Arloh couldn't catch up with Rei and the group she was with, he lost them in the crowd , he knew he'd have to search , he couldn't sit by and let someone else be a victim of reuben's nonsense. Everyone in the class knew to stay away from Reuben boys, now they couldn't do much on school grounds but outside the school,if you you were with them you were basically prey, they were spontaneous and unpredictable and could even resort to violence and they often got away with it especially when Reuben was around, *but now what could they want from the new girl ?and why was she stupid enough to go with them?* Arloh thought as he stood outside the school thinking of what to do next,hands on his waist ,he felt he was probably the only one who would be so stressed about such a situation, but that was because he knew what could happen and how bad things could get.
He'd have to check all the usual spots outside school that Reuben and his gang usually hanged out in, but which one would they most likely take a girl ,he didn't have time to think, he'd have to search all of them.

“Dude she's too good , who is this girl ? Why can she do that move?!!!” One of The group of boys asked in shock of how good Rei was at the games, they had been in the cafe with her for just over an hour now and she had won every game, and beat every one of the three guys in any game they played. “Look I'm just that good at games,..” Rei said as she stood up to a “K.O!!” soundbite ringing out of the game monitor as she finished off the last challenger in the combat game “.. anyways it was fun guys, I should go home now, maybe one day I'll teach you my gaming skills” Rei got up casually picking up her backpack and was about to head out without even waiting for a goodbye from her ‘partners in gaming crime’. “Wait” a hand reaches out grabbing hers as she turned to leave, “..it would be rude of us to just let you go home with nothing after a fun gaming session” the ‘leader’ of the three said with a smile that anyone would definitely notice was menacing .

But not Rei, “you're right , that's would be rude, what do you want to do then” Rei asked , completely oblivious to the suspicious mannerisms of the group. “Nothing much I just bought you this cold drink to help you relax after a Tiring day on your way home” the leader said as he brought out a fizzy drink from his bag, he had bought it when he left Rei and the others playing the game and went to the store.
He opened the drink for rei and offered it to her “have a sip our queen” he said with a rather exaggerated bow. “Hmph..” Rei chuckled slightly scratching her chin as she accepted the drink “..ah you really know what to say, since you all have been nice and good subjects..” she says and paused to take a sip of the drink , the guys especially the leader watching with comical intent to make sure she drank it . “Ahh it's nice, thanks guys” Rei enjoyed the service, it was a fun gaming session and they even offered a refreshing beverage ,”I'll see you tommorow..” she waved lazily and turned around to leave , but almost immediately a sharp headache kicked in and she stumbled almost falling.
“What's going on,are you okay?” The guys came gathering helping her up,the leader's act was so fake anyone would know he expected this outcome . “Ahh my head hurts a bit and I'm feeling..” Rei slurred her words as a heavy dizziness made it hard for her to grasp her surroundings. “We should take her to a clinic” one of the minions suggested and the leader looked at him with furrowed brows before looking back at Rei who had been knocked out cold already. “Set her down on the chair” the leader ordered . The other two put her down still seemingly confused. “What's going on ?” One of them asked , “I thought we were just gonna do the usual and hold her up in the alleyway and make her give us double the money we spent on gaming” he added still confused if the leader had anything to do with the girl losing consciousness. The other minion picked up the bottle and sniffed it “did you put something in her drink dude?!!” He was shocked as this was not how they usually operated,especially not when Reuben wasn't around .

