This chapter had a really fun mix of exploration, worldbuilding, and action. I liked Trevor stumbling into the nuuclanites because it gives him a chance to actually use his new abilities to help someone else. Olu was interesting too, especially with his guilt over accidentally destroying his own people.
The fight with the champion was probably my favorite part. Trevor goes in confident, only to realize the nuclear atmosphere affects his powers and the champion is much stronger than expected. Him getting captured with the dampening collar was a great way to humble him.
And Arne deciding Damien will be her next training partner was such a fun ending. I'm really curious to see what happens when she reaches him, and whether Trevor can escape the RA. While going through your fic I ended up thinking of something. If you're interested can I tell u?
