Dudu and the Elephant
My name is Dudu. I come from the great African savanna. I am going to tell you my story, and you will be very surprised.
In Africa, the lives of us children are very hard. My father's name is Mountbatten, and my mother's name is Mihanna. They are not nice to me at all. But, my mother's cooking is so delicious!
One day, she cooked cassava. I was very hungry, so I ate a little more. She said to me, "Eat less, eat less, save some for your brother. Your brother works in the carpenter's workshop and can earn money for the family, but you just want to go to school."
My father is also very bad to me. Every time he gets drunk, he beats and scolds me. He beats me like an African drum.
On this day, I met an elephant on the savanna. His name is Mido. I said to him, "I want to go with you and see the savanna. With you, nothing will dare to bully us. Your tall body is my best shelter. Even the lions on the savanna won't dare to touch me. The wild dogs will run far away when they see you and me. Even the leopards and wild dogs will hide far away from us.
I will lead you to drink the cleanest and coolest water, and I will take you to eat the best and tallest grass. I will never say, 'Eat less, eat less.' You can eat as much as you want.
