英國藥廠 AstraZeneca 在法庭文件中首次承認，其生產的新冠疫苗可能引起罕見的血栓副作用。

入稟追討賠償的包括現年４４歲的 Jamie Scott，他曾於２０２１年接種疫苗後出現身體不適，送院後被診斷有血栓及腦出血，接受手術後，昏迷一個多月，導致永久性腦受損。康復後 Scott 的記憶力變差，閱讀、寫作、聽力和口語皆有困難，雙眼部分失明不能駕駛，令從事 IT 工作的他失去工作能力。
