Everybody was searching for love in the air, hoping they could find their soulmate on along their way while I was too busy for that because I knew, if I had missed that meeting today, I would have to starve for the next month.

After sometime, the meeting got over. I came out, exhausted. I sighed.
I got rejected; perhaps the investor thought I was very helpful-minded, so they would not get the expected profit. I felt tired. Nobody likes to be helpful nowadays and I was worried where our world was going.
That's when I saw her. She was a social worker, beautiful, like her character.

She asked, "Aren't you going to a school ?" . The kid answered, " My family cannot afford !" in a miserable tone. She smiled and continued, "Don't worry, I'll help you with that, I'll ask my team & friends." The child's face glowed like a bright bulb, the incandescent happiness in his face.
And I still got hope. I said to myself, 'The world is running because of people like her.'
I approached her and introduced myself, 'Hey I'm Faye, sorry to interrupt, I heard your conversation with that kid, I'm more than happy to help him too.' smiling like an idiot looking at her.

Days passed by, we talked alot. I joined as a social worker too. We got close with very few days. One day while we were having a deep conversation I asked her, "Joey, what do you think about love? what is love?!".

"I think love is about showing someone you care, going above and beyond for someone, knowing when they’re mad, happy, sad, etc without them needing to say anything, taking care of each other always, loving the worst times and best times, even loving the faults in them, knowing that no matter what happens, it will always be worth it in the end because you have each other! It’s not just the words “I love you” to me, it’s the actions as well! Someone who understands you, values you, cares for you, and will do anything for you! I think love is more powerful than anyone realizes, and I think that even the worst people out there can be better if they have someone who loves them or is in love! No matter what evil is in this world, whether it’s a person or thing, love never dies. So for me, love isn’t just one thing; it’s always in us, but showing it the best way someone can is my definition of love! And I think the world thinks it’s bad that ppl don’t view it like everyone else is because of the society this world created!"
I went speechless, I wondered how one can have the same ideology as mine, am I hearing this really? I doubted myself. That's when I knew I had fallen so hard for her. I admired every single word she said next to it. I can't help falling in love with her. I then went, bought her sunflowers the very next week, and proposed to her. But too bad she wants to be only friends, she was too good that she was hesitant to deny, I said "You can be honest, it's okay!"But for me, she's the hardest to forget in my life. I still remember everything. I highly doubt anyone could make me feel that way again! She was platonic! It's not like all love should end in being together forever.
