Ferran: "Whatever you desire, Dragon Flame. Come!"
Flame let out a dark chuckle and exhaled a torrent of searing fire toward him.
Ferran swung his weapon with precision, cleaving through the flames. "Careful now," he taunted. "You better keep your eyes open if you want to keep up."
Enraged, Flame lunged forward, his massive weight shattering the balcony into fragments. Ferran leaped into the abyss, but he didn't just fall—he dragged his weapon against the mansion’s stone walls, using the friction to slow his descent before landing perfectly on the ground below.
Flame dove after him with predatory speed. Ferran dodged the initial strike, but the dragon didn't stop. It began a relentless barrage of fire, forcing Ferran into a defensive stance.
"His attacks are powerful," Ferran thought as he sprinted through the smoke. "But according to what I know, he isn't built for speed. I just need one perfect momentum... one opening."
Just as the thought crossed his mind, Flame lunged again. Ferran twisted his body mid-air, narrowly avoiding a crushing blow.
Flame: "Is that all, Reze Warrior? Just running?"
Ferran: "Don't forget, Dragon Flame... I haven't even begun my counter-attack yet."
In the blink of an eye, Ferran vanished from Flame's sight. When the dragon opened its eyes, Ferran was already standing inches away. Flame recoiled in shock, his golden eyes meeting Ferran’s cold, fearless gaze.
Swinging his body with immense torque, Ferran lashed out. His weapon whistled through the air, grazing Flame’s neck. The dragon barely managed to recoil in time, but the strike left a stinging mark.
Ferran didn't give him a second to breathe. He pressed the advantage, unleashing a flurry of high-speed strikes. His weapon became a blur, carving into Flame’s armored hide. Blood—thick and glowing—began to seep from the dragon's wounds.
Roaring in pain and frustration, Flame beat his massive wings, creating a powerful gust that pushed Ferran back, before retreating into the sky to regain his footing.
Flame soared higher into the sky, his chest heaving. "His attacks... they’re deadly," the dragon thought, looking down at his bleeding hide.
Ferran looked up, his expression mocking. "Your body is covered in wounds already. Why retreat so far now?" He let out a sharp laugh. "I told you, didn't I? You have to keep your eyes open!"
Flame’s rage boiled over. His words... they are insufferable! "BLAZING FIRE!" the dragon roared.
Suddenly, Flame’s eyes ignited with a violent, concentrated heat. Fire began to lick the tips of his wings, and his horns turned into glowing brands of molten white.
"Ho... he’s transforming," Ferran whispered, standing his ground as he watched the dragon’s power surge.
Flame glared down with burning eyes and sneered. "Now come, Reze Warrior! Let’s see you dodge this!" He exhaled a stream of fire.
In the blink of an eye, the blast reached him. Ferran leaped away just in time, but the fire followed him like a heat-seeking missile. The flames he’s breathing now are thinner and sharper, Ferran noted as he sprinted through the debris. They’re significantly faster than before.
Finding temporary cover behind a massive rock, Ferran took a deep breath. "I have no other choice."
When he opened his eyes, they were no longer just warrior. White fumes began to pour from his sockets, and a blinding radiance started to emanate from his weapon.
Flame searched for him from above, but Ferran had vanished. Suddenly, the dragon spotted a glow—the white fumes and the melting heat of Ferran’s weapon were visible through the smoke.
Flame instantly fired a blast toward the glow, but Ferran was already gone. In a blur of white light, the warrior appeared directly at the dragon’s throat.
Flame froze in absolute shock.
[Narrative Note: During his clash with Demansion in Chapters 13 and 14, Ferran had used his full Melting Laser. Here, he chose not to unleash the full catastrophic power. Instead, he channeled a controlled portion of his Reze Clan's "Melting Laser" directly into his weapon for close-quarters combat.]
"Melting Laser: Controlled Combat!" Ferran growled. "Nice try, Flame."
He swung the glowing blade in one decisive arc. The strike was silent and devastating.
Flame plummeted from the sky, crashing into the earth with a mountain-shaking thud. Ferran landed gracefully and began to walk toward the fallen beast, his eyes still burning with white fumes and his weapon glowing with the heat of a dying star.
For the first time in his long life, Dragon Flame understood the true meaning of terror.
As the survivors scrambled toward the portal, Sarunya lagged behind. Her leg, wounded since the events of Chapter 9, made every step an agony. A lone Goblin spotted her and charged, screeching with malice.
"Oh no!" she gasped, her heart hammering against her ribs. As the monster lunged, she squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the end.
Suddenly, she felt herself being swept off the ground. The sensation of rushing air replaced the cold dread. She opened her eyes to see Darshan carrying her in a firm grip, his eyes locked forward.
"Don't you dare touch her!" Darshan growled at the beast as he sprinted.
Sarunya exhaled a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Safe..." she whispered. She looked back to see what had happened to the Goblin, only to see it falling—sliced apart by a warrior who moved like a shadow. It was Piecus.
Confused, Sarunya looked at Darshan. "Who... who is that man?"
"That’s Piecus," Darshan explained, his voice urgent. "Chandu consumed the Nobel power and broke the curse. He restored them to their true forms. Right now, Chandu is out there, taking on King Demansion alone."
Sarunya’s eyes widened in total shock. "What?! Chandu is... fighting the King?"
"Yes," Darshan said, a small, weary smile finally breaking across his face. "And now, it’s finally time for us to leave this dimension." A faint, hopeful smile touched Sarunya’s lips for the first time in weeks.
At the portal site, Viyog and his friends were ushering the last of the survivors into the glowing, Ocean Blue gateway.
Piecus stepped forward. "Move carefully, everyone. Viyog, you've done a great job."
Viyog stared at the tall, powerful warrior, failing to recognize him. "Who the hell are you?"
Piecus scratched his cheek awkwardly." Oh, right... they don't know this is what I actually look like." He forced a grin. "It's me, Viyog! It's Piecus!"
Viyog and his friends froze, their jaws dropping in unison. "Piecus?!"
[Earth: KR Pete Hospital]
The ward was in a state of absolute chaos. Doctors and nurses stood paralyzed as they watched Chandu’s body levitating several feet in the air, surrounded by a faint, static-like hum.
Inspector Arun Vijay burst into the room, stopping dead in his tracks. His eyes bulged as he looked at the floating boy.
"What the heck is going on here?!" he barked, his mind struggling to process a reality that defied every law of physics.
[The Ovul Dimension]
Back in the dimension, Ferran stood near the fallen dragon, looking toward the horizon.
"I need to help Chandu... but where are they?" he muttered. He could hear it—the heavy, mechanical roaming sound of the ring—but he couldn't see a thing.
[Narrative Note: The clash between Demansion and Chandu had reached a level beyond mortal comprehension. To any observer, it didn't even look like a fight anymore. Their movements were faster than light, faster than a flash. When their weapons collided, there was only a burst of blinding light, a deafening shockwave, and the ground beneath them shattering into dust. They were ghosts of violence, invisible to the naked eye.]
Ferran watched the distant explosions of light, his voice a calm, awestruck whisper.
"Their speed... it’s insane beyond insane."
He tightened his grip on his weapon, a chill running down his spine.
"What a monsters."
