Inside the plane, chaos was a language Ravenfall spoke fluently.
Raiden was laughing so hard at Ishaan's ridiculous dance moves, he nearly fell out of his seat. Erik had his legs up on the armrest, making commentary like he was a judge on a reality show. Avni and Sayaka were sharing sweets they’d swiped from the last base. Lev had a book open but hadn't read a single word for the last ten minutes. Meanwhile, Luce sat near the window, sipping something dark and strong — the calm eye in their ever-moving storm.
Then, the pilot’s voice cut through the madness over the intercom:
"Ravenfall team, we have officially entered Umbra airspace. Estimated landing in five minutes."
Everything stopped.
Every head whipped toward the windows like a synchronized military drill.
"Wait a minute..." Raiden narrowed his eyes, recognizing the coastline below. "This is that island."
Avni's voice rose, her tone loaded with disbelief. “Don’t tell me—this is the same damned island they drugged us on when we first came here?”
Raiden pointed. "That’s the cliff I almost fell off after I got hit with a tranq dart!"
“And that’s where I threatened to kick that one guy in the face,” Avni added.
Luce burst into laughter, not even trying to hide it. “I told you the entrance would be nostalgic.”
“You find this funny?” Avni growled, already marching toward him.
“Uh oh,” Erik whispered. “Here we go.”
Raiden and Avni lunged at Luce in unison, tackling him in their seats. “YOU SET US UP!” they yelled.
Sayaka was nearly crying from laughter. Dev leaned over to Veer. “We’re watching history repeat.”
Then, like the perfect idiot he was, Ishaan pulled out a portable speaker and blasted the Jurassic Park theme.
🎵 Dun dun dun duuun duuun… 🎵
Veer added beatbox sound effects. "Pap-ra-pap-para—WHOA welcome to Dino Island!"
Everyone lost it.
Laughter exploded in the cabin like a bomb. Raiden, still pretending to wrestle Luce, shouted, “Play the next one—play ‘My heart will go on’ from Titanic!”
Landing at Umbra
The laughter hadn’t quite died down by the time the plane touched the pristine runway of Umbra Island.
Waiting on the tarmac were three figures — all powerful, all notorious in their own rights.
Elda Kurogane, Apex Head of COMA — regal, stern, unmoving. Her eyes softened only when she saw her grandchildren.
Sylus Morozov, cold and calculating as ever — the former Apex Head of COMA leader, now in a quieter, older frame.
Irina Volkova, sharp-eyed and unsmiling, her silence more terrifying than any weapon. The former head of Valgrave.
Their expressions were… expectant. Nervous, even. They were prepared for hugs, tears, a flood of long-lost emotion.
What they got was:
“Yo, Veer, I bet Irina can one-punch kill you.”
Veer squinted. “Only if Sylus doesn’t get me first.”
Avni walked off the plane without even glancing at Elda. Sayaka and Raiden followed behind, cool as frost, not slowing.
Lev’s gaze lingered a moment on Sylus and Irina… but said nothing. No recognition. No greetings. He simply walked past and joined the others.
All of them moved toward one person.
Luce.
Their leader. Their anchor.
The three grandparents watched, stunned, as the Ravenfall kids grouped around Luce like he was the only one who mattered in the world.
Elda’s voice finally broke the silence. “Well. That’s… not what I expected.”
Irina sighed. “Teenagers.”
Sylus grunted. “No. Trauma.”
COMA HQ Meeting
Inside COMA’s true headquarters — buried deep within Umbra Island, under layers of tech and stone — a hologram flickered to life.
Gianluca Moretti. Still elegant. Still composed. Streaming in from Valgrave Island.
Luce greeted him quietly. “Gramps.”
“Luce,” Gianluca said with a warm nod. “You’ve grown into a monster.”
Luce smirked. “I had the best mentor.”
Lev leaned closer to Sayaka. “That’s Gianluca? Our…?”
Sayaka gave him a look. “Your maternal grandfather.”
Lev’s eyes widened. “What the hell.”

“This is what we’ve confirmed,” Elda said. “Viktor Reznov — leader of Pyronox — was murdered two months ago.”
“Which means someone impersonated him. Used his face, voice, intel. We don’t know how. Yet.”
He turned toward the screen, eyes grim.
“Project Seraphim is deeper than we imagined. It has three branches:
F-Series: the parents. Used as genetic seeds.
S-Series: the subjects. The born products. Like me.
“And VULTURE,” Luce continued. “The new weapon project. We got close to decoding it. But before we could, a figure — woman — deleted everything. She looked like Yuriko Hanabira.”
D-Series: the ‘Discarded’… or the ‘Dead’. We found the vault. It was already raided. Someone got there before us.”
Explosive. Charged. No one said a word.
“Haruto was just a pawn. Yuriko was the true handler.”
Everyone stiffened.
Elda Kurogane's face tightened. “That’s impossible. She’s—”
“She’s alive,” Luce cut in. “Which means your husband — Rokuro Kurogane — is moving again.”
Silence.
{ Haruto's Interrogation – COMEDY CHAOS
Later, Luce left Haruto in the hands of two very specific agents.
“Ishaan. Veer. He’s all yours.”
“Oh hell yes,” Ishaan grinned.
Veer cracked his knuckles. “Butcher Daddy, welcome to therapy.”
Haruto blinked. “What—”
Veer slammed a report on the table. “This says you created sixty-nine failed children. Nice.”
Ishaan leaned close. “You remember Subject 38? Yeah, that one peed itself during training. We got the footage. Want to see?”
Haruto nearly screamed. “WHAT IS THIS?”
“You talk, you eat,” Ishaan said sweetly. “You lie, we play ‘Guess Who Screamed Louder’ with your test subjects.”
Eventually, Haruto confessed what little he knew. “VULTURE wasn’t mine. Yuriko controlled it. She managed Seraphim’s revival. I just provided the… flesh.” }
“Haruto was just a pawn. Yuriko was the true handler.” luce continued.
Shades of Umbra
As the group stepped out for air, they heard shouting — the clang of blades, the bark of orders.
They turned to see the Glooms of Umbra League — elite adult warriors, 20+, training with lethal precision.
Sayaka’s eyes narrowed.
Raiden adjusted his collar. “Still dramatic.”
Takashi Kurogane stood by the training ring, arms crossed.
He saw his children. His niece. “Sayaka. Raiden. Avni.”
They didn’t reply.
Just walked past.
Takashi called after them, “Maybe one day… you’ll be part of the Umbra League.”
Sayaka smirked. “As if we have a choice.”
Nightfall – Ravenfall Unwinds
That night, inside the base’s upper decks…
Sayaka and Luce disappeared to the rooftop garden. The sky above them glowed with stars. They kissed slowly, then desperately.
Raiden and Erik, sharing a warm bath, pressed lips together, laughing between kisses. Then holding. Then more.
Avni and Lev retreated into their room. Clothes fell like petals. Whispers of “I missed you” and “You feel like home.” They melted into each other.
Dev and Saira, on the lounge couch, lips locked, her hands in his hair, his fingers tracing her spine. Just heat. Just connection.
Meanwhile—
Veer and Ishaan?
Playing cards. And throwing popcorn.
“While they’re all being horny warlords,” Ishaan groaned, “we’re here playing UNO.”
Veer grabbed the popcorn bowl. “Next mission, I’m seducing the enemy.”
“Bro, the only thing you’re seducing is sadness.”
They both screamed into the couch cushions.
“WE ARE SO SINGLE!”
