Analysis
The episode was filled with light-hearted scenes with huge amounts of comedy. It also served as a tribute, albeit indirectly, to the late Elvis Presley. Other details will be mentioned in the analysis.
The scene begins with light-hearted music accompanied by a high-pitched Japanese flute. At the Hokage headquarters, Tsunade informs Ino about the details of the mission at her office. She said, “Your next mission is for the daughter of an affluent feudal lord who is looking for a body double. I don’t know where she heard about you, but it turns out you’re her spitting image. She was pretty adamant; she said she wouldn’t work with anyone else but you.” Moreover, since everyone was busy with other missions, Tsunade appointed Naruto to assist Ino in her mission. Afterwards, Ino and Naruto headed off to see Princess Fuku’s residence.
Princess Fuku is meeting her fiancé for the very first time. She is hesitant to appear to him in person, thinking that she looks unattractive because she is overweight, and she binges on snacks to relieve stress. When Ino and Naruto arrived at Princess Fuku’s residence, they had a perplexed look on their faces because she was overweight. Moreover, while the princess was conversing with Ino and Naruto, she showed them a picture of herself before she gained weight. In that picture, she was the spitting image of Ino Yamanaka. She also said that her father hired a matchmaker and that they are brokering an arranged marriage for her to her prospective husband, Chikara from the Land of Udon. Furthermore, since she was stressed about meeting her potential husband, she was eating too much, which caused her to gain weight. She even tried eating supplements to lose weight, but they were ineffective; hence why she hired Ino to compel her fiancé to marry her. The princess is also confident that while Ino finishes her mission, she will take the supplement known as Substitution Slender to help her lose weight before the wedding. In other words, the princess has no intention of exercising to lose weight.
She hires Ino Yamanaka, who looks exactly like the princess except for the one obvious difference, to take her place and win her fiancé’s (who bears a strong resemblance to Elvis Presley’s) heart. Ino got dressed up as the princess while Naruto sat beside her at the residence. While they were waiting, the fiancé arrived with a dramatic entrance. First, the lights were turned off to show different kinds of colours flashing in the dark. Second, a girl announced her fiancé’s arrival by tossing red petals in the air. Last, an electric guitar playing in the background resembles Elvis Presley’s music. Afterwards, the fiancé revealed that he is overweight; his demeanour and even the way he spoke are like Elvis Presley’s. Moreover, he arrived with other workers from his land who were praising him. Therefore, this dramatic entrance by the fiancé presents a sense of situational irony in the sense that what happened, which was his being overweight, is the opposite of what was expected, which was that Ino and Naruto expected him to be a slim and handsome man.
Ino tries to behave like a princess worthy of the man’s admiration, but she finds his flamboyant displays of affection unbearable. After witnessing the fiancé’s appearance, Ino couldn’t believe that the princess would fall for an overweight man, which also shows situational irony. Moreover, in disbelief at what they saw, Naruto even went outside to ask the princess if that was her fiancé, and when she confirmed that it was him, Naruto came back and told Ino. Therefore, Ino is stuck trying to complete her mission.
Ino finds his flamboyant display of affection unbearable to the extent that when he gets close to her, she feels uncomfortable. The fiancé then started to tap dance with a flower in his mouth and, afterwards, tried to give Ino (disguised as the princess) a flower. Her reaction to his action was funny because, at first, she had a stunned look on her face, freaked out, and left the room. So, to release her frustrations, she was punching at a wall outside. Afterwards, she goes to see the princess to convince her that the fiancé is not right for her, but instead, she instructs Ino to finish her mission.
Naruto, frustrated by the mission’s slow progress, takes matters into his own hands by transforming into the princess himself. His interference upsets Ino and the real princess, and he accidentally reveals the real princess. The reason why Ino was upset was not only because he transformed into the princess himself, but also because he was behaving provocatively in front of the prince. For instance, Naruto’s actions left the fiancé and his crew shocked when Naruto suggested that he could loosen the sash that he was wearing. So, when Ino saw this while hiding under the floor, she resorted to drastic measures. First, she made a noise, saying that the ceiling was swarming with bugs. Second, while everyone was distracted, Ino opened the floor, used Mind Destruction Jutsu on Naruto, and took him. While the prince and the workers are wondering where the princess is, Ino is reprimanding Naruto under the floor while shaking him vigorously.
