CHAPTER 13 — THE CORE’S TRUE PURPOSE

Location: The Core Chamber — The Heart

Timeline: 3932 AE/AD

They stood before it — the Aegisirean Core, pulsing like a living sun, gold and deep violet, turning slowly, breathing light.

"I am not power to be wielded. I am connection to be tended."

LYRA:

"Connection… like OMEGA?"

"OMEGA is the reflection. I am the source. I link not only systems — but possibilities. What was, what is, what may be."

ELARA:

"You show us what we could become."

"I show you what you already are — if you choose it."

Kaelen folded his arms, watching Lyra closely.

KAELEN:

"Many have seen this. Many have seen only their own ambition. What do you see?"

LYRA:

"I see a promise. That we can do better. Be better."

VORIS:

[quiet, from the back]

"I see… how small I was."
