The thing that comforts most is knowing we'll meet them again.

Never easy losing someone, even worse, to watch them fade away. Short story where I got a feeling of....remorse...in just a few short paragraphs.

I hate to admit it, but most of this story is true. During the pandemic, she asked me to visit her, and by the time I finally did, she was gone. There were days I grieved for her. Even now, while I’m writing this, I feel really sad remembering her.