Afterwards, Ino took Naruto outside, tied him up around a tree, and reprimanded him. In response, Naruto, disguised as the princess, said, “Look, I’ve skimmed through enough of Pervy Sage’s novels to know this is the kind of thing that works on guys, okay?” Ino responded, saying, “I can’t believe you would stoop to such a disgusting level!” Then she punched him in the face. The external conflict between the two of them helps to bring humour to the episode, and it is funny that Naruto read Pervy Sage’s book to act this way, which makes it even more hilarious. After punching Naruto, she leaves Naruto and heads back to the residence. However, Naruto managed to loosen the ropes and headed off to the residence, which would later bring chaos.

Ino finds herself in a sticky situation.
At the residence, Ino gave an excuse to the fiancé that she was nervous to meet him. However, her disguise was almost compromised. For instance, when she opened the door, Naruto (disguised as the princess) was there, behaving provocatively, and Naruto stood still. This left the fiancé confused, which caused Ino to kick Naruto as he landed in the lake outside. When she tried to maintain her composure, the prince was convinced that he saw the other princess outside. As a result, Ino distracts him by unintentionally touching his face, which makes him assume that she wants a kiss from him. Things get weirder when a piece of romantic music plays in the background as he closes the door by snapping his fingers so that the workers can’t see their “romantic” moment. Moreover, things get even more awkward when he keeps getting closer to Ino while Ino is trying to avoid him. Luckily, the princess came in time to save Ino from the sticky situation.
The princess was angry at Ino for almost kissing him. In response, Ino managed to calm her down by saying that she didn’t want to kiss him at all, and she thanked the princess for saving her. So Ino headed back to the residence and left the real princess standing outside, but then things got even crazier.

Naruto’s carelessness leads to the unravelling of the truth.
When the princess was outside, she saw Naruto still disguised as her coming out of the lake and sneezing. Afterwards, Naruto realised that he needed to pee, and since there was no bathroom close by, he decided to just pee outside, thinking that no one was watching. However, he was in for a surprise when the real princess called him out with an enraged look on her face. Her demeanour was even frightening, as there was visual imagery of fire oozing from her body. Naruto realises that he is in trouble, and his fears prove to be accurate when the princess chases after him around the residence. What makes it funny is that he was still peeing as he ran, and as he jumped to the roof, so did the princess.
Meanwhile, in the residence, Ino was giving the excuse that she had disappeared because she was not ready to reveal her feelings to him yet. While she said this, on the roof, Naruto was still peeing while running, and the princess, still enraged, was still chasing after him. This caused a noise when Ino and the prince went outside, thinking that it was raining. When they got outside, it seemingly looked like rain, but it was Naruto’s urine that formed a rainbow outside the door 😂😂. To make matters worse, Ino stuck out her hand outside, thinking that she was feeling the rain when it was Naruto’s urine. Moreover, to add fuel to the fire, Naruto still disguised himself as the princess fell from the roof with his urine, which touched Ino’s hand. As a result, Ino was left stunned, and when the princess fell as well, that’s when her identity was revealed, while Naruto was back to normal. After Ino realises what just happened, she becomes enraged at Naruto, as does the princess, which compels them to gang up on Naruto and fight him. Meanwhile, the fiancé is confused about what is going on. The princess decides to tell him the truth, and when he finds out that the person he is hanging out with is an impostor, he reacts differently, which is unexpected.
It is revealed that the prince likes chubby women, and Ino is unable to comprehend why. The fiancé likes chubby women, as is evident by his words, “That body is the very pinnacle of perfection, bravo!” Afterwards, he tossed rose petals in the air, started tap dancing with a rose in his mouth, and kneeled to propose; hence, she is now officially his future wife. This was a situational irony where what happened, which was the prince having a liking for chubby women, was the opposite of what was expected, which was that they thought he liked slim women. When Ino realised what had happened, she was stunned that she had wasted her time on a mission for nothing. In other words, the princess could have saved the trouble if she were honest. Ino and Naruto would have just stayed at the Leaf Village, focusing on other things.
To conclude the episode, as Naruto heads back to the leaf village, Ino can’t believe that the prince casts her aside and insists that all guys like a woman with a slim figure. This episode proves to be entertaining and hilarious.
