' demons aren't like that , they want power and with this world being unoccupied by them , the demon king army can simply rule over this world with the original inhabitants as slaves . They generally hate their homeland not just because of the rowdy demons but other things too '

The storybook doesn't record everything , which Karol was relieved about because it meant that they don't know a lot about her . She goes in wondering if Yuni was intentionally keeping some information from her ' She definitely learned something since she talked to the angels but why not tell me '
She felt like Yuni didn't trust her a lot because she was not a permanent familiar and thought of Damo ' Wait , maybe I should've asked him ' she turned back and looked at the massive and beautiful cathedral .
' That's weird I don't feel anything Holy inside ' she compared the aesthetics and design ' No wait , I do feel something holy but something that's supposed to be familiar ' Karol walked into the church and looked at the statue .
' Is this the god this world worship ? It doesn't look as angelic as the angels ... then again , most biblically accurate angels don't look beautiful , but what's with the statue of the weighing scales '
The giant weighing scale had a plate that was extremely lowered with a noticably bright light compared to the one on the elevated plate , as the demons had too much power and only the little blessing they received from killing the elves was given out .
Karol thinks about the lore she learned through Yuni reading the world's storybook ' Maybe they are worshipping the balance ? Worshipping a figurehead like this sounds like they are the true neutral party , but they only help the side that's losing ' Karol went forward , curious about the statue .
She couldn't understand the ideals of this religion ' I've only learned about the religion I was in , hopefully they're not like a cult ' " Child , which side are you on " Karol was shocked to not sense a presence and looked around .
" Who ? " " Me " Karol turned to the statue and wondered why it was talking and answered herself " Not sure I'm a hero and a demon , but aren't there any priest or nun in this place , looks like a church "
" There is no such thing , they cannot be near me unless there are demons with them which doesn't happen very often because of the perceived danger they feel "
" Who are you ? " " The balance " " The balance ? " " Yes , I was born from the desire to face the invaders on equal ground " Karol thinks about how Yuni had described the balance " Then would you have helped the demons if they were losing ? "
" Yes " " That's pretty messed up " " The population wanted to have equal grounds and so I gave it to them " ' I remember talking about this subject in college '
" Equality is fine and all , but why are there still nobles ? " " Because they worked very hard , my power doesn't affect them at all . It only appears when someone is declared the demon king which comes in the form of you heroes "
Karol thought that the balance doesn't seem so bad anymore and continues the conversation " Then why is there no one here ? Some dust is starting to collect by now " " Because no one is allowed to stand on these ground if they are pure demons or the original population of this world , you are an exception "
" Wait doesn't that mean that Yuni planned for me to be a demon ? But then she got that information after I became a demon . What else can you do ? If you can balance the power between the demons and the heroes , don't you know everything that happens ? " " Though I can evaluate the power difference between the invaders and inhabitants , I cannot know everything "
" Can you tell me why you didn't bless me ? " " It was simple , because the people of this world are controlling me " Karol was surprised to hear something like that and thought back to Yuni's book .
" Why did you listen ? " " Because they have a good reason to , they needed to control the heroes who could go rogue but that meant limiting their skills until they can trust them " " Oh man I did not plan to hear some big conspiracy "
" I had a choice in the matter too halfling , I cannot maintain too many blessings " Karol looked at the cracks that were forming on the balance " The kingdoms know that they can't drag it for long , that's why in every generation they always try to make the war end as soon as possible so I can recover for the next ressurection "
" Do the angels know too ? " " Of course they do which is why they try their best to manage the balance , once the war is over my plates can finally be rested " Karol looked at the two plates each with some water that provides a view of the war in the perspective of both sides .
' But Haggis told us to come to this place , why would they want to do that ? Karol didn't like the feeling of the unknown and leave as she had entered the place .
' It's nighttime already ? ' Karol felt her instincts scream at her , she duck and dodged arrows aimed for her head ' Assassins ? ' Karol transformed into a wolf and rushed out of the town . Her instincts pointed her the dangers as she dodged them and reached House .

