Campus Courtyard - Morning

The morning sun was shining brightly as students gathered in the courtyard. It was a normal day, until Chima arrived.

She walked through the gates wearing a skirt that was... very short. Dangerously short. Uncomfortably short.

Alice's jaw dropped. "CHIMA?! WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!"

Chima rolled her eyes. "It's called fashion, Alice. Look it up."

Wony examined the skirt critically. "That's not fashion. That's a belt pretending to be a skirt."

"It's trendy!"

"It's inappropriate!"

Fatimah approached, her eyes narrowing. "Chima. How short is that skirt?"

Chima shrugged. "I don't know. Normal length?"

Fatimah measured with her eyes. "Chima. That skirt barely covers your thighs."

"It's called a mini skirt!"

"It's called a micro skirt!"

Naila was watching from a bench. "I'm too tired to judge. But it does look cold."

Fatimah was not having it. She walked up to Chima and, without warning, pinched her exposed thigh.

"OW!" Chima yelped, jumping back. "FATIMAH! WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"That was a reminder," Fatimah said calmly. "To wear appropriate clothing."

"APPROPRIATE?! THIS IS APPROPRIATE!"

"Your thigh is literally showing."

"That's the point!"

"It's a bad point!"

Chima rubbed her thigh where Fatimah had pinched her. "That hurt!"

"Good. Maybe next time you'll wear longer skirts."

Alice was laughing. "FATIMAH PINCHED CHIMA! THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!"

Chima glared at her. "Shut up, Alice!"

Wony nodded approvingly. "I support Fatimah's decision. That skirt is unacceptable."

"Unacceptable?!" Chima shouted. "It's a designer piece!"

"Designer doesn't mean decent."

Naila was still on the bench. "I don't understand fashion. I wear whatever's comfortable."

"That's because you're lazy."

"I'm practical."

Chima was still rubbing her thigh. "I can't believe you pinched me!"

Fatimah crossed her arms. "I can't believe you wore that skirt."

"It's not even that short!"

Alice pulled out a measuring tape. "Let me measure it."

"ALICE, NO!"

"YES!"

Alice measured the skirt. "Okay, according to my calculations..."

"You can't calculate skirt length!"

"I just did! It's 20 centimeters long!"

"That's a normal length!"

"That's a napkin!"

Chima grabbed the measuring tape. "Give me that!"

Chima was now chasing Alice around the courtyard. Alice was laughing hysterically.

Wony watched them run. "This is very un-elegant."

Fatimah nodded. "But very entertaining."

Naila was still on the bench. "I'm too tired to run. But I'm enjoying the show."

Chima finally caught Alice. She grabbed her arm.

"Apologize!"

"For what?!"

"For measuring my skirt!"

"It was for research!"

"WHAT RESEARCH?!"

"Social experiment!"

Chima pinched Alice's arm.

"OW! CHIMA!"

"Now we're even!"

"That's not even! You pinched me back!"

"Exactly!"

Campus Cafe - Afternoon

They had finally calmed down. Chima was still wearing the short skirt, but she had tied a jacket around her waist.

"See?" Fatimah said. "That looks better."

Chima glared at her. "I only did this because you kept staring at my legs."

"Because they were exposed!"

"They're legs, Fatimah! Everyone has legs!"

"Not everyone shows them like that!"

Alice was still rubbing her arm. "I can't believe you pinched me."

"You measured my skirt!"

"You pinched me first!"

"That was different!"

"How?!"

"That was discipline! This was revenge!"

Naila was watching them. "You know what? I'm glad I'm lazy. Less drama."

Chima looked at her. "You're not lazy. You're smart."

"I know."

Alice pouted. "No one ever pinches me."

Wony raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to be pinched?"

"No! But I want attention!"

"You always have attention!"

"Not the right kind!"

Chima sighed. "This is the most exhausting day ever."

"And it's only 2 PM," Fatimah added.

"Don't remind me."

Campus - Evening

They were walking home together. Chima was still wearing the jacket around her waist.

"Okay," she said. "I admit. The skirt was too short."

Fatimah smiled. "I knew you'd come around."

"I'm not saying I agree with you pinching me. But I see your point."

"That's all I ask."

Alice was still pouting. "I still think I deserve an apology."

"For what?"

"For being the victim!"

"You measured my skirt!"

"FOR SCIENCE!"

Chima sighed. "Fine. I'm sorry for pinching you."

Alice brightened. "Apology accepted!"

"But if you ever measure my clothes again, I'll do worse."

"Worse how?!"

"You don't want to know."

Naila walked beside them, yawning. "Can we go home now? I'm tired."

"You're always tired."

"I know. That's my charm."

They all laughed.

Because even though they fought. Even though they pinched each other.

They were still together.
