“No more secrets. No more mercy.”
Ravenfall HQ – 9:02 PM
Luce stood before the digital table, eyes shadowed by exhaustion but burning with resolve. His voice was low—but it held a power that cut through the fog of trauma still thick in the air.
“We end this tonight.”
Sayaka folded her arms. “About time.”
Luce tapped the map. “The afterparty’s cover is holding. So we move now. Here’s the plan.”
He pointed in rapid beats.
“Sayaka, Erik, Raiden, Lev — your target is Haruto. Infiltrate during the confusion. Tranqu him. Bag him. No deaths. I want him alive.”
Raiden grinned. “Oh, we’ll bring him. Might even gift wrap him.”
Sayaka looked sideways. “Try not to drop him on the way in this time.”
Raiden gave a mock gasp. “It was one building, Sayaka!”
Luce continued. “Ishaan, Avni — stick to the previous plan. You’ll prep the chopper and fly Haruto to the airstrip. Plane’s waiting.”
Avni nodded. “One question. What if Haruto pulls out some Frankenstein gadget from his spine?”
Ishaan raised a brow. “Then I unplug him. With a pipe.”
Luce smirked faintly. “Just make sure the chopper doesn’t blow up.”
Then he turned to the tech table.
“Veer. Dev. Saira. I want the cameras off the moment we breach. Scramble audio, loop visuals, jam every frequency.”
Veer grinned. “You got it. We’ll turn COMA into a blackout poetry slam.”
Saira deadpanned. “I hate when he talks like this.”
Dev, chewing on a cable tie: “I don’t. It’s art.”
Luce’s voice lowered. “I’m going alone to Haruto’s personal facility.”
The room fell silent.
Lev stepped forward. “No way. We just found out everything. You’re going back there alone?”
Erik added, sharp, “Do you even understand what it’s doing to us? Luce, he—he experimented on our parents. You want us to sit back?”
Luce turned to them, voice tight but calm.
“This isn’t revenge. It’s mercy. What’s inside that lab… isn’t alive. Not really.”
Lev clenched his jaw. “Still—”
“I said no,” Luce cut. “You’re my brothers. I’m not risking you.”
Avni crossed her arms. “One hour. If you’re not back, I don’t care if you’re mid-lightsaber duel with Haruto’s corpse—we are coming in.”
Ishaan raised a hand. “Correction: If he’s actually fighting a corpse, I’m going in with popcorn.”
Raiden sighed. “Can we not say corpse jokes before a kidnap mission?”
Luce smiled faintly, stepping toward the exit.
“Tell me once you’ve bagged him.”
Haruto's Compound – Midnight
The air was cold. The facility was too quiet. Luce moved like water—silent, unseen.
His earpiece crackled.
“Luce,” Veer said, “we’re in the system. Seraphim’s logs are opening. Buckle up.”
“Hit me,” Luce whispered.
Saira took over. “Seraphim is split into S-series and F-series. F-series were test parents. Carriers. Breeders.”
“Jesus,” Luce muttered.
“S-series… the children. Some born, some engineered. Luce... You weren’t just successful. You were the benchmark. Intelligence, resilience, emotion regulation—you weren’t just a miracle. You were the target design.”
He stared at the screen.

Luce whispered, “They used us like building blocks…”
“You’re the only S that made it,” Veer added. “They called you the crown project. Even VULTURE lists your DNA in its basecode.”
Then the screen glitched. New line.
PROJECT: VULTURE. STATUS: LOCKED.
“We found it,” Dev said. “Another project. Hidden, newer. Possibly a backup or evolution of Seraphim.”
But then—
“Wait—no—something’s wrong,” Saira said. “We’ve got incoming—breach in firewall—”
A figure entered the lab.
Lithe. Moving too fast. Masked. Female.
Before Luce could speak, she slammed a device into the console. The files began wiping.
“Who the hell?!” Veer barked.
“Luce, MOVE!” Saira shouted.
He leapt forward—too late. The device exploded. Smoke clouded the chamber. The woman vanished.
Luce coughed, staring at the console. One final word flashed before going dark:
D-SERIES VAULT: RAIDED 12 HOURS AGO.
“…What?” he muttered.
He ran.
D-Series Vault
Empty.
Not even blood.
Only a message etched into the wall, like a scar.
WE TOOK WHAT MATTERS – D
Luce froze.
Someone else is in the game.
Meanwhile – The Ravenfall Chaos
“I hate him,” Erik said, pacing. “I hate him for going alone.”
“I’m going after him,” Lev said.
“Dude, we literally promised,” Ishaan reminded. “One hour. I am timing it.”
“Timing it?!” Raiden snapped. “Our brother is in a death lab and you’re cracking jokes?!”
“Yup,” Ishaan said. “That’s how I handle grief. And anxiety. And breakfast.”
Sayaka dragged Haruto out of a closet.
He was unconscious, drooling.
“Here’s our prize,” she said, kicking his side. “Doctor Doom’s in dreamland.”
“I’m calling him Butcher Daddy,” Ishaan declared.
“No,” Sayaka said immediately.
“Yes,” Ishaan repeated louder.
“Guys—!” Dev screamed in their ears. “Luce’s signal just went dark!”
Avni stood. “I’m flying. Now.”
“Wait!” Raiden pointed. “Look!”
A black bike.
Chased by five jeeps.
Luce, bloodied, driving like a madman.
“WHAT. THE. FUCK.” Ishaan shrieked. “WHY IS HE BRINGING THE WHOLE ARMY?”
“OPEN THE RAMP!” Sayaka shouted.
Bike screeched up a launch ramp—straight into the open rear bay of the chopper.
Luce leapt. Slammed into the cargo wall.
“Miss me?” he grunted.
Sayaka dragged him in. “Idiot.”
“You good?” Erik asked, grabbing his arm.
“I saw something,” Luce whispered. “Someone’s moving before us.”
“Who?” Lev asked.
Luce didn’t answer.
COMA Summit – Umbra Island
Elda stood, lips tight.
Sylus paced.
Gianluca’s holo flickered.
Selene stood in silence.
“Viktor didn’t show,” Elda muttered. “Why?”
“He's on some kind of mission,” Selene said. “That’s what they said.”
But Elda’s eyes narrowed.
“Send a Blackwatch unit. Quietly. Pyronox HQ.”
Later that night, a single message arrived on her secure line.
VIKTOR REZNOV. DECEASED. FOUND IN PRIVATE CABIN. DIED APPROX. 2 MONTHS AGO.
Elda dropped her glass.
Sylus froze.
“…Then who the hell is leading Pyronox now?”
