Next Sunday, Niti was waiting for Trisha to come to her house so that they could play with their dolls. Niti was tapping her foot while waiting, and her father noticed that. Niti’s father told her, “You seem really excited! I’m sure you will have a great time playing with Trisha.” Niti replied, “Yes, Baba, I’m very excited today. I hope both of us have an amazing time playing with our dolls.” When Trisha came to their house and rang the bell, Niti eagerly went to answer the door.
Niti opened the door and asked, “Why are you late? I thought you would come earlier.”
Trisha said, “Let me enter the house first. Then I’ll tell you why I am late.”
“Niti replied, “Yes, come inside.”
Trisha told her, “My science teacher came late, so she went to her house late. At 4 o'clock, I wanted to get up. But she was there. So, I couldn’t get ready at that time.”
Niti’s mother said, “It’s completely fine. Now eat something and then start playing with Niti.”
She made pizza for both of them. While eating the pizza, Trisha told Niti, “Do you know our classmate, Parna, also bought a curly-haired doll. I saw her doll yesterday. It’s pretty. But it’s not as beautiful as your doll.”
Niti looked, with questioning eyes, “Why does it seem everyone is buying curly-haired dolls?”
“No, no, it’s only a coincidence, nothing else.”
Niti and Trisha started playing with their dolls, and both of them seemed very glad. Trisha giggled, saying, “Our dolls are attending the same school like us. How amazing is that!” Then Trisha played the role of a teacher and asked Amara a few questions. As Amara could not speak, Niti spoke on her behalf. Those questions are related to English, their compulsory subject. Then Niti also played the role of a teacher. She asked Amara questions about Bengali, and Trisha answered them. Both of them had a lot of fun playing with their dolls.
Niti’s parents watched them outside Niti’s room. They noticed Niti’s bright smile, and her mother spoke, “We should invite Trisha more to our house. See how happy Niti looks!” Niti’s father replied, “You said what I was thinking. Yes, Niti is looking so happy.”
Trisha told Niti, “I can come to your house every Sunday to play! That would be so much fun!”
Niti replied, “Yes, we will both play with our dolls.” Niti thought for a while and then said with a smile, “You asked really difficult questions to Amara.”
Trisha responded, giggling, “Yes, I know. I deliberately asked difficult questions. I wanted to check her knowledge.”
“But you actually checked my knowledge.”
Both of them burst out laughing. Niti’s father flashed a broad smile, looking at them.
Niti spoke, looking at the doll affectionately, “My doll gives so much positive vibes. Even though I saw a strange dream involving Amara, I’m not feeling scared of her at all.”
“I can understand what you are talking about. She really gives positive vibes.”
Then both Niti and Trisha played with their dolls for hours.
