Miles away, Gojo felt a familiar pulse of searing, incandescent pressure wash over the district.
Geto’s smile vanished completely. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared up at his own collapsing barrier.
"Well, Suguru," Gojo said, "It looks like your little trap just backfired."
The moment the light cleared, Gojo vanished from the alleyway entirely. "I leave the fun to you guys!"
He just teleported, leaving a bewildered group of students and a very frustrated Suguru Geto staring at empty air.
Back at the safehouse, the air was still thick with the lingering ozone of Akari’s released power.
Akari let out a weak, breathless sigh. "Remind me... never to take that thing off again."
Before Nanami could reply, the space beside the shattered window violently warped. The air tore open with a sharp pop, and Gojo stepped through.
A faint, tired smile tugged at the corner of Akari's lips. "Your timing, as always, takes its sweet time."
In two long strides, he was kneeling beside her. His thumb brushed against her cheek, checking for any hidden injuries. "Are you hurt? What happened? I felt that blast all the way from the district—"
"I'm fine, Satoru," Akari interrupted, shifting her glance toward Nanami.
From the corner of the room, Nanami cleared his throat loudly, picking up his briefcase and turning toward the door.
"Just send my overtime bonus to my office, Gojo. I'm taking the rest of the day off," Nanami said, stepping over a pile of purified shadow-ash.17Please respect copyright.PENANAaMTWq5g2fw
