He sighs and thinks, “I wish I didn’t have this job, especially during this time.”
He slows down his walking pace, to just breathe for a second.
Until a man runs up to him, “Jacob!” The man says,
“Oh, hey James, it’s been a while since we’ve talked, how’s your life?” Jacob asks,
“Oh, it’s been good, my family has been good. My son, Zion, has now graduated and is going to college in bottle town.” Replied James,
“Wow! Your son is going to college in bottle town? Which one?” Asked Jacob,
“I think it was named, Crimson University.” Replied James,

James says, “She is doing good, she has a new job at Sina elementary school here in docktown.”
Jacob says, “Wow, that’s great.” Jacob smiles. “Well, I got to go guard the docktown walls, I will see you tomorrow.”
Jacob starts walking again,
James waves goodbye and says, “Ok, I will see you tomorrow.”

Then they part ways. Jacob checks his watch, and realizes it’s 8:29 pm, he was supposed to be there at 8:10 pm. Jacob starts speed walking, but not running.
When he makes it to the walls, it’s 8:35 PM. He talks to one of the guards, “So…hey how has your day been?”
The young guard says, “Stop talking, you’re already late, I had to keep away 2 entities already.”
Jacob replies, “Sorry, I just got busy with a friend.”
The young guard says, “Just shut up.”

The young guard smirks and looks at Jacob and says, “Do you think I care if I get fired? I don’t like this stupid job anyway! My dad forced me to do this, I don’t want to do this at all. So go ahead, fire me, I would love that, trust me.”88Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡlSYX1hk1vF
The young guard then says, “Plus, what’s an old head even doing out here anyway? Shouldn’t you be taking your meds and sleeping grandpa?”
Jacob looks at him, anger in his eyes. Until he hears,
“Why are you getting so rage-baited?”

Both of the guards freeze, Jacob thinks, “Oh no……it’s the gloop. But it doesn’t have eyes, just good hearing, and good movement tracking. Meaning if we just stay still, it won’t hurt me or the young guard.”
The young guard breathes heavily, and lets out the words, “Oh……my……god….”
The gloop turns toward the young guard, and smiles even wider, “Thank you.”
The gloop swiftly moves toward the young guard, the guard starts running. The more the gloop ran, the more the gloop became faster.
The gloop is on the other side of the wall, so Jacob runs in the gates and goes up the wall by ladder.
He runs to the side that the gloop was on, to see……the young guard gone….