The leader opened the door of the private lounge there were in and looked around if anyone was closeby,after confirming the coast was clear ,he shut the door and turned to address the minions. “Guys don't you think we should try something else?” He said with his hands in his pockets , he was so proud of himself. “What do you mean something else?” One of the minions asked . “ This is the most gullible girl we've ever gotten , not only is she our only successful catch when Reuben isn't around ,but she was even dumb enough to take the drink…” the leader said hoping the other two understood where he was going.
“This smug bitch showed up yesterday and I knew instantly she was stupid and an easy catch,we should make the most of this” the leader added. “What do you mean?” His minions asked . The leader took out a cigeratte ,lit it and put it in his mouth, he was feeling like a real mastermind now. “What I mean is…” he interrupted himself with a violent cough “...stupid cigarette,” he said angrily taking it out of his mouth like it was the cigarettes fault. “...what I mean is we shouldn't do small time nonsense like collecting pocket money anymore, we can hold this girl secretly for ransom, her parents must have money , I'd be rich and I can even drop out of this school filled with those rich snobs” .
“Dude! Are you stupid?” One of the minions objected , “we are in this school on a program and you want us to do a kidnapping? Without Reuben ? to make it worse…no way dude” .
“Why are you so scared, it will be easy, we can wear masks and pretend to be someone else when she wakes up, we get the money and release her, this is our chance to do something that's the real deal” the boy suggested to his allies as he took another puff of his cigeratte . “She's going to know it's us as soon as she wakes up , even if we do get the money we will get arrested at school the very next day , are you crazy?” The other minion added. But then with a look as sinister as the devil on his face the leader had an idea “I'm not stupid guys,” he walked over to check the entrance to the lounge again,then continued, “what do you think about a kidnapping victim who unfortunately loses her ability to speak or maybe even see, she's not blabbing to any cops about suspects then is she?..” the leaders words had the room dead silent, the minions looked at him like they were mute. He brought out a bottle of a substance that resembled acid from his bag and shook it while smiling at his comrades. “Check her bags for anything,turn off her phone , then get her up we will pretend to be her friends taking her to the clinic then take her to a hideout and keep her there, this will be easy money my friends” he ordered as he gestured rubbing his fingers together and turned of the cigarette and disposed of it.
The minions who still hadn't said anything complied and started the process. “But I swear to god if we get caught dude I'll kill you” one of them said as he searched Rei's bag “the dumb girl doesn't even have her phone on her” he remarked excited . “Alright let's do this ,boys” the leader said as he picked up the bottled drink from the table to dispose that evidence as well....

Arloh had searched almost every spot where reuben's boys could possibly take a girl to , he checked the usual spots, they weren't at any restaurants,or the coffee shop, or the school roof ,or the karaoke bar, the abandoned park, the old football pitch ,the mini golf course, he couldn't find them anywhere. He stood at a crosswalk wondering what spots were left, he didn't have to care what happened to Rei, but that was wrong ,this was his business, anything related to Reuben and his boys was his business, he couldn't turn a blind eye. He stood there sweating from running around the neighborhood , he watched a sprinkler system spray water on a freshly mowed lawn and it reminded him of rain, and rain reminded him of Reuben. Reuben's weakness was the rain, he always had an umbrella to hide him from the rain, but also to cover his sinister thoughts and his faces true message. Arloh knew why Reuben hated the rain, so much that he had an umbrella with him even in the summer and winter, but that reason was not enough for the kind of person Reuben had become over the years.. reuben's name was all over arloh's thoughts, arloh didn't know if he hated him or felt sorry for him.. as he stood there watching the sprinkler and thinking of how much he hated Reuben and his creations ,he remembered the one place he hadn't checked, his eyes lit up as he remembered there was one more location, *but surely there was no way she actually agreed to go there with them, did they force her?* He thought to himself and immediately started his run to the game cafe if he was too late bad things could happen , Reuben's boys usually didn't go overboard with their antics when Reuben was not around yet, but he wasn't leaving it to chance.

“Alright get her up , we must not make any mistakes” the leader ordered as the minions started lifting the dead weight of Rei's body from the couch. “I swear if this backfires on us I'm killing you dude” one of them protested again, still not a hundred percent convinced, afterall they weren't criminals just small time crooks who bullied and harassed their mates at school, this was a big deal to go ahead with, but as people on the lower end of the hierarchy often did, he followed orders from the one in charge. “Make sure you somehow hide your faces from the receptionist when we leave we don't want anything tracing back to us” the leader had thought of everything,there was no way his plan was failing. But as the three Stooges hoisted up Rei's dead weight ,she started to move around like she was waking up ."She's moving,she's waking up!, wasn't your drink supposed to keep her out for over an hour?” The minion on the left asked with visible fear on his face. “What the?..don't worry,just knock her out” the leader ordered , “see I told you this won't work , if we hit her and there's visible marks on her body we would get caught before we even leave the building” the one supporting Reis weight complained as he left her body to flop to the ground and the three burst into an argument on what to do now. But as Rei was starting to regain full consciousness, something was different, the body was awake but Rei was not in the room with them, Rei's body stood up quietly from the ground and the three hooligans stopped their argument and stared at Rei trying to see if maybe she had caught on to what happened and would scream or create a scene, but the room stayed silent for a few more seconds as the body in front of them just stood quietly in a wide stance with her head down, it was rather menacing….and then the silence broke in a cold piercing tone as Rei asked the boys .. “who are you ,what am I doing here?” the voice pierced through the room, the boys could feel the change in Rei's person ,whatever it was in that body now, it wasn't human.
