The shop stayed busy until noon.
Akari sat comfortably near the counter, arranging a fresh batch of lilies. It was finally a quiet afternoon after the last customer left. Gojo suddenly pulled a high chair over, sitting close enough that their shoulders brushed.
"Satoru, I'm working here," Akari mumbled as he leaned in closer. Gojo sighed, pressing a gentle kiss into the top of her hair.
"Well," Satoru whispered, his voice warm against her ear. "The board is cleared and Suguru's little surprise party completely blew up in his face. I guess the flowers can wait."
Akari blinked, her eyes snapping open as the sudden shift in his tone caught her entirely off guard.
Before she could process the warning, Gojo's smirk widened as he playfully scooped her up.
"Satoru! Put me down, someone's going to see—" she protested, dropping the stems she was holding.
"I flipped the sign, your shop is closed for the moment," Gojo chuckled with amusement as he carried her effortlessly toward the back room.
"Wait, what are you—" Akari tried to wriggle away, kicking her feet.
The moment the back door clicked shut, Gojo closed the distance between them, cutting off any chance for her to retort.10Please respect copyright.PENANAsjqpl0BHa1
