「其生若浮，其死若休。」

永寧三年春，蘇懷清十四歲，在蘇府後院的書館裡，遇見了寄居府中的質子蕭玦。

他沉默寡言，眼神深得像一口井。她教他彈琴，對他說：「出人頭地後，回來找我。」他沒有回答，但臨別前夜，他站在月光下對她說了三個字：「我會的。」

十年後，蕭玦回來了。他登基為帝，率十萬大軍踏破皇城。蘇懷清的父親自縊於朝堂，滿門被流放，她從太傅之女淪為樂坊琴師。

十年等待，換來一場國破家亡。可那個曾經承諾會回來的人，如今坐在龍椅上，用一雙她看不懂的眼睛望著她。
