Yuni entered the hall of transcendance and found that it was repaired and seemingly there was another path that she could reach ' That's the control room ' Yuni thought .
It might be related to her admin access , but considering that would be cheating to operate the game through that kind of admin access , she thought .
' Maybe instead I'll just update it to optimize the challenge , like make em more difficult ' Yuni first decided to finish the delirium quest of expanding the world system's population and finally returned and headed to the control room , in which she made the updates .
' I think it's a bit costly to make challenge rooms on my own , but since Delirium has grown quite big , I don't think it ain't impossible for me to make challenge rooms here ' Yuni started her work as she found the resource that this Mir would use to make updates .
' So the power they use is called Steps , probably related to their analogy of turning trials into paths ' There were some numbers that showed their step rate gain and Yuni found herself as the top contributor of the steps .
' And from the looks of it , each paths have different step rate gains . The harder the paths become , the more steps gained from this walker ' Yuni thought that maybe she should make the update so that anyone can make their challenges harder .
' Although you can't really make blind harder unless you make it so that it becomes impossible to visualize things ' Yuni thought that might be difficult for her if she were to rid herself of the sight gained through the mind's eye , but wondered how that could be done .
' Maybe it's possible to take the blindness of a blind person to lose the ability to visualize . But that also requires me to override my behaviour , probably not gonna be good , but guess there are going to be some things I can only be born with '
Yuni checked the blind population who are already not able to visualize and are participating in the challenge of aphantasia ' I'm sure there are other paths that can give a lot , but forcing a lot of people to be born with it will be detrimental to the fame , so I should probably tell Mir to slow down on paths given to newborns '
Yuni continued making the updates and set the number of people who can participate in them ' This Ordo could've gotten a lot as the admin , but I guess having some kind of reward is much better for them, but doesn't that make Mir much older than Welt because they were self-aware when they were about to get Ordo as the admin ? '
Yuni had found that even now , Ordo has been walking on different paths to strengthen themselves through the connection Mir has with them , but they frequently leave those paths ' Maybe it would be better to do something about that guy '
Yuni consumed a lot of Steps as resources to accomplish her updates , giving Mir fewer things to update during their hibernation " What happened ? "
"You had too many steps or maybe you don't have enough space" Mir was surprised to find Yuni accessing the control room through Delirium , but also making several updates .
" Hey , what are you doing ? " "Updates . I finished my delirium update , so I plan to use up all the steps here so that we can make the step rate gain increase , just in case you get too used to me being the main source of food"
Mir was surprised to see the Step output that Yuni was making by just existing "I've also expanded your storage , you should've done that a long time ago , the systems I managed had a huge storage system" " It's a waste to do that . I'm always present in the control room , so I never bothered to update the storage "
"Which also makes progress slow because some updates consume more resources than the storage is capable of containing" Yuni said as she relates to how Naul would effectively make use of the system's exclusive resources .
' But I think I'll need more if I want to update their system and improve step rate gain , I doubt a tribal world like this would listen to me if I wasn't the great walker . But I am , so I can permanently establish the benefits of walking difficult paths '
" Can you please just stay here and manage everything ? " "Ironic for a system that benefits from the difficulties people encounter every day to indulge"
" I also walk some paths too , even though my body isn't like yours . My life itself is difficult to see since I never expand the storage , so I would always make different paths here and there "

Yuni visited Rein after learning how she could return , but before she could confront and give Rein a scolding through the sound filter . She was returned to House with the magic circle fading , after she was unsummoned by Rein . Annoyed by it , she makes a mental note to scold Rein after all this was over .
' Man , that was an adventure ' Yuni couldn't get used to the lack of prompts that show her progress , as she remembered how much each system would pester her once their attention was turned to her and hears .
" Ohh , so these are your familiars " Mir's voice echoed through Yuni and she was not surprised ' I would have to create another account just to get away from the system I got admin access to , but it's a bit of a waste , plus it's been fun '
Yuni then realized that she had been enjoying the challenges more , but then wondered about this cooperative creation of challenges "Are you the one who made delirium ?"
" No , it was that Welt that made it , I'm not the only one who makes all the paths and as much as I hate that thief , they're good at what they make . In fact , it's weird how they suddenly got really good when we made this cooperative creation "
' Must be because Welt has experience from previous playthroughs that not many remember ' Yuni thinks of Rein and how she was doing , but then thinks of her other two children , who see more than the ones she just came in contact with .