[ Creating Delirium quest based on surrounding characters ]
A lucid dream only happens when a person realises its a dream its a state where the concious mind explores a dream . But Lucidity doesn't mix well with dreams , any dreamer will assume a character , they gain information they wouldn't know or have their personality transformed during the dream .
And that's what the first hero that Yuni fought was " Argh " The first was thrown to the side as he mistakenly thought Yuni for Lixa " You accursed demon who spread hunger " ' That was what I did before ' Yuni kills the demon as their dreaming soul was taken and their demon essence taken into Yuni's inventory .
Yuni thinks of the previous demon kings as the second hero generation appeared " You who stole our technology and magic will be killed " the hero was killed and the third generation appeared " I will take back all the weapons you stole from the dwarves "
Then the fourth " This is for the land and people you poisoned " The fifth " this is so that people can walk the land safely " and finally the sixth generation ' No they don't exist yet , they're still up there and the demons probably still don't have anything '
Chapter title Declaration of Fame
Yuni creates a competition in which all of the demons start to enter the Rilvor's castle . They flooded into the castle and here Delirium reenacted all epilogues of the world's story .
As she killed the previous five generations and finally the sixth generation was next but that epilogue has yet to come .
" Into the castle " Haggis kicked the door and there in the throne room was Rilvor " A new generation of heroes " " You invasion will not reach past this point " Haggis said , playing his role as a hero .
" Where is that girl this book speaks of ? " " A book doesn't talk " A player yelled at the demon king to make a fool out of him " She's busy and I'm sure you wouldn't know " the players starts to take on their formation to attack the demon king .
' I don't know what she is doing right now , but I should make this fast , who knows what can happen in this new future of this world '
" ATTACK " mages fired spells towards Rilvor , who used a shield to block it . The heavy weapons heroes attacked the shield and the gap created gave way for rogues and archers to fire there attacks to poison Rilvor .
" This poison is too diluted " Rilvor steps on the ground creating uneven ground as light from the demon realm's magic density grew " KILL HIM DON'T LET HIM BREAK THROUGH THE DEMON REALM " Haggis yelled and threw a spear towards Rilvor .
" Hmph " Rilvor summoned a giant magic hand to swipe it , but the spear pierced through it , Rilvor quickly dodged it as the heroes took advantage of this gap and threw all their attacks " Keep firing " Rilvor waved his hand to blow the weak attacks and stomped on the ground again to shake the heroes .
Yuni does the same as she tricks the dreaming demons into assuming the uneven ground " DIE RILVOR " Mages attacked together to form a powerful magic spell as Rilvor was tied and forced to remain in a circle .
The magic was casted and Rilvor was attacked by a grand spell which shot a pillar in the demon realm spawn . As the warriors were glad to be able to fight hand on hand against Rilvor without any disadvantages . The demons fighting Yuni was thinking something else while delirium made them all think that they were the heroes of the current generation .
' We're losing ' no matter how they attacked , Yuni kept dodging their attacks , Spells that fired in several directions lacked unity , allowing Yuni to dodge them one by one , it was the thing that demons lack , which was a leader .
' If only ' Yuni distorted their senses to allow herself to keep up with their attacks ' With a character like this it's becoming harder and harder to dodge everything '
She was having difficulties too she had to focus all the illusion catalyst's firepower within one area only as more and more demons were able to escape the maze and join the battle .
' We're not strong enough ' the demons thought together with the effect of Delirium forcing them to be immersed into the character of the heroes above ' I'm hungry ' a few thought as they entered the battle field and slowly lost the thought as they were immersed into their respective roles .
Yuni tricked their senses more as the demons true thoughts started to emerge and conflict with the thoughts made by Delirium ' She needs to die ' ' Looks like the effect of the ashes of hunger is growing , I bet the books are being eaten by the people who borrowed the books good thing I got all the originals '
' Please oh please , let us win ' the demons who only had a king , started to pray and Yuni listened to their thoughts satisfied , as more and more demons charged in to attack her ' The miners never resorted to cannibalism and the ashes of hunger don't encourage that behaviour , which is proving to be useful in times like this '
Miniature attacks flew to Yuni and she cast counterspell after counterspell and drank some mana potion digesting their effects preventing sobriety from being affected . She casted an illusion and jump while the illusion accelerated much faster .
The demons fired their ranged attacks at the illusion and Yuni stomped on the ground with Rilvor doing the same " You will die here hero " Rilvor said as Haggis looked at everyone who was getting weaker .
He takes out a sword and raised his weighing scales " Balance give me all the heroes the blessings " Haggis's sword glew and he charged at Rilvor " You think you're the first hero ? YOU WILL FAIL "
Rilvor casted a grand magic just like Lixa and Haggis used dark magic to blind Rilvor ' What manner of magic is this ' Rilvor tried to take out the darkness but it acted like a smoke that clouded his eyes .
Rilvor dropped the magic and backed away as Haggis used the sword's blessings from the Balance to synergize several defensive blessings and blocked the attack " I see that you live " Haggis looked up unconcerned by the many eyes that were connected to Rilvor .
' It's a good thing she gave me this book ' " CELA focus on attacking " Haggis threw the sword to Cela " Buffers direct all your buffs to her " Haggis yelled and clasped his hands to spread a dark smoke .
Cela dashed towards Rilvor while the dark smoke weakened the demon eye effects enough that the sobriety challenge was able to be used to block of a few status effect .
Rilvor threw more attacks towards Cela as she used the sword and slashed them using the blessed skills counterspell to cancel magic attacks . Haggis destroyed an eye , inflicting mental damage on Rilvor as he continued firing magic towards Cela , who continued to slash them .
Haggis took control of the dark smoke and made them all converge to the nearest eye to disable them . Rilvor tried to bring them towards him but Haggis gripped the darkness and gave the control to other mages " Hold onto the eyes "
Every burden he lent to the mages stopped their buffs as Cela continues her attacks Rilvor was slowly overpowering her " RILVOR " Haggis yelled getting his aggro and Cela took that opening to land a stab through Rilvor's armor and assumed that Rilvor was slained " HE'S STILL ALIVE !!! "
Rilvor strikes with a wave of magic pushing the sword out and healing his wound but his release of his magic caused him to lose most of it . Haggis was hit by the recoil of having to cover some of the magic eyes and the same was said for the mages he passed the burden to .
Cela , Haggis and Rilvor were all tired from the fight as Rilvor's body trembled trying to break the ground to widen the opening to the demon realm ' It's over someone just has to hit him , it was Karol who did it last time but she's all the way at the worship grounds of the balance '
Haggis gathered all of his strength and Rilvor sensed what was occuring below blinded by it assuming that it was Silga who was causing it due to what the demons were experiencing . His will was starting to the feel the dangers of comfort as he was slowly going to give up .
Haggis didn't sense what Rilvor was thinking , he hasn't even read what Yuni was doing down below and grabbed the blessed sword . It starts to heal him as his sobriety challenge disappeared due to the amount and a penalty was imposed onto him ' I can feel all the effects towards me at once '
The several healings and poison that were nullified was flooding his body at the same time . Healing and poisoning it giving him several resistance to poison and healing , he grew weary from the assault in his sense as the rest of the hero reached out to try and heal him .
A few gave him some fatigue healing , which helped him a bit , a few took the burden of the pains and Haggis finally arrived by Rilvor , who was on his knees ' Kill him already ' unlike Rilvor , who was comforted by what he sensed the heroes were in despair and couldn't choose comfort as despair kept them awake .
" kill him already " a hero who was on the floor said with a weakened voice and Haggis lifted up the blade as his hands shooked and stabbed it into Rilvor's heart .

