I call out to the waves

The waters that carried them away

That leave me to stay

To carry the burden that was left behind

Left without sunshine

My tears have dried

My voice has left me

Wanting to join them in the sky

I never even had the chance to tell them goodbye

They said it wasn’t my time

But I’ll sit here

As the waves rush to my feet

Alone at the summer beach

I’ll wait for the end

Until I see you again
