“And what if I don’t agree?”
“Relax,” Arin said.
“Rick… don’t force me.”
“What’s the risk of this, Arin? Maybe in the toss, Liara will come with you.”
Carl added, “Yes, Arin. Just agree.”
Sia also said, “Arin, come on.”
Arin looked at Liara for a moment, then glared at Rick.
“Okay… let’s do the toss.”
“Good.” Rick nodded.
All three of them did the toss.
Rick shouted, “I won! First!”
“Second, Arin.”
“Third, Carl.”
“Now the girls’ toss,” Rick said, looking at Liara. “The first winner will be my riding
partner.”
Sia immediately interrupted. “First, let the toss happen.”
The three girls conducted the toss.
“Yes! Liara wins!” Sia shouted excitedly.
Arin cursed under his breath, “Shit.”
Liara turned her head and looked at Arin. Arin was already staring at her, still tense, still
burning with frustration.
Arin nodded slightly, but his nod wasn’t calm; it revealed controlled anger.
Liara quietly met his eyes and signaled him with her gaze to stay calm.
Arin’s jaw tightened. His face turned slightly red with anger as he looked away for a second.
I can’t even control myself right now… I feel like punching Rick in the face.
He was barely controlling himself when Rick stepped toward Liara, held her hand, and said,
“Let’s go, Liara.”
“Hmm… Rick…” she said softly, then looked toward Arin.
Arin was already walking toward them.
I don’t know what is going to happen now, Liara thought.
Arin grabbed Rick by the collar and, with his other hand, pulled Liara’s hand away from
him.
“How dare you hold Liara’s hand?” he said, staring straight into Rick’s eyes.
“Arin…” she tried to say.
“Shh… now just watch what I do.”
“Leave my collar, Arin, or it will not end well.”
“Oh, really? And how did you think you could hold my Liara’s hand?”
“She is my friend too… right, Liara?” Rick said, looking at her.
“Rick…” Liara started to speak but fell silent.
“I won’t spare you today,” Arin said angrily.
“No, Arin… stop. No one is going to fight. Please,” Liara said quickly. “We are all friends,
and we came here to spend time together, not to fight.”
“Liara, but…”
“Please, Arin… Rick, you too,” she added, looking at both of them.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then slowly, Arin and Rick stepped back, creating distance between each other.
“So, what now, friends? No race?” Carl said, looking around.
“Who said that?” Liara replied. “There will be a race.”
“Not three… six races.”
“What do you mean?” Sia asked, confused.
Everyone around them went silent, their attention shifting completely toward Liara.
“It means… why don’t the girls race as well?” Liara said, raising her eyebrows slightly.
“Wow!” Sia shouted excitedly.
“No… It’s not a good idea. What if something happens to you?” Arin said.
“Yes, Arin is right,” Rick added.
“I think it’s a great idea. It will be fun,” Carl said with a grin.
“Thanks, Carl,” Liara replied. “And don’t worry, all of you, we’ll be fine.”
“Today, the girls will show their power… and also prove the skills I learned from Arin.”
Arin smiled and stepped closer.
“I’m scared,” he admitted quietly.
“Relax, Arin. I can do this,” she assured him confidently.
“Cars are ready!” Carl shouted from behind.
“Carl, where did these three cars come from?” Rick asked, surprised.
“Hey, you forgot my dad owns a showroom,” Carl said.
“Oh yes… right,” Rick replied.
“Liara, best of luck,” Arin said.
“Thank you… You too,” Liara answered with a small smile.
“Come on, girls, let’s go!” Sia shouted.
One by one, they all got into their cars.
Arin drove his car right next to Liara’s.
“Liara, listen… fasten your seatbelt properly and drive slowly.”
“Arin, enough… I understand that my teacher,” she replied.
No matter what happens, I won’t let anything happen to her today, he thought. Even if I lose,
I want her race to go smoothly.
“Start!” Carl shouted.
And the race began.
Liara was driving at high speed, her full focus on keeping the car steady. She tried her best
to stay in control, but in her desire to win, the car would sometimes lose balance and then smooth
out again.
At that moment, Rick’s car was leading.
Where is Arin? It’s not possible that he’s behind, Liara thought.
She slowed her car slightly.
“Arin, you go ahead,” she said, glancing at him.
“No, Liara. I want to stay with you.”
“Yes, that’s fine… but do you think I’m weak?” Liara said, making a slight face.
“No, Liara. I’m just worried about you.”
“Liara, watch the road!” Arin suddenly shouted.
Liara instantly looked ahead.
She was about to crash into Sia’s car.
At the last second, she swerved and avoided it.
“Huh… that was close,” Liara whispered.
The next moment, her expression changed.
She pressed the accelerator harder.
Faster… and faster.
Soon, she began overtaking everyone.
“Liara, slow down!” Arin shouted from his window.
“Not today!” Liara called back. “I’m going to win!”
Her speed increased so much that the road ahead blurred.
Her entire focus was now on one thing: winning.
Seeing her passion, the others also pushed their cars faster.
The race turned intense, almost chaotic.
But there was only one person who didn’t care about the race at all.
The only thing that mattered to him… was Liara’s safety.
Finally, the race came to an end.
“Wow, Liara… what a drive!” Sia exclaimed.
