As I was wondering and dissecting the whole interaction like the curious cat that I am,I heard the rusty old speakers let out a sharp sound,the kind that makes you squint a little and my thoughts were interrupted.
"Attention this is Principle Jenkins, can the following students please report to my office with immediate effect!Norman.S, Lily Jenkins,Tyler Stone and Iris Sharpo"
Immediately everyone turned to look at me and whispers echoed everywhere because what the hell was Lily doing with the "school crooks" as the lunch lady used to call Norman and his friends.
A bit relieved I had to leave P.E,I immediately picked up my water bottle and left.Norman and his friends were a bit distant from me as I was walking so fast confident that it was probably a misunderstanding.I could hear a bit of an altercation between them.
"Norman how could you do that to me?" Said Ms.Repaír.Her paranoid self had been following us the whole time and she looked needy for actual answers.
I stopped to look at her she stood with her vintage heels tapping lightly on the ground,one hand holding her waist and her pink floral poncho flowing lightly on her chest ,her Orange lipstick smeared on her chin from pressing her lips too hard in worry.For a moment I thought to myself,what could they have put this lady on the verge of retirement to.
But before they could speak,the speakers again and we knew we had to hurry up.
"Now Tyler and Norman you've been very troublesome this weekend and I hope you know what I'm talking about" said the Principal,
"I want to talk to each one of you individually"
Sat patient outside her office,took out my phone and started reading a story on Penana.
When my turn eventually came,I walked in on the three seated face down tail tucked in, in shame.
I was asked a series of questions on where I was on Saturday and whether I was with Iris
I looked over at her and she signalled me to lie,which I did because after all she seemed already distressed enough.
For lack of evidence,the Principal released us but gave the two young men a one week detention with community service which they weren't particularly thrilled about.
Didn't understand anything but couldn't care less so I just waited for the evening to go home.As I was shutting my locker, among the last people to leave school,I met the lunch lady who was a good friend of mine.Very quiet but for some reason knew all the news around town.

"I heard she, " she made a whoosh sound while widening her eyes and acting like she was swinging a golf club,then smiled sheepishly.
At this point I was confused,"Girllll,I told you quit using those ancient ass terms while talking to me"

Apparently Ms.Repaír was lesbian who ended up coming out late because of fear and lack of freedom in her young days.She ended up matching with someone on Velvet,a lesbian dating app and they went out on a date where apparently Tyler was working as a cashier for the café.Her match was Norman's grandma,or Nonna as he called her,and of course Tyler would find that shocking and funny.He overheard them telling his colleague how they had met,and made sure to stay out of range constantly hiding behind the counter acting busy on the computer but letting out a little giggle.Tyler full of banter went and told almost the whole school and started calling Norman "Granny's gaydar".
Tears started filling up my eyes as I was struggling not to laugh until Agatha let out a giggle and I couldn't hold it in anymore.
We chatted for a while and I left still shaking my head over the whole situation.
"Yo, Professor's grandson",said Jake as they laughed with his friend group .
Norman gave him a light push on his chest
"Easy bro,your grandma might be my step-teacher soon" said Calvin before tugging Jake on the shoulder and laughing again.
Before I knew it a fight broke loose but soon came down after Norman remembered he wouldn't want to get into more trouble.
I couldn't help but go to Iris's place after school because the whole situation was very absurd, didn't know Ms.Repaír knew two types of scissors.Iris still sad over the whole situation revealed that she was the one who had matched them and didn't know her professor's Little affair was actually Norman's grandma. Her teacher had been so mad at her for revealing her dating life in school since she wanted to avoid her students knowing about the relationship .She thought the secret was safe until Ms.Repair was named Professor Pillow talk by the older grades while at P.E. and started getting awkward attention from students.
I calmed Lily down and she was able to see the humor in it eventually and we could laugh at the whole situation.Principal had reassured Ms.Repaír that it was no problem and she shouldnt be shy about it.Wrong move because the next day we were surprised to see her in a corny pride month T-shirt and jeans. Soon enough and upto the day the sweet lady left the school,she was called and even changed her Facebook name to Madam Rainbow!
