"Whoa, easy there, Akari-chan," Gojo chuckled, gently catching her wrist. "I apologize—it's just that I get too distracted every time I see you."
Akari's grip slipped, and the tessen clattered loudly against the wooden floorboards. The violent hum of purification energy vanished in a second.
A deep red blush rushed up her neck and flooded her cheeks as her eyes wavered, completely unable to meet Gojo's gaze.
"Ren, give him the usual flowers for the shrine. It's on me," she muttered, bolting immediately into the back room and slamming the door shut to hide her burning face.
"Well," Gojo said brightly, taking his bouquet from Ren. "Guess I'm a regular after all."
Ren rolled his eyes as he watched Gojo walk off with a triumphant smile.
"So, there you are," Shoko Ieiri waved as she caught up to him. "Since when do you have this habit of sending flowers over to the shrine?" she asked curiously.
Gojo just smiled as they walked together toward the shrine. "I'm just doing a good deed for my sins."
