Campus Field - Afternoon
The sun was warm, the grass was soft, and the five girls were enjoying a rare peaceful afternoon. Alice was sprawled on the ground, munching on chips. Naila was half-asleep on a blanket. Chima was scrolling through her phone. Fatimah was reading. And Wony was... somewhere.
Suddenly, a loud whup-whup-whup sound filled the air.
Lilian, who was visiting, looked up. "Is that... a helicopter?"
Chima squinted. "Please don't tell me that's Wony."
The helicopter hovered above the field. The door opened.
And there was Wony, standing dramatically in the doorway, wearing sunglasses and a flowing scarf.
She jumped.80Please respect copyright.PENANAhaCWcpvBik
Wony descended with the grace of an action movie hero. Her scarf billowed behind her. Her sunglasses glinted in the sun.
Everyone scrambled out of the way.
Everyone except Alice, who was still lying on the ground, too lazy to move.
CRASH!
Wony landed directly on top of Alice.
Alice flattened like a pancake. Her eyes spun in circles. Her chips flew everywhere.
Alice's voice was weak, barely a whisper. "...crazy... who... jumps... from a helicopter..."
Wony stood up gracefully, brushing off her outfit. She flipped her hair like a model on a runway.
"Relax, guys," she said calmly. "My landing was perfect, right?"
Naila stared at her. "Perfect?! Alice is a pancake!"
Chima was already furious. "WONY! Do you think this is Mission Impossible?!"
Wony shrugged. "Don't be dramatic. Alice is strong. Besides..." She looked down at the flattened Alice. "I landed on a soft cushion."
Alice wheezed. "SOFT CUSHION?! I'M NOT A CUSHION!"
"You're soft."
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!"80Please respect copyright.PENANA8loQMY3OPE
Lilian and Aslyn rushed over to help Alice. They tried to pull her out from under Wony.
"Hurry, Al!" Lilian said. "You'll become a fossil down there!"
Alice was limp. "My body... feels like toothpaste..."
Aslyn grabbed her arms. "Come on! Stand up!"
"I can't! I'm flat!"
Chima was still yelling at Wony. "What were you even thinking?! You could have killed her!"
Wony adjusted her sunglasses. "But I didn't. See? She's fine."
"She's literally flat!"
"She'll puff back up. She always does."
Alice managed to lift her head weakly. "I... don't... puff..."80Please respect copyright.PENANA1DWADrFPHg
The others finally managed to peel Alice off the ground. She was still slightly flat, like a deflated balloon.
Fatimah was checking her over. "Are you okay, Alice? Can you breathe?"
Alice took a shaky breath. "I... think so..."
Chima shook her head. "This is the craziest thing I've ever seen. And I've seen Alice eat a whole cake in one sitting."
"That was different! That was impressive!"
"This is just... stupid."
Wony was still taking selfies next to the helicopter, completely unbothered.
"This is such a good shot," she said. "The lighting is perfect."
Naila was watching her. "You know what? I thought Alice was the craziest one. But I was wrong."
Chima nodded. "Yeah. The title of 'craziest' officially goes to Wony now."
Alice raised a weak hand from where she was being carried. "I'm... still alive... please don't forget about me..."

They carried Alice across campus to the campus clinic. She was still limp, still slightly flat.
"I can't believe you jumped out of a helicopter," Fatimah said.
Wony was still walking beside them, looking elegant. "It was either that or take the stairs. And stairs are so... pedestrian."
"PEDESTRIAN?!"
"I meant what I said."
Chima glared at her. "You landed on Alice!"
"She was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"I WAS LYING ON THE GRASS!"
"Exactly. You should have been standing."
"THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!"
Naila was walking behind them, shaking her head. "I'm never getting in a helicopter with Wony."
"You weren't even in the helicopter!" Alice shouted.
"I know. And I'm very glad about that."

Alice was lying on the bed, finally starting to regain her normal shape. The doctor had checked her over and declared her "surprisingly fine for someone who was flattened by a falling person."
Alice was still traumatized. "I can't believe you did that."
Wony was sitting beside her. "I said I was sorry."
"You didn't! You said it was a perfect landing!"
"It was!"
"You landed on ME!"
"Yes, but the landing itself was perfect."
Alice screamed into her pillow.
Chima was laughing. "This is going to be a story we tell forever."
"It's not funny!"
"It's a little funny."
"It's NOT!"
Naila nodded. "It's a little funny."
"NAILA!"
"I'm just being honest."
Alice glared at all of them. "I hate all of you."
"We know," they all said in unison.

Campus Cafe - Evening
Alice was finally back to normal. She was sitting at the table, still slightly traumatized but functional.
"Okay," she said. "From now on, when Wony says she's going to do something, we stop her."
"I don't think we can stop her," Fatimah said. "She has a helicopter."
"Then we hide!"
"From a helicopter?"
"Yes!"
Chima shook her head. "Alice, you're being dramatic."
"I was FLATTENED!"
"And you survived. That's what matters."
Alice sighed. "Fine. But I'm never lying on the grass again."
"That's actually smart."
"I'm going to stand at all times. Everywhere. Forever."
"That's impractical."
"So is jumping out of helicopters!"
Wony smiled. "I promise I'll be more careful next time."
"There's going to be a next time?!"
"Of course. I have a helicopter. I'm going to use it."
Alice stared at her. Then she put her head on the table.
"I give up."
"Good choice," Wony said.80Please respect copyright.PENANAbQ6uza4m6o
