Dear Diary,
I've taken in some things from other people I've met. I've also learned why. I'm me and how mature and pure I am. I've taken a lot of things into consideration, the way people think, the way they talk, and the way they show their emotions to others. But, the thing is what if you inherit their characteristics and shape it into your own? What made me think of it when my teacher was giving us a question for our bellringer. Our bellringer question was, "what is your favorite form of entertainment? What problem does it solve for you?" It kept my mind wondering but then until it was abrupted by someone. "I like to play video games." He said. She said, "That's not a form of entertainment." That made me wonder.
She then said "You kids don't understand what I mean, you kids think entertainment is playing video games or watching tv or something in that category. But the way that you entertain yourself is by feeding your soul. How? Well you, what else do you do that makes you entertained besides playing games or watching videos or whatever you do that involves electronics?" I wondered. I do have a lot of things that entertain me. Writing, playing the guitar, cleaning cars, fixing cars, cutting grass, talking to family and friends, and so much more.
I raised my hands sky high. She saw my hand and said, "What do you do then?" with a look of curiosity. I said," What I do for entertainment, Is playing my guitar which I plan to play on the last day of school, writing, cleaning cars, and fixing cars." her facial expression sawed amazement. She said "He didn't only listed things that entertained him but he also listed some careers. People fix on vehicles, people play in a band, people do detailing, and people cut yards for extra change." she then said, "Anyone else?" The classroom was filled with hands being raised.
My face lit up. I was amazed. Not by explaining what I do to entertain myself but I also influence the people around me on what entertains them. There were pretty interesting answers. What I learned from this day was. Games or television doesn't entertain you. But what entertains you is communication and motivation and so much more. It's something that your soul has to feed on to make you-you. You inherit other people's characteristics to enhance your characteristics. Which is an awesome thing.
I hope I meet other people. Not only to inherit their personality but to enjoy them as a friend or person. Because that's how us humans were made to be. We were meant to communicate with one another and inherit something from others that matches your personality.
