Hello everyone, I have a big announcement. I’ve been thinking about my output for a while now, since I have only published a few chapters this year and now am running behind on productivity. Then I thought about it deeply and I realized that I haven’t really been enjoying what I’ve been creating. It all seems really lackluster and the work I’ve put up publicly I don’t think really represents my talent and standards I have for myself. That’s why I’ve decided to basically reset everything.
Now this isn’t a huge deviation from what I’ve planned from the start but it’s way sooner than I had thought it would come but I think this is the right path forward for me. It’s also better for you, or whoever consumes my work, for it to be the best of quality I can make for you. My past work is basically a catalogue of my progress of story writing and I was making it up as I went along basically and had no real plan. That’s why some of the plots don’t make sense or characters seemingly shift into something they weren’t established to be.
It’s not really an excuse but it’s just an explanation but hey I was just having fun but now I want to take it pretty seriously. So starting now I’m halting every story and basically ending it there and resetting them from the start. This time I have it all planned out, something I’ve been writing down since like a year ago and I think I’m ready to put it into motion.
The plan moving forward is to start on the one that got me into doing this, OVERPOPULAS, will be the first one resetted. Then the next, THE ELANTRA PIRATES, NED, and INDESTRUCTIBLE. Plus a short story or two. I’ll be releasing a first chapter for all of them then start working on just one until I finish it instead of hopping back and forth which kind of burned me out.
That’s basically the update, I have no clue when the next chapters will be going out and I’m not ready to put a specific date on release just yet. I hope you all understand and just stay with me, for whatever audience I have, I just want to make something I’m proud of. Maybe I’m too harsh on myself but if it gets the best result for my art I’ll gladly take it.
