I saw that the wizard used a rain of icicles. The attack went at me. I dodged and heard the shatter of the ice. What was satisfying as kids, now turned bad. "Ironic," I thought to myself.
Jayko used night's fury on the wizard, and weakened him a bit. I had to make a shield, and ran to avoid the icicles, I succeeded in avoiding them, but he hit me with a quick fireball. My armor was far too damaged to protect from anything more than a couple hits, so I went on the offensive.
I used an icicle at the wizard, then dashed forward and whacked the wizard hard. I then used a bolt of lightning, preparing for a fireball.
I then used my full power fireball. It hit hard, and he was knocked into the mansion's brick walls, and he collapsed into the grass. He looked angrily, almost aiming something. Jayko was hit by a move called phantom claw. This was a move that would go behind someone in their movement for 5 seconds (Also known as movement speed. The claw hit him in the back, then knocked him forward. Jayko took advantage of this and used a max power night's fury with the momentum, jabbing it into the head of him with a clunk, and he disappeared too.
They left behind 2000g and even the other dragon scale armor. WhisRhobe put the other armor on and we took the great amounts of gold. We went back to the town, no greeting except a murmur here and there. Then we sold our old armor, and their odd loot, then decided to buy a 50 pack of sparkling oranges for 1000g, and an enchant onto each of our weapons.
After that, we went to the Local Inn. In the two days until the enchantments were done, Jayko bought a rare type of monster part. I can't imagine what he wanted with it, but it's probably a powerful one. I went into town and took a magic school lecture available for adventurers. It was on fire magic, then, I walked into the room where the teacher stood, getting ready to teach. I walked in, and saw a dwarf, druids, and even barbarians like Jayko. The class started with a lecture on general magic.

"Magic is formed from the forces and energy from the earth, with that, we learned to alter it, maneuver it, and control those forces. There are many types of magic. Some of these are acid, which is corrosive, known as the poison from creatures which it comes from. Water comes from the water in the air, plants and oceans. Fire comes from the lava and wildfires raging strong. Ice comes from the everlasting glaciers and cold. Electricity comes from lightning and static electricity that shocks the world. Life comes from the plants, trees, and life of all forms. Soul magic is the souls of creatures, which endure the hardships the body goes through. Light and dark exist in eternal opposition, each defined by the total absence of the other."
One of the younger mages in the room asked, almost confused, "What prevents our blood from moving by water magic? Our bones from crushing by stone?"
The lecturing teacher said, "We can't prove it for sure, but it seems our soul has magic resistance, and that extends to our body, it basically is a shield from our direct bodies from elemental manipulation."
Another hand raised, "Why do soul creatures not have far more resistance to magic?"
The teacher said calmly, "They don't use their souls for defense, only offense, plus, the souls of the dead still have some control of each other, and don't do defense, they refuse to help."
He then explained, "Fire is a more unique element than others. It consumes, builds, and resets. To understand it is truly challenging, and to truly master it, that secret must be learned by you. First, we head to the training grounds."
The training grounds had 50 dummies, each stabbed into the floor, having soot, stains, and... Something. and the flooring was dirt. It was dingy, but acceptable.
The teacher said, "Everyone, attempt to use a fireball, if you can't, we have work to do. If you can, improve it. If you improve one fire move, the new fire moves are more masterful, more... Artistic! If you do that, improvement will be massive."
I saw the druids try to use a fireball and accidentally send out vines. The barbarians used small embers of a full fireball. The mages used good fireballs, the smell of smoke releasing from the dummies, and, the smell of dew, in the druids case. I used mine, forming the fire forcefully, the fire lightly fought my magic though, and the fireball hit the dummy, blasting an arm off into the metal gates behind the old dummy.
I wondered why my fireball resisted me when the teacher said to me, "Impressive. Your fireball is powerful. Odd... Try to figure out the secret, learn it as your own technique."
I tried for a while to think the problem out, but an answer refused to be grasped.
I kept using my fireballs, changing the size, density, and even making it hotter.
I wanted to make an inferno to deal great damage to a large army, but I still can't figure it out.
I left the class, with more powerful fire, but the move I want is still too large with the fire fighting me still. The class was instructive. Maybe something will tell me what I need to learn.
I learned a lot. I learned Jayko practiced his attacks too. He apparently improved his attack by a significant amount. Finally, the enchantments were done. Jayko got the Looting and Sharpness enchants. I got Magic Control I. We were ready for anything.
We talked for a while and decided we should travel to a new town. We unlocked the warp pad so we could teleport here again. The journey moves onward!
