After Yin Yue, Yin Jue and Da Qiao finish paying their respect to their mother's funeral, they go back to the palace. When going back home the three of them ride a different carriage. Yin Jue who still have some business in the town having his own carriage. While Da Qiao and Yin Yue go home together using the same carriage.
Inside the carriage, Da Qiao and Yin Yue sit together next to each other.
"Why did you pick out so many wild flowers?" Ask Yin Yue.
"All of these flowers are colorful. I will use them to create a colorful ink." Said Da Qiao.
"Colorful ink? What did you use that for?" Ask Yin Yue.
"For my painting~" Said Da Qiao.
Right after she reply him, the carriage suddenly stop. The servant suddenly open the front curtain.
"I'm sorry your majesty. There are some people stopping our carriage. All of them brought a weapon." Said the servant.
"Who are they and what they want?" Ask Yin Yue.
"They are the bandits. They want us to give all of our precious stuff to them." Said the servant.
"How many of them outside?" Ask Yin Yue.
"There are three of them." Said the servant.
Yin Yue is trying to walk out of his carriage, but Da Qiao warn him.
"H-hey.. Don't be reckless.. If you go out right now, you will be in danger.." Said Da Qiao.
"Don't worry. I'll take care all of this." Said Yin Yue.
"Then... stay safe.." Said Da Qiao.
Right after that Yin Yue came out from the carriage. There he saw a total of three bandits each of them bring their own weapon. The middle one is a fat bald guy bringing an axe, the left and right one is a skinny guy bringing a sword. The middle one probably their boss. Yin Yue stand not too far from them.
"Excuse me, we are just a commoner.. We don't have many to give." Said Yin Yue.
"I don't need your excuse. We want everything you have right now. Give all of them to us, and your journey will be safe ahead." Said the bandit boss.
Yin Yue, taking out all of his money from his robes and he give it to him.
"Only this? You have a carriage! We want all the things you have inside! You guys go check his carriage and take everything from it." Said the bandit boss.
The two subordinate gonna check the carriage but Yin Yue quickly stop them. He start defending his carriage. The 3 of them start fighting. Yin Yue who learn martial arts easily fight those 2 skinny bandits. When 1 of them try to slash his swords to Yin Yue from a far, he take out the small crossbow from his back and attack the bandits pointing it at his shoulder and knocking down the other one and break his swords. The boss is scared, he quickly run away. He got no injury, only a small slash on his right arm. The servant quickly help him to get inside the carriage. Da Qiao surprise.
"Are you okay?" Ask Da Qiao.
"No worries, it's just a small injury." Said Yin Yue.
Da Qiao quickly tear down her arms robe and quickly tied Yin Yue arm, to stop the bleeding. They quickly continue their journey back to the palace. Right after arrived inside the Yin Yue's chamber, the servant quickly call a physician to check on him.
"Glad it's just a small slash. You don't have to worry, your majesty. I will prescript the medicine for you. After you put on the medicine, your wound will be healed in no time." Said the physician.
"Thank you." Said Yin Yue.
"You also have to rest your arm, don't move it too much." Said the physician.
"How long it will take this wound to dry?" Ask Yin Yue.
"The longest will be a week. But if you rest properly, it only take 3-5 days to heal." Said the physician.
"Alright thankyou." Said Yin Yue.
"Mhm. I wish you a quick health. I will leave first." Said The physician. After that he left the chamber.
Da Qiao only look at him and after that she silently gonna leave the chamber but then, Yin Yue saw it.
"Aren't you supposed to take care of me as a wife?" Ask Yin Yue.
"... Oh, yeah.. Actually I don't want to interrupt your rest. So I think it's better for me to take a leave, right?" Said Da Qiao.
"No. I want you to stay here and take care of me, your husband." Said Yin Yue.
(What the hell, he looks so healthy, only a scratch in his arm, and I need to take care of him? He got his servant, he also have a lot of maid. Such a crybaby. Husband my ass, you only marry me just for your own greedy goal.)
"Ah.. But, I also have to finish my painting, your majesty." Said Da Qiao.
"Servant, moves all her painting stuff to my chamber." Said Yin Yue.
"Alright your majesty." Said the servant, he quickly bow and leave the room.
"If you insist, then, I will stay here to take care of you." Said Da Qiao.
That day onwards, Yin Yue is sitting on his chamber, reading a book, while Da Qiao is on the table not too far from him, continuing her painting. This time she try to creates the color made of flower. Yin Yue secretly looks at her.
She finish 60% of her painting. Some of them already filled with color. For her it's a super fun and tiring day that she spent. She fall asleep on the chair, while her head lay on the table. Yin Yue secretly walk over to look at her painting. This is the first time he saw a painting that really looks like a real human proportion and also a colorful one. It really remind him of his marriage before. Bowing down to his father and the queen, wearing a red clothing.
After looking at the painting, he put it back on the table, and sit next to her. He saw her face are somehow messy and dirty by the colorful ink. He smiles. He take out a napkin from his robes and slowly wipes her dirty face. Da Qiao feels something was on her face. While her eyes still closed and she is in her dreams, she mumbles something.
"BaoBao... Stop licking my face..." Mumble Da Qiao in her sleep.
Yin Yue surprised, he stop wiping her face.
"BaoBao?... Who is that?..." Whisper Yin Yue to himself, confused.