' Ceil is probably searching for the backstory herself and Zaun is somewhere looking to level up his account ' "Aren't you supposed to do things ?" " I am , by being close to you , I can gather steps and since you expanded my storage without permission , I'm going to stick around much longer until it's almost full "
' I do need to understand how a system thinks , but Mir is very different compared to Welt , but that doesn't mean it's not worth listening to them to get some references that can be used ' "Do what you like"
As Yuni said that she suddenly felt more of her challenges increasing but because of her already weakened stats , the change didn't require much to adjust " Thank you for the food Admin " ' So this is what will happen if I allow a system to have self-autonomy '
Yuni tried to visualize her surroundings but couldn't see much figuring that Mir had caused that to happen by adding one of the challenges ' Now I am much blinder ' Yuni was very annoyed how her sight was being restrained but with the challenge on , she now has an excuse to bring in more of her experience '
" So Admin , what are you going to do now ? " Mir asked , wondering how much they could push Yuni to get more step points from her and she answered "I plan to head to the main tree of the demon realm to gauge how big Welt's system is"
" You won't find it " Mir blatantly said "I won't ?" " Yep , it's been like that all of a sudden . I haven't explored much out because it's pretty big , but from the looks of it . The tree you're talking about has been gone and all we're left with is a massive branch , which is small compared to the tree "
Yuni was surprised to learn that fact and then thought of how she could take advantage of this situation ' I think I should expand the scope of my plans , but that means more resources ' Yuni went to look for Balance to see how well they are doing .
' House is probably resting right now ' Yuni visited the colosseum and thanks to the assistance from Mir , who provided a compass for her , she found Balance . But before asking , Mir responded " Little system who stole your path ? "
" Who are you ? " while Balance was surprised by Mir's voice and this sensation that told them that Mir was an elder . Yuni was primarily more annoyed by how Mir had transformed themselves into a respectable elder after admitting to being a lazy and cheap couch potato beforehand .
"Sorry , they are a system that I became the admin for , they will be staying with me for as long as they like" " Yes and as for you young system . Who stole your path to greatness " Yuni having experience with systems , still has no idea how to get the attention of one that acts on their own .
So with the experience of a mother , she grabbed Mir's incorporeal body and shoved her question to Mir "Can you explain what you meant by Balance's path is stolen ? Is this related to how Balance seems to have hit their limit and how that ceiling being lowered seems to be similar to someone stealing their talent"
Mir pushed Yuni away " First off , you strangely have a lot of understanding about their condition and what is with your references , it feels ... Dark " ' So systems with self autonomy can sense somethings maybe Welt can read minds because they are more developed through the regressions . '
"You're not wrong about my references , I came from a world with a system that's modified so greatly it is probably unrecognizable from its original form , which is probably where you feel that darkness in . And as for how I know about Balance's stolen potential or talent was because I drank a potion that stole such talent , the state it put the firstborns in the orphanage I grew in"
" I was right , that is dark even without one of them being mentioned " "So explain how you can tell ?" Mir sighed and thought through their memory " There is a way to steal the paths of others , but the thing is , the paths they stole were actually a person's talents "
' Oh , that's interesting ' "How ?" " It's based on the old system , see before I gained self-autonomy . There are plenty of beliefs about the difficulties in life . Being blind doesn't mean you get a reward , it just means your life will be difficult . And my people don't really bother with the rewards "
' I sense some depressing stories coming along ' "I've had my hands on how systems are made , they are supposed to generate an objective which their functions are centered around , depending on the development of culture"
" Yes , you got that right and my people were constantly suffering . They would be born blind , deaf , without a limb or two and some brain problems . You get the picture and because of that , I had to capitalize on this and started finding sustenance , which I call step points for each path of pain "
"And none of them had a reward for the people" " Exactly , it's basically like "you're born with this genetic defect . Good luck buddy , cause that's not going away" . But society somehow developed and to justify their suffering , they said it was meant to make them stronger . It did though , but not a lot of them like it , which is where a new tradition appeared "
Yuni already pieced the story together due to how often she listened to Ceil's theories about the lore of the world systems " Ordo was part of a tribe that decided to take other people's burdens . This tradition kinda turned into my world's own magic system , you take away a person's difficulty to make it yours "
"But" " That's right , there is a but . But in doing so , you're also taking a portion of their talent . By the way , when Ordo was born , I was already searching for an admin , so seeing a talentless individual like them taking on the burdens and paths of others and still generating a lot of steps really made me want them "
"Wait , how did you create those challenges then ? I don't think I was able to make much with the steps" " Of course , that's the case . It's kinda why I have a church that provides "healing" " ' So that's why the church seemed to have similar code as Mir's system '
" Now , back to the real matter at hand , someone has stolen Balance's path and the fact that it's from a young system makes me wonder who could do it . Usually I'd accuse myself since I've also been thinking of ways to get Welt's path because it looks like every time I looked at them , it keeps growing bigger "
' That sounds a lot like foreshadowing ' Yuni then remembered that she had Fame on and hoped that it didn't record it , but found that none of it was and breathed a sigh of relief . But Ceil was actually reading through their conversation .
