Piecus stood frozen, speechless.
"Are you going to tell me or not... Piecus!?" Flame roared.
"Flame, please... don't do this!" Piecus pleaded.
In response, a torrent of fire erupted from the dragon’s maw. The flames began to encircle the ground, the trees, and the bushes. Hiding nearby, Viyog and Sarunya hissed, "Shit!!" while Darshan and Chandu trembled in extreme anxiety.
Flame scorched the surrounding area and suddenly lunged to attack Piecus. Piecus barely managed to dodge the strike. Seeing this, Viyog realized he couldn't stay hidden any longer.
"No... I have to go and save Piecus," Viyog thought. But just as the thought crossed his mind, Flame’s fire lashed out and struck the very bush they were hiding behind!
"Quick! Come with me, now!" Viyog commanded, grabbing Sarunya, Darshan, and Chandu to lead them away from the encroaching heat.
Meanwhile, Piecus struggled to stay ahead of the dragon's breath. "These fire flames are incredibly hot!" he thought desperately. "Even though I'm dodging them, the sheer shock of the heat feels like it's burning me alive!"
Flame turned his gaze toward Viyog, Sarunya, Darshan, and Chandu.
Flame: "So... you're over there...!!"
With a mighty roar, he lunged toward them. Sarunya, Darshan, and Chandu were paralyzed with fear.
Flame: "It would be wise for you to come with me now. If not, I will have no choice but to kill you!"
Viyog's eyes flared with rage. "None of us are coming with you. Not now, not ever!"
Immediately, Flame drew a deep breath, opening his massive maw to incinerate them.
Darshan: "Oh no—!!"
Just as the fire was about to erupt, a bright white laser struck Flame’s neck, forcing the dragon to jerk his head aside. The four of them turned in shock to see Piecus! He was finally unleashing his hidden powers.
Piecus: "Melting White Laser!!"
He fired again, the beam cutting through the air toward Flame. However, the laser didn't seem to have a massive impact on the dragon’s thick scales. Angered, Flame turned his fiery breath toward Piecus, who barely managed to leap out of the way just in time.
Flame turned his gaze back toward Viyog, Sarunya, Darshan, and Chandu. Seeing the fire already swirling in the dragon's maw, Viyog screamed, "RUN!!!"
They bolted. Flame lunged after them, following close behind. They scrambled through the terrain, desperately trying to evade his attacks, but suddenly, Sarunya’s foot got caught between the rocks, and she fell hard to the ground.
Sarunya: "Ah...!"
Darshan looked back, panicked. "Sarunya!"
Viyog: "Sarunya, watch out!"
Chandu stood paralyzed, staring at Flame’s approaching face with pure terror.
Darshan: "I think her leg is badly hurt!"
As they struggled to help her, Flame descended and landed right in front of them, blocking their path.
Flame: "It would be better for you to come with me quietly!"
Viyog stepped forward, positioning himself protectively in front of his friends, his eyes burning with defiance. Flame, seeing this, grew even more enraged.
Flame: "Fine then... have it your way."
The dragon opened his mouth wide to incinerate them. But just as the flames were about to erupt, a massive white laser struck him with incredible force, making Flame stumble a step back!
Flame snarled, looking around to see who had dared to strike him. It was Piecus!
Piecus looked back at Viyog, Darshan, Sarunya, and Chandu.
Piecus: "Run and hide!"
But they remained frozen, staring at him in shock.
Flame: "I won't let anyone go! I will kill you all!"
Seeing them still hesitating, Piecus screamed at the top of his lungs:
Piecus: "I said RUN AND HIDE!!"
That command finally broke their trance. They bolted from the clearing. Darshan, seeing Sarunya's injury, quickly lifted her up and ran with all his might!
Flame: "You will pay for this, Piecus!"
Piecus (glaring back defiantly): "Whatever. I don't care."
Flame let out a dark laugh and lunged at him. While Sarunya, Darshan, Viyog, and Chandu searched frantically for a place to hide, Flame unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks. Piecus was forced into a purely defensive position; the dragon was so quick that there was no time to counterattack.
Piecus: "He’s too fast!"
Finally, the group found a cavern-like opening beneath the surface and disappeared inside. Meanwhile, Piecus felt his luck running out. "This can't go on forever," he thought. Just then, a blast of fire caught him directly. Piecus's eyes widened in sudden, absolute terror!
