Roy, Gautam, and Isham found themselves pulled from Roy's lab into an unknown place—a completely dark, lonely wasteland surrounded by metal scraps and half-burnt debris. Suddenly, a tall, red creature with a spiked, hammer-like tail passed by, staring at them with red eyes. Isham collapsed on the ground out of sheer terror. Just in time, Roy and Gautam dived toward a nearby cave while carrying Isham
The creature gave chase, jamming its head into the cave opening. Roy could feel its breath just inches away. But right as it reached for Roy's feet, a strange beam of light struck the monster. Its eyes turned stark white, and it was dragged outward. Standing outside was a human wearing a futuristic white outfit who introduced himself as Professor Anurag Thakur. He quickly handed them oxygen masks, placing one on the still-unconscious Isham.
They boarded Anurag's airship, which looked wildly advanced on the inside.
"Sit on the sofa," Anurag instructed.
"But there's no sofa," Roy replied.
At once, a voice commanded, "Sofa class " and a sleek couch rose from the floor.
"Can we sit on it?" Gautam asked. Instead of replying, Professor Anurag sat down.
Roy asked "What do we do with Isham?"
"Just put him on the floor," Anurag said. As soon as Gautam set Isham down, a bright light enveloped him, and his body vanished.
Roy and Gautam were shocked
Seeing their shock, Anurag explained, "In 2101, this is just simple science. Where—or rather, when—are you from?"
"We are from 2026," Roy answered.
Anurag went dead silent. Sensing the shift in his body language, Roy asked, "Is something wrong?"
"No," Anurag said quietly.
Then Anurag asked their names.
Roy replied "Roy Shrivastava" then Gautam said "Gautam Gambhir"
Prof. Anurag said "OK, now what I'm going to tell may break you"
Gautam said "huh,tell me I don't fear anything "
As the airship began its flight toward Anurag's base, the professor explained the devastated landscape. "This planet was ruined by World War 3 and World War 5. Radioactive fallout killed billions and turned survivors into deadly mutated beings" hearing this both Roy and Gautam were full of sadness
"How did World War 3 start?" Gautam asked, tears welling up as he thought of his family back in 2026.
"It began on October 6, 2026," Anurag revealed, causing everyone to freeze. "It lasted until 2038. Tensions between the US and Iran escalated after Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz. Following severe leaks and massive public backlash, President Victor Vance launched nuclear strikes, triggering total war. Decades later, WW4 broke out in 2047 when Pakistan tried to claim resources from India and Afghanistan, but the Indian army ended the conflict in days. Pakistan ceased to exist after that."
Anurag laughed a bit while saying this but neither Roy nor Gautam laughed the room went completely silent.
Prof. Anurag said breaking the silence "would you like to hear the full story of WW3 ?"He further explained that the war between the US and Iran, which started in February 2026, started to get more and more serious. Breaking the ceasefire agreement, Iran straight up blocked the Strait of Hormuz, cutting off the fuel supply of many countries. The countries pressured the US to stop the war. Victor Vance, instead of doing so, got angry and launched even more bombs on Iran. In anger and wanting to seek revenge, Iran played a trick. Instead of fighting with weapons, they did something else. They fired some class hackers into US system files in which Victor Vance was involved, and posted the articles on the internet. The whole world read the articles and saw the leak of teenage girls and boys being harassed. People got angry, started to protest on the streets and on the internet, and even questioned him inside the White House. At last, out of anger, Victor Vance straight away launched nukes on 6th October, and World War 3 started. It caused many destructions, and it took years to recover from it.
Roy asked, "That's it?"
Anurag replied, "Yes.
Gautam said "but there's no such difference from the story yo told us before like I am wanting to say that it looks like you just elaborated the story you told us before. "
Look back." Roy looked back and saw a small, flying, robotic bug type of thing. Anurag said that the robotic bug is a small but dangerous type of secret agent. It collects all the information and shares it with the headquarters. If it finds anything fishy, it rrests the person.
Roy said jokingly " means in 75 years nothing changed the strong people still have the control over the weak people."
Prof. Anurag said while laughing "Yeah , Just like before ."
Gautam said "Means still people annot speak the truth freely."
Prof. Anurag said while his face turned serious "Unfortunately, Yes!"
Soon, they arrived at Anurag's base—invisible from the outside and controlled entirely by thought. Small, floating water bubbles drifted toward them.
"It's the water of the future," Anurag explained. "Touch it, and it absorbs directly into your body."
Roy touched a bubble, watching it merge seamlessly with his skin. Exhausted from the terrifying journey, Roy lay down and quickly fell fast asleep.
After some time, Roy woke up to a suspicious sound—foul, muffled voices echoing through the base. While the others were still asleep, Roy crept toward the room where the sound originated and pressed his ear to the door.
Suddenly, the door slid open automatically. The room was completely empty. Before he could react, someone tapped his shoulder. Roy jumped back in a fighting stance.
"Are you okay?" Anurag asked, standing right behind him.
"I... I was just looking for the toilet," Roy lied.
Anurag pointed down the hall. "That way."
Roy thanked him and stepped inside, but his mind remained raced with suspicion about the voices he had heard.
Later, Anurag took Roy and Gautam outside to survey the landscape. The sky above was a sickening shade of yellow and orange.
"Nuclear radiation destroyed the atmosphere," Anurag explained. "It also mutated normal creatures into massive beasts. The creature that attacked you near the cave earlier was simply a house scorpion from your time."
They continued until they reached a cold, sterile vault that resembled a cross between a hospital and a morgue. "This is where we store victims affected by radiation," Anurag said. "Let's see if anyone of you know is listed."
Using a holographic database from his wristband, Anurag searched for Roy Shrivastava and Gautam Gambhir. Both returned No Record Available, letting them breathe a temporary sigh of relief.
Then Anurag searched for Isham. A single file appeared.
"Who is it?" Roy asked while shaking.
"It's Isham's sister, Bhagya," Anurag replied.
He led them to a cryo-unit and revealed Bhagya's preserved body. Roy and Gautam fell to their knees, weeping at the tragic sight. "We can't tell Isham," Gautam whispered. "He's in no condition to handle this."
On their flight back to base, a massive flying creature slammed into the cockpit window, targeting Roy. The airship lost control, crashed into the wasteland, and burst into flames. The beast tore through the wreckage, lunging relentlessly at Roy.
"What is this thing?!" Gautam screamed over the roar of the fire.
"It's just a mosquito from your time!" Anurag yelled back.
"Why is it only coming after me?!" Roy ducked as a giant stinger slashed past his face.
"You have open cuts on your hand—it smells your blood!" Anurag shouted. "Use fire!"
Gautam grabbed a burning piece of debris and thrust it toward the monster, forcing it to retreat into the smoke. But before they could celebrate, the giant mosquito swept down from behind and plunged its stinger directly into Anurag's neck.
Anurag screamed in agony, shoving the boys backward. "Stay away from me! I'm infected with radioactive venom—I'm going to turn into a zombie! You have to kill me!"
"We can't do that!" Gautam cried. "What are we supposed to do without you?"
While Anurag and Gautam were arguing, Roy grabbed a heavy metal pipe from the crash debris, his hands trembling as he prepared to make an impossible choice.