After finding an opportunity to send her lore gathering program , she has been listening and has understood what Yuni was dealing with ' That sounds really bad mom ' she also hasn't gotten any sleep as she was busy digesting everything that Yuni has been hiding .
' But that also explains the feeling of old age I found in this world . I thought I needed to get myself checked ' Ceil sighed , knowing that nothing was wrong with her and that her four years of experience was not failing her and continued paying attention to the conversation as she took notes aside .
' So this part about Welt gaining more and more potential could mean this regression plan of theirs is shrinking in terms of time frame ' Ceil tapped onto the file in which she plans to encrypt and send it over to her library .
Mir was more focused on Balance because they wanted to know who could've taken Balance's path . Not because they wanted to catch the culprit , but more like .
"Wait , why are you concerned about Balance's path ?" Yuni could sense Mir dodging the question and forced that question on to them " Fine , I'll tell . See if Balance continues the path of a system , I can get a lot of steps and I'll even do you one better and sponsor them . I think I have a few paths that can help them "
' So in the end they are just some glutinous system ' "Balance are you fine with that ?" Balance sensing Mir's status worries a bit " I'm uncertain , I've heard and read learning new things from this conversation , that confuses me "
"Don't worry , you can relax with your current life . I'll stop Mir" Yuni turned to Mir's general direction " Fine , since you technically own them , I won't do anything unless you let me " they left it at that .
' So I'll have to do something about that too , I've already sent away the files anyway , the problem is , what happens to me when this regression occurs ? ' Ceil was worried that they'd be destroyed because turning time doesn't sit well for young people .
' I'd better look into how to live in this world and avoid the reset button maybe just helping mom but that's hard so I'll leave that to her '

Yuni got out of House to explore , but with her senses being restricted , Mir had to give Yuni the compass they made , which she was fiddling with while keeping its operations active .
' I wish I could turn this compass to search for treasure , but the best I can do is take a person's path . Really complements the world system that centers around walking these paths '
She recalled that Ordo had stolen other's difficult paths to grow stronger and thought she could do the same ' But the thing is it could also steal the inheritance of others '
Yuni was looking forward to doing something like this but because taking another's inheritance means you have to contribute a lot just to say you didn't get lucky Yuni put the thought aside .
' What am I doing ? I don't even have the technique to take other people's path of difficulty . Although I have taken their talents and the like through that inheritance potion . And it's kinda similar to how Ordo got stronger '
She started to compare herself with Ordo and then thought that maybe she should investigate the matter of how her children were made or born ' At the moment , I have no idea how the kids are born . I just think that they're born with the system cutting pieces of me and leaving the soul out , so I could make another account '
Yuni then turned to how the systems were made through some form of belief ' I should probably have some debates with that now that I learned some info about how the admin seats function' the collector's notes have been inspiring in giving Yuni an idea of the admin seat and with the new information she got through Mir , she thought .
' Maybe the resources we've been using are the talent ? ' Yuni was utterly confused about how that could be sustainable for a system because she already had an idea of how development works , no matter what is being developed .
' Could it be similar to how Mir grows ? Some systems do tend to have similar objectives and I've just gotten a credible enough source like Mir to confirm many of my theories . So maybe it taxes the growth of an account for its own gain , like the talent and penalty game . Adversity was implemented to showcase talent '
" What are you thinking ? " Mir asked while Yuni walked "I'm thinking about how systems function . I have a lot of admin accounts in many systems" " I can tell " "Which made me curious about them" ' Maybe that's where Ceil got her personality '
Mir noticed Yuni's self-talk and asked " Have you been talking to yourself constantly ? " "Duh , who else was I supposed to talk to when I can only shut up" " That is true " "What are you here for anyways ?"
