I was sitting in my room listening to music when all of a sudden I heard screaming. I walked out of my room and saw everyone screaming in the bathroom so I walked over. A pipe in the wall was broken and water was everywhere. I grabbed the pipe and pushed it into the wall and I screamed for everyone to grab towels, clothes, anything. It didn’t work. The bathroom floor was covered in water but that wasn’t the worst part. I told my cousin to hold the pipe and ran downstairs…water was pouring from the ceiling fan and I started crying. My cousin called our parents who were at the store at the time. I can't remember what we told them but I do remember screaming angrily at them to get to the house now and then an alarm sound started blasting through the house. I told everyone to get outside of the house.
7 children in pajamas outside on the coldest day of the year crying their eyes out in the snow and ice…I ran up a hill that was covered in ice I don’t know how but I did, I ran to the fire station in front of our house and as soon as i saw my reflection in that door I started bawling I banged on the door and told them what was happening then I started to go back to the house, but half way down the hill I just dropped my legs gave out and I sat in the snow crying screaming “I couldn’t fix it” over and over again our grandma pulled up a few minutes later and then our parents did too, my mom took one look at the house and broke down in tears, that was the first time I had ever seen her cry like that and I didn’t know it at the time but that wasn’t going to be the last time either.
Because 5 or 6 months later when they supposedly had fixed everything, we were moving back in you know what just try to imagine it. You and your mom and 3 younger siblings have been living in a house with your aunt and cousins so 9 people and a cat with kittens. Well you find out that your house is finally fixed and that you can move back in so you are unpacking everything in the house happily putting it away where it belongs, your brother gets in the shower and everything is fine until you sisters start screaming…Water is coming out of the wall you tell you brother to turn off the shower but it’s too late the damage is done water starts pouring from the ceiling fan and the walls from the 2rd floor all the way down to the basement. Everyone, EVERYONE starts screaming and bawling kids run out of the house in tears crying in the front yard you wanna cry but you can’t 911 gets there and they start crying too and you look around and you see your cousins crying, your siblings, your aunt, grandparents all 3 of them, and 911 crying and you lose it. Your grandma tells all the kids to get in the car so you get in the car along with everyone else, all you can hear is crying and screaming and yelling. So you get out of the car and drop down on your knees crying so much that your tears can’t keep up.