The players who heard that were glad to hear it , as many fainted while some didn't feel the pressure now that the demon king was gone and relaxed just enough to stay awake . The balance retracted its blessing from the heroes now that no demon king was present .
' Finally but first I need to check what she is doing ' Haggis takes the book as Rilvor could no longer feel his heart beast .
Chapter title Lixa's plan
Lixa , the first ruler of the demonkind , had starved as she had already consumed so many souls and demon essence . Plants didn't grow at that time and the land was mostly filled with metal and lifeless lands .
The life cycle wasn't as virtous as the earthly realm she had long forgotten , the cycle was tainted of blood of each demonkind . But she broke free of that cycle , which is now causing her a lot of suffering , so she consumed a substantial amount of power and permanently broke the realm between walls opening to this world .
Haggis was confused as to why he was reading about Lixa's story instead of Yuni but recalled the previous chapters which talked about how Yuni experienced the memories but never elaborated anything other than the begginning and the end of Lixa's memories .
She found it the earthly realm teemming with life and started devouring everything . Haggis kept reading the text as quickly as possible and finally reached the end .
Lixa broke out of the ground that kept her and started to find a way back intending to kill more demons to come back as the demon king of hunger again .

Yuni cast her illusions as more and more demons watched her clone herself .
' One was hard and now there's more ? ' Yuni could sense the very thing that she needed to happen and the balance at the earthly realm could feel a part of it coming out ' I here more prayers of fairness '
Yuni tracked the power of balance and waited for the right time for it to appear ' There's a lot of bugs and loopholes I can take advantage it's not my fault they don't patch it up ' Yuni threw the illusion catalyst and targets a very weak demon .

Yuni attacked the weak demon and feels the blessings of balance trying to bless her as it suddenly was dispelled by N/A and flew to her illusion catalyst . Yuni was satisfied with the blessing and used it quickly as the demons suddenly turned to each other and killed each other .
Yuni could feel the balance's blessing fade as the demons were decreasing ' I won't be needing the blessings anyways ' Yuni starts making hand seals as she casted the second demon king's spell , which brought her from the demon realm to the earthly realm .
The essence of demons was being transformed as Yuni continues the hand seals , the souls that lie were starting to be taken by Yuni . Haggis looked at the notification as the quest appeared canceling their return back to the game .

Each demon king had a speciality that they bring into this world , the first bought hunger , the second stole knowledge , the third stole weapons , the fourth brought poison , the fifth brought disasters and the sixth would've successfully conquered the world according to the failed quest Haggis participated before the regression which ended the storybook of the demon king and heroes .

' No , that means she's receiving it ' the statue of balance faded from its place and Karol looked at the book with a frown " Sht thank god that I decided to be her temporary familiar , she's not gonna stay here , is she ? "
Karol wasn't sure about staying near Yuni on one side she's the demon king now and on the other there are the heroes . Yuni sat on the throne receiving an item that deeply relates to her title ' Let's end this story , shall we '
