In the city-state of Lumière, your pain is carved into your skin as Somatic Scars. Those skilled enough can become Weavers and manipulate them in many ways.
Some call the scars a curse. The state calls it a disease, to be "cured" by any means necessary. The underground seeks burn the old order to ash with destructive power born from suffering.
Austin P.J Middle, Weaver-in-training, walks the line between them all. He sees the scars not as a curse or a weapon, but as a voice. And he is the only one who bothers to listen.
But when the hunt for the severely scarred begins, his rare gift puts him in the crosshairs of the most powerful groups in the city.
To survive, he must learn that the most dangerous power lies not in erasing your demons, or in setting them free...
...but in finding a third way.