“You drove like some spy running from the police!”
“Amazing, Liara. Today, you even left Arin behind,” Rick said.
“You’re wrong,” Liara replied, glancing at Arin. “No one can beat him, not even me. He
stayed behind on purpose… just to make me feel like I won.”
Arin walked toward her and pulled her into a hug.
“Congratulations… you even overtook me. Keep it up.”
“Thanks, Arin,” Liara replied with a smile.
Arin gently kissed her hair.
“Come on, guys, let’s party for this win!” Carl shouted.
“You’re always in a hurry,” Arin said, shaking his head slightly.
“Yeah, I’m always in a hurry when it comes to parties,” Carl said.
“Okay, let’s go. Everyone to their cars,” Sia announced.
“No, madam. The race is over now; you’re coming with me,” Carl said playfully.
“Okay, boss,” Sia replied, and everyone laughed.
Soon, they all headed toward the bar.
The atmosphere inside the bar was loud music, laughter, dancing, and drinks everywhere.
It was Liara’s first time in a place like this.
“There are so many colors here…” she said softly. “Arin, do you come here every day?”
“Not every day,” Arin replied. “Only on weekends… but whenever I come, I enjoy it.”
Then he leaned closer and whispered,
“I only have two favorite places… one is close to you, and the other is this bar.”
Liara smiled.
“Arin, don’t drink too much today. How will I get home? And Mom must have made my
favorite food… You shouldn’t drink at all, okay?”
Arin stepped closer, wrapped his arms around her, and looked into her eyes.
“Okay, sweetheart.”
“Arin… what will your friends think?” She said shyly.
Arin smirked. “Look over there.”
“Everyone’s already drinking… no one is in their senses here.”
He leaned closer.
So close that there was barely any space left between them.
“No excuses today.”
Liara’s breath caught.
For a moment, everything felt silent.
Arin moved even closer, about to kiss her—
“Arin… your dad!”
“What?” Arin froze.
In that moment, Liara slipped away and ran.
And the chase began…
“Liara…” Arin called out.
He turned again and saw her standing a few steps away.
“Liara, you won’t escape today,” he said, a playful challenge in his voice.
He ran towards her.
But Liara was faster, already running ahead with a soft laugh.
Liara kept running. She didn’t look back even once.
“Arin… I’m tired now… I can’t run anymore.” She was wheezing.
When she finally turned around, the scene behind her made her exhaustion turn into
confusion.
“Where am I?” She whispered. “This looks like a parking area…”
She looked around anxiously.
“Arin? Where are you? This isn’t funny… don’t joke with me. I’m scared,” she called out
loud.
There was no response.
“How did I even come here…?” “If it wasn’t for Arin, I would never have come here.”
“Ahh… My legs hurt so much… and these heels,” she groaned.
Then suddenly, her eyes fell into a corner.
“Oh… stairs!” She said with relief. “I found a way.”
She turned back once, as if she was expecting Arin to appear.
“Now I’ll deal with him.”
Maybe I should hide their… If Arin comes, I’ll surprise him. And if he doesn’t… I’ll just go
back to the bar.
She paused for a second.
But what if he gets worried?
Then a small smile appeared on her face.
He worries me all the time; today it’s my turn.
With that thought, Liara slowly walked toward the stairs.
“Hi…”
“Well, well… she’s hot,” one of the boys said with a smirk.
There were four of them standing to one side, drinking from bottles like it was nothing.
A chill ran down Liara’s spine.
“I don’t feel good about this…” she whispered to herself, her steps instinctively moving
backward.
“You’re right,” another one said darkly. “This one will be fun to handle.”
“W-what… who are you?”
Fear has been completely taken over now.
She knew it
She had trapped herself.
And in that moment, she felt like a fish caught in a net, drawn in by temptation, now unable
to escape.
“You made a big mistake coming here, darling,” one of them said. “If you weren’t this
beautiful, maybe we would have shown some mercy… but now.”
He laughed coldly.
“You might not leave this place alive.”
“Arin… Arin!” Liara screamed, her voice echoing in panic.
She turned to run
But suddenly, her foot got caught in her own heels.
She lost her balance and fell hard onto the ground.
Pain shot through her as her elbow hit the floor, leaving it bruised and wounded.
“Auch… help! Arin!” She screamed, her voice shaking with fear.
“No one is coming to save you,” one of them said coldly.
“Who are you even calling?” another mocked. “Your lover, maybe?”
All four of them were heavily drunk, but their intentions were still dangerously clear.
Liara forced herself to stay conscious. Panic was rising, but she tried to control it.
Quickly, she slipped off her heels, pulling them off harshly with both feet.
Without thinking, she threw them straight at their faces.
“OH!” one of them groaned.
Another caught the heels in his hand and smirked.
“Out?” He laughed, and the others joined in, their laughter echoing cruelly.
“Please… let me go…” Liara begged that her voice breaking.
But there was no mercy on their faces, only something dark and ruthless.
Liara dragged herself backward, trying to create distance.
They kept moving toward her.
With trembling strength, she forced herself onto her feet.
For a moment, she stood
And then she turned to run.
But before she could escape, one of them grabbed her hand tightly.15Please respect copyright.PENANAOTeRekBRFO
