before turning towards Sayla, who seems to have overloaded their brain.
"There's still more to this than just speculation, but you got the idea." He says, stretching his arms. "Milo, where'd you say you woke up again?" He asks.
"U-uh, the Gym."
"Well, then lets go."