" I came here to make sure that you make a lot of steps for me so here is a manual on how to steal other people's paths but I set it so that you can only get the difficult paths "
' Of course they did ' Yuni still accepted it since she had a feeling she needed to be extremely strong just in case or at least make sure she has plenty of challenges that she can remove at the endgame .
' but how long would that take , my first account , which is my children , was probably the strongest account I have because I spent a really long time there . '
Yuni thought about the time to gain enough power , but knowing the vastness of this world , she knew it's gonna take a lot of effort just to get to a lot of power that can rival her first account .
' There is always a way ' Yuni found two arrows , one for her destination and the other from Mir searching for a difficult path for Yuni to take from ' First , let's just follow Mir's direction , I have no idea how to get there , but that world system's greed is too obvious . They probably assist me enough '
Because Yuni cannot see or use her mind's eye , she was at the mercy of the compass for directions . She proceeded to continue walking through the desolate lands of the demon realm and followed the compass's instructions .
Eventually she followed a series of complex steps and processed her senses to register the sound of ground moving and following the compass she walk down some stairs .
' Ohh this is fun ' " hurry up and get down the stairs already " Mir said , out of nowhere being so impatient with how slow Yuni was " Alright now there are going to be traps but I'm not gonna tell you "
' Maybe I can classify Mir as an impatient god or maybe they have been starved for too long ' Yuni steps into the trap floor as she senses needles about to poke out and jumps up , but hears the same sound on the ceiling .
' Okay if you don't want to be discovered , at least make it impossible to reach ' meanwhile Mir was watching as the ceiling's needles thrusted done , but the ones aimed for Yuni were frozen in place .
' She is good , she could get the broken legacy behind these traps sooner than I thought ' Yuni first assessed her problem now that she was standing atop needles with the one above her about to break through the ice jamming it .
' Gotta think gotta think ' Yuni summoned her rusted crown and degrades the needles and swinging a small hammer to break them as she falls dodging the spikes on the ceiling ' It's a little overkill to have little to no gap for the passage '
Yuni used the rusted crown to break the needles and proceeded to the next passage and backed away after sensing the many magical blades ' So someone clearly has a backdoor , but I can't exactly find it and that greedy system wouldn't make my walk that easy '
Yuni turned to Gyan and started to disable it and quickly went through the passage after canceling them . And found herself at a deep hole with floating platforms and upon passing through a platform Yuni's danger sesnes prompted her to react as several blades appeared around her and thrusted to kill as she dashed and drop to another platform for even more to appear .
' Now this is a real trial ' Yuni jumped away to search for the platform for rest , but she found nothing and the broken-up debris reformed into the platform and this area's defense mechanisms triggered again as they spawned another round of blades to thrust .
Yuni prepared a spell and as soon as the blades thrusted into the platforms , causing them to break , she cast the spell , allowing her to descend quickly as she hit and broke another platform ' So it's one of those things in which they repair the platforms upon breaking . '
Her descent was now slower , but the blades appeared faster , they aimed for her as she equipped some wings to kill her falling momentum , allowing her enough space to swing her breaker weapon , shattering a single blade .
Yuni sensed the same repairing function on the broken blade as she fell and wondered what kind of inheritance she was going to get as she descended down . More blades appeared , but instead of surrounding and attacking as once , it was a constant output that thrusted these blades .
Yuni had to summon two strong daggers and parry them as they appeared . She was observant of their appearance and sensed a spear that appeared with a much bigger danger risk .
' numbers can also be deceiving , hope you know that you ain't fooling me ' Yuni used magic to push herself away and tested the durability by striking it with her dagger . But upon striking , she was given a sudden condition causing her body to shake .
' Is this fear ? no it's just the recoil of striking something hard probably ' Yuni threw a wired hook to a wall and pulled herself to it as another spear appeared , which she jumped off to reach the bottom .

Fazor walked towards House and knocked on the door , only for Damo to appear " House , who is this ? " Damo asked , sensing the dense demon essence on Fazor as House responded " Oh Master's guest ? I guess that explains that bed he has "
" May I come in ? " " Hmm sure House , can you take care of him ? I'm still busy " House took the role as Fazor followed House's instructions and found himself back in the room he woke up in to get his crown back .
" Master is still out , so please stay out of trouble " " I will " Fazor said while he thought about where they are ' They traveled really far . Is it because they wanted to find the edge ? '
