King Arion Azraelis walked with a measured, deliberate pace across the barren wasteland outside the towering gates of Fort Vigilance. Despite the blaring alarms echoing from the distant fortress, the environment around him felt eerily calm. The wind whipped at his dark cape, but his mind was silent, focused entirely on the monumental choice he had just made. He had abandoned his empire, his Sentients, and his entire vision of conquest to surrender.
Suddenly, the dry earth a few feet in front of him rippled. A circular Celestial Water Gate tore open from the ground, glowing with divine light as cosmic water splashed violently around its edges.
Queen Nia Kasumi emerged from the portal, her eyes blazing with celestial fury. She didn't hesitate for a single second. Raising her hands, she unleashed a Radiant Nova. A blinding explosion of pure light, capable of vaporizing matter at the atomic level, shot directly at Arion’s chest.
Arion’s reflexes flared. He quickly raised a hand, tearing open a Gate of Banishment right in front of him. The devastating beam of the Radiant Nova plunged harmlessly into the pocket dimension rift, disappearing into the void.
But the beam was only a distraction.
Before Arion could close the rift, Nia was already beside him. Her fist was wrapped in the blinding, concentrated energy of every star in the universe, channeling her devastating ability, Light of the Cosmos. She drove her fist directly into Arion's side with a cosmic impact that shook the very atmosphere.
The blow sent Arion flying backward through the air like a meteor. He skidded across the sky but arrested his momentum before he could hit the ground, hovering effortlessly in the air.
Arion wiped his mouth and chuckled, looking down at the furious Queen. "Nice one, but it is futile compared to your brother............Essence Manifest: Imperial Aether Tyrant, Cosmic Dominion Surge Special Technique: White Expanse".
Instantly, the dark, imperial aura of his Essence Manifest exploded outward, warping the space around them. A blinding flash consumed the battlefield, and in a fraction of a second, both Arion and Nia were violently pulled from the physical world.
Inside the secure briefing room of Fort Vigilance, chaos erupted. The scout mages, who had been maintaining their Astral-Projection Reconnaissance to monitor the confrontation outside the gates, stumbled backward as their holographic displays turned to static.
"We lost them!" one of the lead scouts shouted in panic. "Their energy signatures completely vanished from the physical plane!"
Zeraxis Prime’s mechanical eyes whirred and narrowed. "They haven't been destroyed. They've been displaced into a pocket dimension," the colossal cyborg deduced instantly. He turned toward the heavy blast doors, his Hypercore Reactor humming with power. "Lock down the perimeter. I am heading to their last known coordinates."
The overwhelming noise of the wasteland was replaced by an absolute, deafening silence. Nia found herself standing in an endless, featureless white expanse—a realm of pure emptiness with no sky, no ground, and no horizon.
It was the exact same boundless void where Arion had fought Kaipo.
Nia’s aura flared defensively, her hands glowing with celestial energy as she prepared to launch another assault.
"Slow down," Arion said, holding up a hand, his voice calm and echoing unnaturally in the void. "Do not attack me."
Nia’s eyes narrowed, her celestial light shining brighter against the pure white backdrop. "Why should I listen to a lying tyrant like you?" she asked forcefully. "You bring war to our doorsteps and now expect a conversation?"
"Because I have decided to ally with you," King Arion replied plainly. He let his arms drop to his sides, exposing himself to her attacks. "But just me. My people... Tenzin, the Sentient army... they will undoubtedly try to get revenge against me for this betrayal."
Nia scoffed, keeping her guard raised. "You are not making any sense. After everything you have done, after the universes you have shattered, you just have a sudden change of mind?"
Arion looked at her, his dark eyes unreadable. "I met your brother."
The white expanse seemed to hold its breath. Nia froze, her glowing hands dimming as the shock of the statement hit her. For a long, agonizing moment, there was nothing but absolute silence between them.
"Impossible," Nia finally whispered, her voice trembling.
"It's true," Arion said, his tone carrying the weight of the cosmic truth. "I fought him in this very expanse. After I fought Kaipo, I still didn't agree with him. I thought he was a fool for abandoning the universes. But... the more I thought about what Kaipo said, the more it started to make sense. The burden of absolute domination, the suppression of free will... he revealed the futility of it all."
Nia’s face hardened. Her grief over her brother was a wound she refused to let Arion exploit. "You are trying to trick me," she snapped.
Her celestial aura erupted, shifting from pure white to the vibrant, world-resetting hues of a cosmic sunrise. She activated her ultimate ability, Eternal Dawn. The blinding light began to fill the white expanse, ready to erase Arion from existence.
But as soon as she unleashed her power, a phenomenon occurred that defied all magical laws.
A single piece of paper materialized in the space between them—the exact same pristine paper that had crumbled to dust at Arion's touch when he had woken up in the peaceful meadow after his fight with Kaipo.
The paper pulsed with an immense, overwhelming power that transcended both Arion's Forbidden Dominion Magic and Nia's Celestial Light Magic. In an instant, the aura radiating from the paper forcibly deactivated their magic. Arion’s Imperial Aether Tyrant form dissolved, and Nia’s Eternal Dawn was snuffed out like a candle in a hurricane.
The white expanse shattered like fragile glass.
With a rushing sensation of wind and gravity, Arion and Nia were thrown back into the physical world, landing heavily on the dirt just outside the gates of Fort Vigilance.
They were not alone. Zeraxis Prime, towering and armed to the teeth, was already waiting at the coordinates, flanked by a squad of elite mages. As soon as Arion appeared, the mages raised their weapons, furious and ready to strike down the tyrant. However, they quickly realized their magic was completely deactivated—suppressed by the lingering aura of the piece of paper that now floated gently down toward the earth between Nia and Arion.
Unlike before, the paper was no longer blank. Elegant handwriting covered its surface.
Nia reached out and grabbed the paper. The moment her fingers touched the parchment, the immense suppressing aura stopped, and the natural flow of magic returned to the atmosphere.
Zeraxis Prime stepped forward, aiming his plasma cannons directly at Arion. "Give the word, Queen Nia. I will vaporize him right now," the cyborg growled, the other mages shouting in angry agreement.
"Back off!" Nia commanded, holding up her hand. The absolute authority in her voice caused Zeraxis and the mages to pause, though they kept their weapons trained on Arion.
Nia looked down at the paper, her heart pounding as she recognized the handwriting immediately. It was Kaipo's. With a trembling voice, she read the message aloud for everyone to hear.
"My dearest Nia,
If you are reading this, then fate has woven its threads exactly as it needed to. Arion speaks the truth—we did clash in the void, and I showed him the ultimate cost of solitary tyranny. Do not strike him down. Though he has walked a path of darkness, King Arion will play a vital and key role in the coming battles.
You must listen to me carefully. The Eclipse Sovereignty is a cancer, but they are not the true root of the rot in this reality. The 6 Kingdoms—The Judge and his Council—are the fundamental danger to all of existence. Their obsession with absolute order will bring about the erasure of everything we hold dear. You must set aside your past grievances and use your overall, combined strength to defeat both factions.
I cannot tell you exactly how to defeat them. My omniscience showed me that forcing a specific path only guarantees failure. The true power to win this war lies in your ability to choose, to adapt, and to unite. The future is no longer written in the stars.
The future is in YOUR hands.
- Kaipo"
The wind howled across the barren wasteland, but the group outside the gates stood in absolute, stunned silence. Nia slowly lowered the paper as it turned to dust, her eyes lifting to meet King Arion's. The lines of war had just been completely redrawn.
