Cherophobia

A symptom (I’m not gonna mention who but they know who 😂) that haunts my sleep.

It’s poison, a sickening toxin I’m forced to keep.

I can’t let it go, it haunts me wherever I run;

Always there to ruin my fun.

It starts with C, just like my name,

And just like me, it isn’t one of fame.

I can scream and I can shout,

But never, never can I just let it all out.

Gaiety is now my demon,

A smile and dimples considered a treason.

More like a jail cell though,

If you looked inside my eyes, you’d see an empty cove.

Bad luck lurks whenever I’m around,

Its chains of despair and anxiety hold me bound.
